"Don't stop using those hands! Keep on killing them until we can thin them out! Hey, stop shooting and save your bullets! We'll need them when we'll try to break through them to escape later!"
A familiar woman is seen frantically giving out orders within the mini bus. The vehicle is like those dongfeng mini buses used for touring and right now, it's surrounded by tens of walkers and a lot are still pouring out of the forest from the right side of the road.
Inside, there's a small group of survivors fighting off the walkers from every two windows of the bus while the kids and those who can't fight are all huddled at the back of the vehicle.
"Do not falter! We, the living, are stronger than the dead! We're faster than them! Don't forget to switch out every five kills of these dead bastards!" Cyan kept giving words of encouragement, and at the latter part of her words. She pulled a man back from the window at the rear and took over his position. She struck a walker through its head with a sharpened pole without any hesitation, adding another "corpse" under the bus.
It hasn't even been that long since the encounter with Michael, but the air around her had already gone through a small change.
The people kept on killing them and even resorted to using firearms until they had to refrain from using it lest they run out of bullets before they can even create a way out of escape from their predicament.
The battle for survival had only been going on for a few minutes, but everyone was already showing signs of fatigue. It's not that they are physically tired, but their spirits have been getting low since there's still no end in sight of this swarm of undead even after they had already killed tens of walker corpses that already piled up all around the mini bus.
"Cyan, The numbers are still not dwindling no matter how many we kill. We need to think of a way to escape from here or we're going to get overwhelmed if this keeps up. We'd need to think fast before someone loses their mind and does something stupid." Aries softly pulled on Cyan and slowly dragged her in the middle of the bus and brought up his concerns to her.
Cyan did not immediately respond to him since she noticed that the people near them were paying attention to their conversation, so she was hesitating about saying anything for fear of dampening their spirits.
She leaned her face beside his ear and whispered. "Aside from killing them until we can clear out, I don't have anything on me. We can only hope for a miracle, or else, this is it for us."
"Shit, we should at least get the children to safety" Aries whispered back, his face grave. He also does not have any good ideas on how to get them out of here.
On the other hand, the children at the back all looked terrified, but there's also a few of them who are curious and have this gaze on them that looks like they want to join in.
"Are we going to be okay?" one of the younger kids grabbed the older kid beside her with an anxious expression on her face.
The older kid looked at the little girl and gave her a reassuring smile. "We're going to be fine. The adults will take care of this in no time like they always do. So be patient and brave, alright?"
"Uhhmm…okay!"
His words reassured not only his sister, but also the others. Unfortunately, the same can't be said about him since he had already noticed that they are trapped with no way out and making their last stand here.
The kid, around Carl's age, slowly stood up. Someone tried to stop him, but he just brushed her hand off.
'I don't think they have any plans to get us out of here. I need to think of a way for us to escape from here. At least my sister and a few others should, so they still have someone to watch their backs.'
With those thoughts in mind, his eyes wandered around the bus while thinking of something he could do to help. Eventually his attention turned towards the rear window of the bus since he knows he can't go over to the windows where the adults are and might cause more headaches for them.
Ignoring the gazes from the children, the kid tiptoed to look over the window, and at that moment, he was just in time to witness something that made his eyes wide open.
"Get down!"
BOOM!
He let out a loud yell as he immediately ducked down and grabbed hold of his sister close to him. Before a loud explosion exploded near the bus and blasted numerous walkers into pieces!
"Ahhhh!"
The adults and children alike screamed when something exploded close to the bus. Some of those by the window were scared shitless when pieces of the concrete and disgusting pieces of flesh blasted towards them.
Fortunately for them, no one was hurt too badly except for one who got knocked down by a pebble sized piece of concrete that struck his head.
BOOM!
Everyone immediately took cover, and just as they did that. Another explosion occurred on the opposite side of the minibus.
"Freaking heck!"
"Was that a bomb?!"
"Cover your mouths everyone and do not make any noise!!" Cyan immediately commanded. She quickly realized that this might be their chance to get out of here since the walkers would certainly get attracted by the explosion. Of course, she also knows their chance is slim since they're still at the center of this madness, but when you're famished, being picky is not an option.
Following her commands, everyone covered their mouths, especially the children who all looked terrified.
Boom! Boom!
Fortunately or unfortunately for them, the explosion did not stop there were a couple more explosions. It was terrifying for the people inside the minibus as they were all afraid that one might accidentally land on the bus. Even with their circumstance, it was still a blessing since the swarm of walkers around the minibus had slowly thinned out and those that still walked turned their attention on the man in the middle of the road holding a six barreled grenade launcher in his hands.

"Oh yeah~." Michael smirked, the grenade launcher in his hands pointed towards the direction of the minibus.
'Time for the main course.' He made his way towards the roadside and carefully placed the grenade launcher on the ground before pulling the claymore from his back that hadn't seen any action lately.
Meanwhile, on the bus.
Noticing the thinned out numbers of walkers outside and the direction they're heading to, Cyan hurriedly but carefully made her way to the back of the bus and looked through the rear window.
"It's actually him."
Cyan immediately noticed and recognized the lone man standing down the road with a sword in his hand, and her expression became grim as she was reminded of the fate that befell on her companions under the hands of that man.
"You know that guy?"
"Yeah, he's..he's the one who killed Lucas and the others."
Aries looked incredibly excited that someone actually came to help, but his excitement quickly dampened when he heard her words and his expression immediately turned awkward.
"Well, at least his appearance was timely. We can escape from here when most of the things outside have gone over to his side."
