Now, they were in the right. If the Raiden Shogun dared to strike, they indeed could not withstand such a top-tier Archon.
But could Zhongli allow the Raiden Shogun to act recklessly against them?
The moment the Raiden Shogun appeared, Xiao's body began radiating the ancient, eternal power of the Geo Archon.
Clearly, Zhongli was already watching from here.
"Almighty Shogun!"
Kujou Sara's heart skipped a beat, feeling a twinge of unease.
Things were already relatively stable: Xiao had agreed that the Dragon Riders would only remain for three days, not stationing permanently in Inazuma.
If the Raiden Shogun acted…
Then it would be a huge problem.
She could not help but feel anxious.
Strangely, though, the Raiden Shogun did not seem to have come for that.
She cast a calm glance over the Shogunate soldiers. Even with the massive dragon formation, there was no trace of surprise on her face.
Cold and emotionless, she seemed like a machine devoid of feeling.
Her gaze immediately locked onto Lumine, and she said with indifference:
"A variable… leave Inazuma."
By the Raiden Shogun's usual logic, upon seeing a variable like Lumine, the correct first move would have been to draw her blade.
That she did not only showed that she was restraining herself, likely for Liyue's sake.
"Huh? Here we go again!"
Lumine crossed her arms, slightly annoyed at the Raiden Shogun.
"You really have a keen nose! We didn't even call you, and yet here you are!"
Lumine's complaint did not sway the Shogun. She merely said:
"Variable. Leave Inazuma. Eternity must not be broken."
Rolling her eyes, Lumine muttered:
"This must be the Shogun. So rigid."
Then, standing tall, she said seriously:
"And what if I don't leave?"
The Raiden Shogun stared silently at Lumine. After a long moment, she slowly drew her long sword.
"Eternity must not be broken.
Any variable that threatens Eternity must be eliminated…"
Endless lightning gathered in the sky, forming a massive thunderblade.
Its brilliance lit up the dark island beneath the storm clouds.
The Dragon Riders instantly took to the sky, forming a battle formation to block Lumine.
Lumine's identity, Paimon's identity, and the history of these Dragon Riders in the MC world were all clear.
She was a good friend of their Archon, Ningguang's adopted sister, and Ryen's friend.
Especially Paimon, Ryen's favorite flying companion.
If anything happened to them, the Dragon Riders would have to be replaced.
Xiao's flowing wind condensed in his hands, forming a long spear.
"The Traveler is Liyue's friend. To strike the Traveler is to provoke Liyue. Beelzebul, do you insist on this?"
Kujou Sara panicked. The wings of the Tengu suddenly appeared behind her as she flew to the Raiden Shogun.
"Almighty Shogun! You cannot strike!"
"Almighty Shogun, if you strike, there will be no chance to mend relations with Liyue."
"To attack them now, the Geo Archon himself will lead troops here! Even for the sake of Eternity, this cannot be allowed!"
The Raiden Shogun remained unmoved.
Her operational logic seemed to have undergone some new change.
Slowly raising her naginata, Kujou Sara faced the overwhelming divine presence and was immediately pressed to the ground.
"Eternity must not be defied!"
Xiao furrowed his brows and said in a deep voice:
"Form the battle array!"
No sooner had he spoken than a hundred dragons, controlled by the Dragon Riders, took position at the front. Streams of various elemental energy gathered in their mouths, preparing their dragon breaths.
The Dragon Guards also consumed their alchemical potions and drew their top-tier enchanted fire bows and ice-snow bows.
Another hundred Dragon Guards surrounded Lumine and the others, all of their mounted heavy weapons spinning into readiness.
Some on the dragons carried sniper rifles; others held machine guns.
A few even hoisted RPGs on their shoulders, aiming carefully.
The thick aura of lethal threat made Kujou Sara's pupils contract.
Whether it was the Raiden Shogun's next move or the Dragon Riders' impending attack, Kujou Sara knew that the Isle could not withstand it.
If a battle broke out, the Island would quickly become a hell on earth.
Even so, the condensed might of the dragons and divine authority made it impossible for Kujou Sara to raise her head to speak.
She could only half-kneel and issue commands with difficulty:
"Hurry… evacuate the civilians!"
"Get off the Island!"
Though she spoke, the Shogunate soldiers heard her, yet in this situation, they were frozen in place.
Seeing the tension of the impending battle grow thicker, Kujou Sara closed her eyes in despair.
She was not afraid of death. Ever since becoming the esteemed General of the Kujou, swearing loyalty to the Raiden Shogun, she had set aside thoughts of her own life.
But…
The people of Inazuma on the island were innocent…
They had already suffered so much. Why should they continue to be tormented?
For the first time, Kujou Sara looked up at the Raiden Shogun with doubt:
"Almighty Shogun, is this kind of Eternity truly right?"
Closing her eyes, Kujou Sara prepared to face the inevitable.
Suddenly, a faint but exceedingly gentle bolt of lightning cut through, covering everyone.
From deep within, Kujou Sara felt a small measure of comfort.
"That's enough!"
"Ei! Come out!"
A voice full of intense anger rang out, and immediately, all the lightning in the sky vanished.
Kujou Sara froze, looking up in shock.
"Two… two Almighty Shoguns?!"
