Tesarius did not visit Aurora that day, per Amalia's instructions. But Aurora could not let things be as they are either, so the next day, she decided she'd see the Emperor herself. But when she got there, the last thing she expected was to be stopped at the door.
"His Majesty is rather… occupied at the moment." Gart said, not meeting her gaze as she scrunched her eyebrows. "He shall see you at a later time."
"And when is that?" Aurora didn't beat around the bush. "He missed the assembly today, and now he refuses to come out of his chambers? What is he thinking?"
Aurora knew berating Gart was pointless, for the man was equally annoyed as her if not more. Still, Gart had something to say.
"Perhaps… it has something to do with the lady that keeps him company a lot these days."
