This is the end of BAREFACED. I thank everyone for reading through this and giving me the opportunity to share my story with you. I appreciate those who stayed around, even if you don't interact with my story and read my story quietly, I appreciate you just as much.
Though BAREFACED has come to an end this doesn't mean this story is over. As you saw in the last chapter you are able to choose from four options. Each option will have its own ending and you can choose from one of them, giving yourself, the reader an ending for this story. You can read all the stories all at once or one at a time. You can also read all of them or only one, it's all completely up to you. I RECCOMMEND choosing one story at a time to give a better experience, and to keep it from getting super confusing.
To explain more about the options, I will describe this here ↓↓↓
Option A: The title to this story is called REMORSE. This story will take place before Toman was founded. Yuki will go through a process of trying to form Toman, save her mother, and save Takemichi. If this is the choice you choose, then Remorse will be the story you read.
Option B: The title to this story is called REMORSEFUL. This story will take place during the Three Deities Arc. Yuki will return back to Tokyo after a year of being away. She comes faced with a bunch of new challenges and new faces. If this is the choice you choose, then Remorseful will be the story you read.
Option C: The title to this story is called REMORSELESS. This story will take place during the Bonten Arc. Yuki will return back to Tokyo after ten years of being away. After breaking promises and breaking trust, she comes face to face with a bunch of conflicts, including Bonten themselves. If this is the choice you choose, then Remorseless will be the story you read.
Option D: This option will be a single chapter at the end of BAREFACED labeled Option D. This will be returning back to your original self (Y/N). If this is the choice you choose, then you may read Option D at the end of this book.
FUN FACTS AND QUESTIONS/ANSWERS:
1 - Yes, I created Yuki, do I like her? No- Though I made her the way I did for the plot. :')
2 - Draken was originally going to be a love interest when I first started on this story, but I ended up changing it by making him one in the sequels.
3 - I wasn't going to make sequels to begin with. The ideas popped up when I had a hard time thinking of a way for this story to end. My mind kept hopping from one place to another but then I realized that it would be better for me to make sequels giving you all the chance to choose how this story ends. That way I could write all possible endings and be satisfied. Same as all of you who may want a certain love interest in the end, a certain arc to appear, certain characters, or even certain themes. Also, I liked that idea too... sounds fun :)
4 - There has been times where I either wanted to quit or give up. Not because of the lack of engagement. (I don't write for clicks, likes, or a following. Even if it was only one person that was reading this story; it makes me extremely happy.) Specifically, it was life in general. I can say 2024 wasn't my strong suit and that's where my uploading lacked a lot. I had the thoughts and the ideas for this story but the stuff I was dealing with kind of ruined that. I didn't want to give up though, nor did I want to disappoint or leave everyone hanging. Life is hard but I shall continue. You all don't deserve me up and leaving without finishing what I started (though I disappeared a lot and I apologize). You put the time and effort to read my story; I shall do the same and continue writing.
5 - I recognize and remember a handful of people who has engaged with this story, whether it's just voting on a chapter or commenting. There would be times I actually waited for specific people to read or comment. I get pretty excited reading comments after uploading a chapter. It's the reason why I enjoy writing, to see your expression on it.
6 - This is my first story I wrote, so everything may have been bookie. I sometimes get nervous that my story was just a hot mess or all over the place because I really wasn't prepared or ready to write a story. I originally was going to jump into writing original stories but I wanted to test my skill on a fanfiction. Kinda like testing the waters and seeing if I am worthy of doing so. Do you think I did good for my first?
7 - I don't exactly like this story as much as you may think (or you may have never thought this). I love Tokyo Revengers (Never watched the anime... only read the manga and the first movie...) It was the first manga I actually stuck to from start to finish. Even so, this story I wrote; BAREFACED isn't exactly something I would call awesome. I sometimes feel like this story is garbage floating on dog water. And no this isn't judgement to you all or the story itself, I sometimes feel like my writing lacks a lot.
8 - I never expected this story to reach the number of views it did. I don't have much to say to that other than thank you.
9 - I have gotten a lot of comments on specific things like "Why call this a female reader story and then make it a female oc story?" To me it's still a female reader story. The question being why is this story not a female reader story to you? Not judging you or saying you're stupid just genuinely curious. When someone says a readers pov story to me, I would expect the story to be written in second person... Even when the main character has blue eyes and blond hair (I have neither). A better question is, if you were to wake up in someone else's body, in a world that's in a way different from the one we are in now, would you still be you? I mean I think I would be me... just in someone else's body. That's why I labeled it a female reader story. You, the reader woke up in someone else's body. Now you the reader should play the part as someone else. (Don't take my words too harshly or serious...)
