They fought with random stunts and skills that were becoming a little lethal for a small space of their private booth. None of them was backing down, and Vincencio tried to stop them until he smelled it. He roared furiously, catching Fredric's attention and flattered a little, making an opening for Skylar. Skylar was about to give her final and dangerous blow while Fredric got ready on his feet, but Vincencio had had enough.
"Enough, Wifey. Don't forget you're not moving alone anymore. You're carrying our first." With a soft but firm voice, Vincencio whispered, standing tall in front of his wife. Skylar was fuming, but sensing his sincerity and calmness, she took it in before sighing, but her glare never left her brother's.
"Be thankful that I'm carrying your niece or nephew and Vincencio is here, or else, I might end up losing both," Skylar warned, glaring at Fredric, who raised both of his hands in surrender but then smirked.
"So, you're pregnant?" Fredric wanted to clarify it, but Skylar didn't give him any answer except Vincencio's grin. "Congrats, but remove that smug look on your face, Vince, before I do it myself."
"Okay, but do tell us why my wife shouldn't surface?" Vincencio changed the subject, wondering what he had mentioned earlier.
"You already know the answer, so don't bother asking." Fredric sighed as he sat on the couch across the couple, pouring whiskey into his glass before looking at them and adding, "You know who has been tailing me lately and sabotaging my legal projects in the city, particularly with your company, making me move lower than before."
"He's pushing you to show us your dark side of the coin." Skylar pointed out before adding, "You grew weaker."
"If you're thinking about my vampire side, it hasn't, but when it comes to human language, perhaps you're right. I'm tired of dealing with annoying pests like him, but…" He responded calmly, but there was lethal firmness beneath his tone, making Skylar's eyes narrow curiously. Then he added, "I know what he has been trying and I've been waiting for him to do so."
"You should at least tell me about this one. I can help you, and you know that." She firmly said, sighing at her brother's stubbornness.
"And put you in early danger that you weren't even ready to face? No. Never, little one." With a little scoff, Fredric seriously said before adding a reminder, "It's my job, and don't interfere or else everything they had done for you will be…"
"It won't be anything when we're already here." She coldly responded, making Vincencio grin proudly before she continued, "I'm not letting anything ruin it because of that pest. I'll burn everything for my family before he does."
"Finally, my baby sister is fully changed and awakened." Fredric grinned darker but prouder at what Skylar turned into. She's stronger, fiercer, and deadlier than the last time they fought during her military service. "But, I still have to play my role till he comes."
"Why bother doing that? I'm here now…" She said, but Fredric raised his hand, stopping his sister from speaking more.
"My role is not only to mold you into a fighter that you should be. My deepest role is to prepare the way for you to him. I have to be the bad guy in your life so he won't suspect your connection to our mother because when he does, he'll not only come to get you but your child now that you're pregnant." He explained seriously, making Skylar tighten her grip on her wine.
"Then I have more rights to end him." She slightly growled, making Vincencio take away the glass before she could break it.
"No, not yet, at least, little one." He quickly said, shaking his head before continuing with a reason, "He didn't just escape the vampire council's prison without backup plans, and when I said plans, he got plenty after our mother rejected his obsessive courtship and married our father."
"Fine, if you're insisting that…" She sighed, nodding in understanding before warning him, "You'd better be prepared to be punished."
"Bring it on." He grinned, challenging her like before, and wondered about her plan. "So, tell me, little one, what's the idea you had in mind?"
"First, stop calling me little one. I'm married and pregnant." She demanded, making him chuckle, but he nodded.
"Consider it done." He grinned smugly.
"Good. Now that you're planning to play your villain role more to lure him in, then I'm in, but to do that…you need to fall. Only through your defeat, he'll bite your traps." She shared but went carefully as soon as she sensed an unfamiliar presence close to their booth, eavesdropping, making her whisper lowly. "Hm, play it cool, somebody eavesdropping."
"I'll guard the door," Vincencio whispered back and attempted to head to the door, but Skylar stopped him.
"No need for that, Hubby. Just play innocent husband beside me." She grinned, making Fredric chuckle.
"You two are growing dangerous together." He commented on the couple's bond.
"Well, we could kill for the sake of our peaceful life together." Vincencio proudly stated, and Fredric loved that.
"Very well then, let's get this done." He grinned, but it turned dark. "So, back to the topic, what made you think of that?"
"He's already against you by sabotaging your businesses, projects, and only for you to use your dark side. To which I think you have to take that as an opportunity to lure him in. When he thinks you have already fallen, he'll come to you and bite your head off, which is perfect for you too." She said loud and clear, making sure that whoever was listening to their conversation would hear them but not her hidden message. "We'll do that game, and if he goes and tries something else, I'll be the one who'll deal with him."
"That's nice, I'll put it into consideration. Thanks." He replied in consideration of the plan.
"Anytime." She grinned when they felt the eavesdroppers leave the shadow. "That's interesting."
"So, how are you going to deal with it in case he did try something?" He curiously wondered, making her sigh, but the grin on her lips was sinister.
"Don't worry, I'll handle it. We'll do something that he won't even see coming." She replied with firmness, like she already had a plan for it before adding with a wink, "Like you said earlier, prepare the way for me."
