Chapter 82 - Chapter Eighty-Two - Just Grab It

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

"What are you doing?"

In the dead of the night, a lone man beside a motorhome stood awake and was busy swinging the machete in his hand with precise strikes while picturing walkers and people attacking him in droves inside his head.

"Why.."

Horizontal slash!

He imagined decapitating a walker from its neck.

"Am I.."

Downward slash!

Followed by a powerful slash onto a walker's shoulder, decapitating it into two.

"Suddenly doing THIS?"

Thrust!

And finally driving the weapon into a walker's head through its mouth with it.

"Uhhmm.." Andrea woke up with a groan when she noticed that there's no one other than her on the bed. She slowly sat up before slowly realizing that there's a sound of something sharp slicing the air coming from outside. Curious, she slowly crawled down from the bed and into the living area where Rosita is peacefully sleeping on the convertible dinette. Andrea peeked through the window and saw Michael outside swinging his machete like those people in martial arts movies where they're drilling their strikes or techniques with repetitive actions.

'What is he doing in the dead of the night? Why is he practicing his swings like we're gonna face a walker who knows how to use one?' Andrea felt amused by such absurd thoughts in her mind and she let out a soft chuckle.

She came out of the vehicle and softly called out to Michael. "Hey babe, what are you doing in the middle of the night? Shouldn't you be sleeping?"

Swooshkk!

The moment she called out, Michael suddenly gripped the blade tightly and threw a powerful straight punch with the blade in his hand!

Michael breathed out before sheathing his blade and wiped his face with a towel. He turned to look at Andrea and answered. "Just working up a sweat. What about you? Did I wake you up?"

Andrea lightly shook her head and walked down the stairs and responded. "Not really. I just noticed you weren't beside me and decided to look for you. But why are you practicing your swings though? Killing a walker is not that complicated."

"It ain't complicated, but getting surrounded is. I need to be precise in my swings since even a second delay could prove fatal. Though, I'll need a better weapon than a machete if I want to cleanly slice through the bones of a walker."

"What about that blade called Kampilan you got before? Isn't it sharp enough?" Andrea got confused since she still remembers how sharp that weapon was in Michael's hands.

Michael shrugged his shoulders, took a sip of water from his flask before responding. "I'm giving it to you after this."

"Wait, really?" She was a little skeptical of his words. She saw first hand how he took good care of that weapon like it was his own child.

Michael smiled and gave her a kiss on her lips before walking past her. "Yeah, I think a bigger weapon is more suitable for me. Come on, let's head back inside. It's not safe out here."

Andrea suddenly smiled while watching him, and let out an amused snort at the end of his words. "Not safe? I'd be more worried about the ones that want to attack us."

She says that and for a moment, she stood there alone before realizing a second later that she's now alone outside. A shiver ran down her spine and she quickly followed him inside.

Not long after, the sound of the shower running softly drifted from the vehicle. It did not take long before the sound of flesh slapping against each other, and the muffled moans of someone softly leaked towards the surroundings.

"Hmmm…Hmmm.."

In the living area, Rosita was woken up from the sounds coming out of the bathroom and softly complained. "Seriously, these two just had to disturb someone's sleep in the middle of the night."

She says that, but now she could not go back to sleep since she's now feeling a little horny thanks to certain people.

'F*ck!'

The following day, Andrea is still deep in sleep. The same goes for Rosita who never got any sleep since she got woken up early in the morning and only managed to drift back to sleep after the couple were done with their workout.

They were slightly loud while working up a sweat.

It was a surprise that there weren't any walkers that got attracted by their noise last night.

On the other hand, though a little tired, Michael is still feeling energetic. All thanks to his improved physique that he was able to go for many rounds until both parties were satisfied.

After a short breakfast, Michael resumed their journey up north in their motorhome, but past half an hour later, he hears the sound of gunfire echoing somewhere in the distance.

'Must be a large group.' He thought as the sound of repeated gunfire continued going off in the distance.

'They must have encountered a large group of walkers, or people since no one would waste bullets like that.' Michael was just thinking those words when he quickly realized something.

'What the? Why is the sound getting closer?' Michael became serious and immediately got the motorhome to slow down before parking it onto the roadside.

'It's actually coming from ahead.'

The closer they got, the more Michael was convinced that a fight was currently underway on the road ahead of them.

Michael quickly got up from his seat and hastily moved to the back.

"Hey, Rosita. Wake up." Michael went over to Rosita and shook her while softly calling out to her name in a slightly raised tone.

"What? Did we arrive at camp already?" Rosita groggily woke up while rubbing her eyes.

"Not yet, but I need to go out for a moment and I want you to keep an eye on here while I'm out, alright?" Michael says that when his eyes suddenly got attracted by the valley between the mounds before him. He couldn't help it, it was just too conspicuous since Rosita had worn some really loose fitting with a low cut compared to what she usually wears.

Rosita noticed his eyes, while Michael quickly looked away. He got a little flustered and immediately made his way to the door.

His actions made Rosita furrow her eyebrow before her lips slightly curved upwards.

"If you want something, just grab it."

"What?"

Michael was about to step down the stairs when he heard Rosita muttering behind him.

"Nothing. Just go, I don't think those people will survive long." Rosita slightly shook her head and chuckled while also noticing the decrease rate of gunfire in the distance. She already figured out what Michael is about to do and she's got no problem with it since she already knows that he can take care of himself out there alone.

Michael let out a soft snort, and before leaving, he muttered softly.

"I'll be sure to grab them next time."
