294 THE BOND BETWEEN WIVES
As they moved deeper into the vault, silent shadows flickered along the walls. The assassins of the Temple of Hera passed within mere steps of them, their dark cloaks billowing in the dim light.
Yet, they remained blissfully unaware of the two intruders.
The cloaking cloak they wore, once a mere tool of camouflage, had been transformed.
Inspired by Yun-Yun's spell of invisibility, Leo reprogrammed them, changing their characteristics and structures. It had become a true mantle of concealment- a real cloak of invisibility.
"They really can't see us at all," Yun-Yun whispered, her tone tinged with a mix of amazement and amusement.
Leo nodded, a faint smile curving his lips. "I refined the cloaking cloak after you taught me the spell of invisibility. I've merged the codes of invisibility into the concealment of the cloak. Now it's more than just an illusion—it's perfect invisibility."
The synergy between them was undeniable.
With the advancements granted by the third stage of the Giga Codex, Yun-Yun's intricate spells had taken on new dimensions.
These spells, once translated into precise software codes by Leo, became powerful tools that neither could be wielded alone but together made them unstoppable.
Their abilities didn't merely complement each other, they amplified each other, weaving a seamless partnership of magic and technology.

"Why are we even stuck here, playing nursemaid to these worthless prisoners, while Godmother is out battling the demon army?" Jessira's voice carried a sharp edge of irritation, her leather-clad form pacing the dimly lit chamber.
She was one of the elite assassins of the Temple, now relegated to the mundane duty of guard.
"The Emperor couldn't afford to take many with him," her companion replied coolly. "A sneak attack against the demon army's camp requires precision and secrecy. Only the Emperor and the Godmother can pull it off. There is no place for you and I."
Their conversation trailed off as they approached the prisoner chained to the cold stone wall.
She was bound by intricate magical chains that suppressed her powers, her form emaciated from days of neglect and torture. Yet her eyes burned with an unyielding defiance.
"And why is Godmother wasting her time keeping this traitor bitch alive?" Jessira sneered, shoving a crust of stale bread at the prisoner's face.
"It's a waste of our time too."
The prisoner spat the bread onto the floor, her gaze never leaving Jessira's, a flicker of contempt dancing in her hollow eyes.
Jessira's companion moved instantly, her hand arcing toward the prisoner in a slap meant to leave more than a mark.
But before her strike connected, something unseen grasped her wrist mid-air.
She froze, her body trembling as an unseen force began to drain her essence. Within seconds, she crumpled to the ground, her once vibrant form withered and lifeless.
"Touch of Consummation."
"What's happening?!" Jessira screamed, her voice breaking as she instinctively drew her blade.
But before she could act, a chain of radiant energy coiled around her, locking her in place and suppressing her magic.
Two figures emerged from the shadows as their cloaking enchantment melted away. They were Leo and Yun-Yun, their expressions dark and resolute.
"Leo... it's about fucking time," the prisoner rasped, her voice weak but unmistakable.
It was Petunia, her body battered and gaunt from days of torment.
"We came here as soon as I obtained the memories from my shadow minion", Leo replied.
Yun-Yun moved swiftly, kneeling by Petunia's side to administer a healing potion while Leo focused on unraveling the chains of magic that bound her. The energy dissipated with a sharp crackle, and Petunia slumped forward, free at last but still frail.
"How did you break these chains so easily?" Petunia asked in surprise. The chains were custom made by Godmother and was virtually unbreakable.
"My coding got an upgrade", he replied.
"Where is Sujira?" Yun-Yun asked her voice low but tense.
Petunia's head drooped, her silence heavy with regret. Tears welled in her eyes but refused to fall.
"Tell us," Leo pressed, his tone rising with urgency.
Before she could respond, a voice cut through the chamber like a blade. "That traitorous whore Sujira betrayed Godmother. There is only one punishment for treachery—death," Jessira told them with scorn.
"I'll kill you…"
In the blink of an eye, Leo was upon Jessira.
His hand clamped angrily around her neck like an iron vice, and a dark, searing energy pulsing from his fingertips.
Jessira's scream pierced the chamber, raw and guttural, as her essence was ripped from her body. Her flesh seemed to wither and collapse inward, her vitality devoured in an instant.
When Leo finally released her, what remained was a husk—haggard skin stretched taut over brittle bones. She crumpled to the floor, lifeless, consumed by his wrath.
The air hung heavy with the stench of death and the lingering echoes of Jessira's screams.
Petunia, still weakened, steadied herself against the wall, her eyes fixed on Leo. "We should have kept her and asked her about Sujira," she suggested.
"Don't worry, we can get her mouth open easier in the Jade Throne", he replied.
Once Leo consummates his victim, their soul was taken by his Jade Throne. Inside the Jade Throne, their soul had no chance to keep secrets.
"What do we do now?" Petunia asked, her voice trembling but resolute.
Leo turned, his expression shadowed with rage and determination. "We get our revenge," he said, each word carrying the weight of unrelenting vengeance.
"Wait," Yun-Yun said suddenly, her voice cutting through the tense silence.
Leo stopped mid-stride, turning to her with a furrowed brow. "What is it?" he asked, the weight of his earlier fury still lingering in his tone.
"It's Sujira," Yun-Yun replied, her eyes narrowing as she focused inward. "She's still alive—I can feel her magic resonating with mine."
"How… can you sense souls now?" Petunia asked.
Yun-Yun's words carried a certainty that couldn't be questioned.
The magical bond between Yun-Yun and Leo's wives was not merely symbolic or ceremonial. When Yun-Yun bound Petunia and Sujira to Leo as subordinate wives, it was more than a gesture; it was a pact forged through ancient magic.
That bond created an unbreakable connection, a tether of power that allowed Yun-Yun to sense their essence.
