Skylar was still the same intimidating, cool CEO of her company who had been working tirelessly and handling matters that could not be done without her help. However, Vincencio, on the other hand, made sure that his wife was on track and not stressing herself with workloads by leaving sweet-caring notes or flooding her with missed calls.
'Wifey, don't skip meals or I'll feed you myself regardless if I'm swamped or not.'
'Wifey, are you okay? You're not picking up my calls. I'm worried.'
'Wifey, Medina told me you had three three-hour meetings after lunch, so I prepared healthy snacks for you to have during the meeting hours.'
'Wifey, text me where to pick you up if ever you have a meeting outside the company. I'll ditch work for you and our child.'
'Wifey, we haven't met or talked to each other around the company. I miss you already.'
"Sweet but damn, he's more a wife material than you were." Medina teasingly commented after reading Vincencio's note for his wife.
"I know, but that's us." Skylar smugly replied, smirking at her husband's notes before checking another.
'Boss Wifey, I left the file report from the SaiRus Corps project design updates. Check it. I hope to hear from you soon. PS. Team Design C and E are having a slight setback around their designs due to the limited budget for the materials, and the client desired an ECO and budget-friendly quotation for it before proceeding with printing.'
Skylar has been in a good mood reading her husband's notes and is even eager to respond to them. However, it quickly went sour when her eyes landed and read the last but teasing note from him, making her stop writing back and begin glaring as if the note would start burning. She knew it was delivered teasingly, but she was jealous and furious about what it held, and her pregnancy, making her emotions haywire.
'Wifey, why do they keep flirting with me despite knowing I'm married to my sugar CEO?'
"Somebody what?" With a frown, Skylar finally reacted to the last note left by her sweet husband, making Medina smirk.
"Finally, a reaction." Medina teased as she grabbed the crumpled papers on the desk, where Skylar tried to refer to his notes.
"Have you read this one? Who dared to flirt with my husband, knowing he was married to me?" She demanded, growling possessively at her secretary before throwing the note at her.
"Perhaps, the newbies," Medina answered amusingly after reading the note.
"Dammit. Make sure to inform HR that every newly hired personnel should know about my marriage to my husband, or else, I won't hesitate to fire them on the spot." She firmly commanded, making Medina jolt before she added, "Are we clear on that, Medina?"
"Crystal, boss. Anything else?" she nodded as she wondered, making Skylar sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose, calming herself down.
"Bring my husband to me now, and move the meeting a little late due to my paternal check-up." She requested softly, making her secretary nod.
"Okay, but does it mean you're ready for them to know your pregnancy?" Medina wondered carefully, catching her boss's attention.
"On second thought, come up with something else regarding that matter. I have to hear my husband's and doctor's opinion first before we can use that as an excuse." She decided calmly, and Medina noted.
"Okay, so, do you still want to have a late meeting?" she carefully asked, and Skylar sighed.
"No, I'll have it in a few minutes late." She replied before groaning her need. "Just get my husband now. I need him here."
"Okay, boss." Medina respectfully replied and headed out of the office to call for Vincencio urgently.

The couple went to the hospital to meet with her vampire aunt, Dr. Aletia Eztli Monsour, to check her baby. From what they heard, their baby was doing fine, but still demanded that Skylar not push herself to her limit for the moment. It upset her not being able to do her usual hunting. However, she wanted to be the mother of Vincencio's children.
After their paternal checkup, they had a little date around the city, including visiting her hotels. Then, heading back to the company. But Vincencio insisted that she rest at the penthouse because the last meeting she had to attend was with a mysterious businessman in town, and from what Vincencio had sensed, it was him.
"Irina, cloaked your mother's scent and be sure she doesn't leave the penthouse without you." Vincencio firmly commanded, making Skylar adorably pout as she sat by the kitchen stool.
"Yes, Dad." Irina grinned, nodding before teasing her mother, "You heard that, Mom, and you stuck with me for this afternoon."
"Hubby, be sure not to get caught." Skylar reminded herself as she began munching on the stored cookies that she had grown to love.
"Well, I won't be the MG boss if I'm not good at it." He grinned and kissed her head before heading back to the office, but he hugged Irina first and left.
"Let's watch everything." Skylar grinned, heading to the couch, followed by Irina with a jar of her homemade cookies, and joined her mother.