9.5 - To add on to the last thing I said, I'd like to give advice... and this isn't to be mean or petty so take this lightly. I don't recommend (no matter what the story is about or who made it) the y/n or main character to be exactly you. You will disappoint yourself more when reading stories like that. People don't write stories to fit your needs. I personally don't know any of you. I care about you all, yes, but I don't know how you think. So, when writing a y/n or reader pov story, I have to ideally think of how this y/n may act. Not exactly their looks but their personality. Not every story with the y/n or readers pov perspective will suit your style, which is why I don't recommend reading these things imagining it to be you. It will upset you more. Like shit- if I was reading this story imagining myself as the y/n in this story I would get irritated really fast. (Again... Yuki pisses me off). If stories like this were to fit everyone's needs, y/n would either feel absent or like a hollow husk. You don't want that so please take stories like this lightly. If you want something that fits your needs you might find it easier to write a story of your own. (Just an opinion/advice... don't take my words too seriously)
10 - I am going to be so absolutely honest... and it might be only me who may think this way but WRITING A FANFIC IS ACTUALLY FUCKING DIFFICULT! I don't know if it's because I don't own the characters or the plot but having to write; making sure that the characters actually stay in character (this was a pain in the ass to study and write) and then changing things up so that a new character can fit into the story was a pain in the ass. I can't exactly understand how people can say "Writing fanfics is lightwork". I find writing an original story a lot easier than this. Why? Well, I own the characters in an original story, meaning I made up their background and personalities. It would also mean I created the plot and everything else that comes with it. But when it comes to a fanfic, it's not simple. I don't know every single detail that was most likely not shared when it comes to these characters. Writing fanfics feels like an intense work out. And what's worse when it comes to writing these things is the disputes and the negative judgement coming from those who see or may read it. "This isn't my Mikey." "This isn't how I act." "That's not how they act." Understand this is a fanfiction... and I'm saying this when it comes to any and EVERY fanfic... It's a fanfiction. The creator of that fanfiction can write and do as they please. Let them enjoy it and let others enjoy it. Don't be mean or hateful. If you don't like the story, then drop it.
11 - This was also originally going to be a reversed harem fanfic. HAHA OH MY GAH... I don't know how to write one. Morally it feels so wrong to have multiple love interests, so I didn't understand the concept. I do intend on using this in the future though *cough cough* Experimenting it on a Twisted Wonderland and Jujutsu Kaisen fanfic *cough cough*. I'm sorry if that's what you may have wanted (the reversed harem in this story) ... :( ... so I had to change it to being multiple love interests and ending it with a single partner.
12 - In the sequels (Option A, B, and C) you will end up with a different partner in each. Depending on which one you chose will determine your outcome or who you'll end up with. So... it won't always be Mikey if you may have thought that might be the case.
13 - Another thing I want to mention and put out here. I know this story didn't go down the same path as the actual story line in Tokyo Revengers. I didn't intend on making it the same. I wrote it this way for the plot. "Where is Takemichi?" "Why did Baji not die but Kazutora did?" " Why this...?" "Why that...?" This is, again a fanfiction. There are many things that will be different when reading one. There has been times I looked up a Miraculous fanfiction on here and saw a love ship with Marinette/Lady Bug and Bakugo. In my mind I was like "What the actual fuck." I've also found ones with Deku in Harry Potter... and in this fandom; Tokyo Revengers, I found ones with Draken x Mikey, or Baji x Chifuyu... even one with Deku in the story of Tokyo Revengers (I kidd you not... It's always Deku in someone else's world. I find this amusing.) What I'm trying to say is that it's a fanfic. That's just how they are. I'm not speaking out for myself but every fanfiction or fanfic writer out there. If every fanfic followed the same path (one being the story itself) you would end up with a bunch of the same things... which is honestly horrific. I like the creativity and the differences when it comes to them. I'm not saying this to save my ass because I don't care much on the negativity... nor am I going to be a people pleaser. Negative comments tend to make me want to write more. If someone is hating then I'm doing something right, that's how I see it. I'm mainly saying this as to give others a break and be mindful. Not everyone thinks like I do. And if you understand this already then this comment wasn't directed towards you, mainly for the ones who either have nothing nice to say or thinks that things should follow their own rules. If the story doesn't float your boat then don't read it, nor comment.
14 - And lastly, I am human. I say and do human things. I wrote this story out of experimental reasons and for fun. I have made mistakes. I had to edit a lot of things, and my story isn't perfect. I go through daily life things, and I also feel things too. I write these stories. I worked hard on everything I wrote. I did these things alone with no help. I am human, not a machine or a robot. There will be mess ups and days I wouldn't upload. Life happens. View me as a human, a person, as you should do for anyone else. Writing these stories isn't a job. I don't get paid for this and nor do I want to. I do this because I enjoy it. I also do this for you as a reader. I take my time out of my day to write these stories and share them. As easily as I can share this with you, I can also take it away too. People have their limits. Be appreciative of others. I appreciate you, whether you dropped this story, read it, hated it, liked it, or just viewing the last chapter just because. You are human. I am human. We are human. (I hope) So be civil and considerate. Not just to me but to everyone.
15 - The reason why I even began to write in general was because of two special people I have met in my life. (This was my first story and the inspiration to continue making more stories.) Though I no longer talk to them anymore I appreciate everything they have done. I hope you both are well and doing great. Thank you both.
(DONT TAKE ANYTHING I SAID ABOVE THIS TOO SERIOUSLY. I only said all of this to vent and rant a bit; kind of like my experience and knowledge while I wrote this. I didn't say anything to attack anyone. I deeply care and appreciate everyone. Just wanted to share my feelings.)
To end off with that I want to say this if I already haven't; Thank you. You took the time to read my story, and I really appreciate it. I hope it wasn't too bad, and I do hope you enjoyed it. Whether you stay with me through this process as I write more or if you decide to leave, I appreciate it all. Though I do hope we meet again, this is bye for now. Thank you again, there's not a lot more words I can really say to you, but I am very grateful. Be safe my friends.
