Honestly speaking, he didn't really have a plan when he left. As easy as it probably would have been for him to defeat the Chosen of a lower-ranked Demon, if what Ayame and the old man said was true, then he could probably defeat the Chosen of a Demon Viscount at best in his current state?
At least, that was his guess. There was no way for him to be certain until he actually asked them.