As they watched the screen, the meeting was held in a conference room where Skylar noticed Irina suddenly flinched when the camera panned and captured the mysterious man entering the room. He sat on a chair as if he owned the place.
"Now, I understand why Dad didn't like your last meeting, Mom," Irina commented, glaring at the mysterious man with an arrogant façade steaming out from his body. "He's the vampire nomad you're looking for."
"Hm, I can see that, but why is he doing it here?" Skylar wondered, despite having a gut feeling that it had something to do with her brother Fredric.
"Maybe it's about your partnership with the SaiRus Corps." She guessed, shrugging her shoulders, but their eyes were glued to the screen.
As their guests finally filled the meeting area, Vincencio finally waltzed in with a different aura. Skylar shivered, smirking with desire as soon as she saw how intimidating and dangerous her husband could be. He wore a sophisticated suit, matching hers, and, by the way, Vincencio stood tall without care, being unreadable and unreachable, caught their guests' attention. Then he speaks.
'On behalf of my wife, as her husband, I would like to apologize first because she could not attend the meeting personally at the moment and requested that I stand in her position so the meeting would proceed.'
'There will be no meeting if she's not –'
'Well, if you won't proceed, then it's fine, we have nothing to lose. You're here because you're seeking our company's help.'
"Wow, that's cool, Dad." Irinia chuckled before taking another bite from her home-cooked cookies.
"Indeed, he is," Skylar smirked proudly, watching how Vincencio handled the meeting with control.
'We would like to speak with the CEO and not her stand-in.'
'What I hear and speak with you is something she'll hear as well later. But if you're insisting on speaking with her personally, then on her behalf, let's end this conversation and stop wasting our time.'
'You don't -!'
'I have full rights to decide on behalf of my wife, and if you're not accepting my response, then why are you even here in the first place?'
"Oh, that shut them up." Irina chuckled.
'You see, my wife and I choose who to collaborate with and from the likes of it, I don't see anything wrong with proceeding with this meeting if you're not willing to talk to the man, her husband, she appointed to speak with you? So, do you still want to talk about your proposal or not? Because if you don't want to talk it with me, then you're free to leave.'
"Damn, Dad truly has it in him." Irina amusingly commented, praising Vincencio's firm authority in front of their potential client, who seems only to want to check on Skylar in person.
"I know. He bites." Skylar agreed proudly.
The mysterious man carefully studied Vincencio before standing up, glaring. But before he completely left the room, he went closer to Vincencio.
'I know she's here, and I will get her before that little boy Fredric could. So back off, pup.'
'A young pup can't be controlled, but if that's the case, you're here and not business, then you're late. She already goes and meets him for an urgent business collaboration project before this so-called meeting takes place.'
'YOU!'
'It's you who asks for a meeting with a CEO. You should know that my wife is a busy person, so expect her priorities to be her business partners first before you. Isn't that the reason why you want her by your side to have the same privilege they had?'
"So that's his truth. He wants to get the upper hand if he and Fredric start classing." Skylar mumbled, but clear enough for Irina to nod.
'You may leave.'
With that firm and cold voice from Vincencio, the mysterious man glared before leaving the company's premises. As soon as they left, Skylar quickly dropped a message to her brother, a notification.
Text Messages:
Rose Slayer: He came here. Luckily, Vincencio sensed him.
Boss Rico: On the watch.
Just a few minutes after Skylar put down her phone, Vincencio grumpily sighed and lay on the couch, making Irina chuckle and leaving her parents in the living space. Skylar watched him carefully before flicking his temple.
"You still had some night shift." Skylar gently reminded him, making him sit up straight and peck her lips.
"And you?" Vincencio wondered.
"I'll monitor in the house, making plans against him." She answered, but there was something else she wanted before doing that.
"Are you still going to play victim?" He wondered carefully before gently caressing her flat stomach, feeling their baby's presence.
"Yes, but for the last time, can I hunt one of the biggest fish I need to end?" She hoped, making Vincencio frown.
"Tell me about it, then I'll decide." He coldly said.
"I can't, but you can watch." She grinned, eager to hunt for the last time.
They had a few moments of staring, and the more Vincencio looked at Skylar's hopeful and ecstatic gaze, the more he gave up.
"Fine, tell Joey, I'll drive you." He said, but still demanded to be with her, and she loves it.
"Thanks, Hubby." She thanked him and kissed his lips deeply before heading to the bedroom to get ready, shouting, "My hands were itchy."
'Never gets old.'
"I know, and you love it," Skylar replied to his telepathic message while she was dressing up in her hunting gear.

The night was cold, and the clouds turned darker as the couple's old Mustang car parked in a small open parking space before walking down the street like a love-struck teenager on a date night. However, they were not in the city to have a date but to watch a certain group who enjoyed their moment at the casino, ruling the poker table. They were challenging and defeating anyone who came to their table, even the casino owner, who started to dislike them. But they can't get rid of them because of these Wakos; they managed to lure customers to be their challengers; however, they were being too much, and they were becoming a nuisance in the casino.
'Wifey, is that your target, the Wakos?'
"Yep, and they had been ruling that poker table ever since they won billions here," Skylar answered through their telepathy while they walked around the slots, eyeing the poker area across them.
'What should we do to the likes of them?'
"Don't worry, I play games – lethal games." She smirked dangerously as they played a little with the slots, which they were lucky with, as they won.
Everyone who was playing at the slots clapped their hands, which they were politely acknowledged, but Skylar, on the other hand, saw a glimpse of a familiar man passing by and gave her a nod. It was a cue for Skylar when she heard her husband's thoughts.
'Then shall we challenge them?'
"Sure, but first, let's get something from the owner." She said after they were assisted with their price.
'How?'
"Just follow my lead." She responded and talked to the guards while walking with them. "Can I speak with Mr. Edrico? There's something I would like to discuss with him?"
"Sorry, lady, the boss is a busy man." The guard answered firmly, guarded, but Skylar didn't like that response and became dangerous.
"As I am too." With coldness and threat in her tone, she responded, making the guards get wary of her before adding, "Tell him it's, RS."