"Alright, done." Fredric laughed amusingly because his sister awakened into a promising family head like their mother.
"Another thing, we'll move after my pregnancy." She quickly added as she put her pregnancy situation into consideration.
"Sure, I'll make sure to hold him in his position." He grinned in understanding. He also wanted his niece or nephew to be safe.
"No, that's okay. We'll get things for later." She sinisterly said, making Fredric shiver before she continued, "Let's watch what he'll do now that he's facing the heads of the Saison-Rusco family."
"Do I have a role to play in this game, too?" Vincencio interjected, making Skylar think deeply before he mischievously grinned.
"Hm, my protective and possessive husband." She suggested, and he pouted.
"That's nothing new." He whined.
"Exactly." She chuckled.
"Unfair." He refuted, still whining, making her cup his face gently.
"Just move like this, usually, and when the night comes, handle both on my behalf." She said firmly, commanding what he could do when their plan began moving. Vincencio stared deeply into her eyes before sighing.
"I see, anything for my Luna?" He replied, understanding her request.
"Are you sure she's the Luna, not the alpha?" Fredric interjected, cutting their sweet moment.
"Oh, right. You're right about that. She's a better alpha than I am." Vincencio realized and agreed teasingly, making Skylar frown.
"Shut up, you can be the alpha whenever you feel like being one, which I am the same." She corrected him.
"You're making me miss my wife when you sounded like that." He chuckled before relaxing his body on the couch. He was relieved now that she was fully back and ready to take what belonged to her.
"Well, I can do it if I want to, and maybe even worse." She said, finishing their conversation by standing up before adding, "Sent Medina everything you know about him, I'll get things done before I give birth."
"Don't pressure yourself. You're in your first trimester, take it easy and lean on those people you trust to handle the rest for you. Especially, your husband." Fredric seriously reminded his sister before leaving the booth without saying anything anymore.

When the couple headed home, they could feel some eyes kept watching their tracks until Vincencio wrapped his arms possessively and protectively around his wife. Both knew that it was the same eavesdroppers from earlier, but could not tell what they were because Vincencio was cloaking their scents with an innocent, charming façade.
"Who would have thought you're charming side would cloak us now?" Skylar telepathically teased her husband as they got inside the cab.
'Well, Vin has been protective ever since he smelled his pup growing inside of you.'
"Can you please stop calling it a pup? It made me think that I'll give birth to a dog." She sighed but playfully hit his chest, giggling.
'Hahaha, don't worry, it won't happen.'
As the couple finally arrived home, they were greeted warmly with the addition to their family before retiring for the night. However, the couple's night won't end without talking to each other.
"Hubby, how did they know that I'm pregnant?" Skylar asked, sitting against her desk, doing her night routine. However, it was not applying lotion or anything to do with beauty sleep; she was cleaning her blades and selecting guns on her desk.
"Our pack could sense it and would realize it once they smell it from you," Vincencio answered with a giggle, recalling the moment they were warmly greeted by joy.
"Do you think Medina and the rest would sense it too?" She carefully wondered since her team wasn't all-night creatures.
"Hm, they could if they had a deep connection with you. They could feel strange things around you, like how they could discover the changes in you even if you don't say anything about it." He replied, watching his wife before asking, "Wifey, how come you can easily clean your blades and guns without being clumsy about it?"
"And you're asking because?" Skylar refused to challenge him because his question was something she was not good at.
"Well, you almost brought down our house in fire or flood before, so I'm just innocently curious about how you handled your weapons without messing them up." With a hidden tease, Vincencio innocently asked, but Skylar heard it.
"Hubby, I know you sounded innocent, but I can tell you're teasing." She grinned darkly as she finished her cleaning before adding daringly, making Vincencio gulp. "And it seems to me you want to be punished."
And that night, Vincencio received his punishment by being in her bottom, tied, and controlled, making him submit only to his wife. No alpha could submit to anyone without a fight, but with his wife, his Luna, he could surrender every fiber of his being, and Skylar loves it to the core. She made sure Vincencio tasted her, making him addicted and obsessed with her, awakening their beasts inside, trashing their room until they collapsed in each other's arms.
"Wifey, how long have you known that he's your brother?" He wondered, caressing Skylar's back delicately.
"Well, long enough to make my suspicion click as soon as we made contact." Skylar answered, still resting on his chest, before adding, "And if you're going to ask since when, it started during our first business deals through phone calls and a few meetings. I had been feeling the strange brotherly bond with him even since, making me recall all the odd familiarity by the way he supported me around the business, the way he spoke to me, and somehow his presence connected to the mysterious dreams about my hazy memory when I was little."
"Did you know that he's the mafia you're dealing with when you're still in the service?" He added another curious question.
"Pretty much. He annoyed me when I was little, and even up to now, he tries me like a baby." She sighed with annoyance, but she leaned on his chest, checking his expression before asking, "Why are you asking me that after we made love?"
"Well, I didn't bother to ask earlier when you two met, and I don't want something bothering my mind." He honestly replied, making her nod before grinning and adding a tease, "Also, I still can't believe that I married a clever sugar wifey."
"Shut up." She playfully refuted as she slapped his chest lightly before adding, "I still don't like it when you call me like that."
They rested for the night, letting darkness brew in the city even more.
