Noah's POV
The headlines started rolling in before we even left the stadium, each one more explosive than the last.
'Lightning delivers a show-stopping game by literally stopping the game.'
'Political feud or personal grudge? Here's all we know about the Whittaker feud with the PAC president.'
'Just run the bases, man; why Logan Whittaker's latest political stunt was a waste of time and resources.'
'In defense of The Lightning; a retrospective on the Whittaker's feud with Nathaniel Aldridge.'
'Coyotes' victory run ends in disappointment.'
I've been reading them all out but that one in particular makes Logan groan from his spot on the couch.
He throws an arm over his eyes and sighs dramatically. "Now that's just mean."
I can't even bring myself to crack a smile or produce a laugh and I don't bother faking one. Instead, my thumb hovers over the next headline, the one that makes my breath catch. 'Logan Whittaker; the only one saying it like it is.'
