Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 The Great Elder's Shock

"Speaking of some basic concepts of Stars, and the basic utilization of Stars, basically every disciple of the clans would attend.

"The Great Elder will personally explain?"

"Nonsense, the Great Elder has always been nitpicking the Family Head's lineage. The Family Head hasn't returned yet, so it's better not to offend him!" Lin Panghu said as he dragged Lin Feng along. However, they still arrived late. When the two arrived, there were already more than twenty people in the classroom. An elderly man with graying hair was speaking, but as he saw them, he abruptly stopped, his gaze turning unfriendly.

"Great Elder!"

Lin Panghu nudged Lin Feng, and both of them immediately clasped their fists in greeting.

The Great Elder, in the Lin Family, is indeed an elder with a status only second to the Family Head. It's worth mentioning that Lin Mo'er is his granddaughter.

"Lin Panghu, go back to your seat."

The Great Elder said indifferently, not seeming too angry by the look of it.

Lin Panghu didn't dare say much, glanced at Lin Feng, then went back and obediently took his seat.

"As for you, the young master of the Lin Family, Lin Feng, why are you late?"

Lin Feng knew that the old man treated people differently. Although Lin Panghu was from the Family Head's lineage, he was, after all, a Sixth Grade Star, and the Great Elder couldn't make things too difficult for him. But, Lin Feng was different; as a First Grade Star, the Great Elder wasn't pleased with him to begin with, and now, he had found a reason to deal with him.

Lin Feng clasped his fists and said indifferently: "Disciple was so engrossed in cultivation at home that I lost track of time. I hope the Elder will forgive me."

Lin Feng's words were respectful, and the Great Elder was taken aback for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly. He was unexpectedly surprised; he didn't think Lin Feng would be able to restrain himself so well.

Just then, a sneer came from the classroom.

"You? Overly absorbed in cultivation? With that trashy First Grade Star, how much can you possibly improve your cultivation? I think you might as well stop cultivating. All that talk about 'the early bird gets the worm' is just bullshit. You couldn't match my one hour of cultivation even if you spent three days."

As soon as these words were said, many in the class laughed.

Lin Feng looked over, it was Lin Dao whom he had knocked down a few days ago, looking at him with disdain.

Lin Feng shrugged his shoulders, "There's no need to use a cleaver to kill a chicken. To handle some rookies, even a First Grade Star is sufficient."

"You..."

Lin Dao's face immediately turned red with anger, knowing that Lin Feng was making a veiled reference to the fact that he was knocked down by him a few days ago. He took a deep breath, knowing that this was not the place for chaos, in the lecture hall.

"Hmph, don't get too arrogant. After the Great Elder's explanation, I have already basically mastered the use of Star as Soldiers!"

As these words came out, many people looked at him with surprised eyes. It should be known that the Great Elder had just explained the basic methods of using Star as Soldiers to them, which was essentially all theoretical knowledge. Was Lin Dao so talented that he could master it so quickly for actual combat?

Lin Dao stood tall, with a proud expression in his eyes.

"Oh? Lin Dao, you have actually mastered Star as Soldiers?"

The Great Elder was also surprised and muttered.

Lin Dao did not say much, and suddenly stood up: "I am not like some trash who, relying on the fist techniques of some barbarians, dare to be arrogant. For us martial artists, the Star is the foundation. The rank of a Star determines a martial artist's Talent and future. Although I, Lin Dao, am only in possession of a Fourth Grade Star within this classroom, and cannot compare to Young Master Lin Zihua, Young Master Lin Panghu, or Miss Lin Mo'er, I am certainly much stronger than some trash that shames our Lin Family. Although lacking in skill, I've just managed to thoroughly understand this concept. If there is anything incorrect, I hope the Great Elder will point it out!"

As he spoke, he released his Fiery Flame Saber Star, and instantly, waves of heat rolled out.

"Star as Soldiers!"

Seemingly to amplify his momentum, Lin Dao gave a fierce shout, drawing everyone's attention to him. Then, they saw the Fiery Flame Saber Star, which had been hovering behind him, appear in his hand, transforming into a weapon. It was as if Lin Dao was holding a huge saber blazing with roaring flames, incredibly domineering.

"Not bad, very good!"

The Great Elder nodded with satisfaction.

Seeing that he had received the Great Elder's praise, Lin Dao stood even taller with pride in his chest. Many people around were discussing animatedly, all of them shocked by Lin Dao's move.

"That's so powerful, truly worthy of Lin Dao."

"Lin Dao has such strong talent. His ability to comprehend is amazing. When can I become as excellent as him?"

"Too strong."

Lin Feng watched all this without any change in expression. The Stars can generally be categorized as Artifact Stars, like Lin Dao's Flame Saber for one, and then there are Beast Stars, for example, Lin Panghu's Powerful Vajra Bear.

Strictly speaking, Lin Feng's Demon Dragon Star is also one of them, but it's a high-grade, rare Dragon-type Star.

In addition, there are various miscellaneous Stars, such as the insignificant Grass Star; even after communicating with them, they don't offer much benefit. Of course, miscellaneous Stars are not synonymous with trash Stars. Among these, there are also many extremely rare and very powerful Stars; it's just that they lack a clear categorization and are not numerous, so they are all classified under miscellaneous Stars.

The most basic principle of activation for Artifact Stars is 'Star as Soldiers,' which, as the name suggests, involves using the Star as a weapon in combat.

Although Beast Stars are generally a line stronger than Soldier Stars, the difficulty in activating them is also proportionally greater.

Soldier Stars are called 'Star as Soldiers.'

Beast Stars are called 'Star Body.' That is to say, merging the Beast Star with the martial artist's body as one, combat strength, power, speed, and other aspects all increase according to the characteristics of the Star.

For example, Lin Panghu's Powerful Vajra Bear is a strength-oriented Star; if he uses Star integration, not to mention what Lin Panghu will look like, his strength will increase dramatically.

"Lin Feng, did you see that? I have now comprehended the 'Star as Soldiers' and can use the Flame Saber in my hand to school some people who don't know their limits. Lin Feng, do you want to be the first to try the power of my saber?"

Lin Dao looked down at Lin Feng with considerable arrogance.

Everyone's gaze shifted to Lin Feng in unison. Lin Panghu, unable to sit still, was extremely worried about Lin Feng. He knew all about Lin Feng—that this brother of his was merely a First Grade Star. If they really came into conflict, he would likely be no match.

Although he didn't know why Lin Dao was constantly targeting Lin Feng.

The Great Elder saw all of this, yet he did not interfere. Instead, he seemed to want to stand by and watch the excitement.

Watching Lin Dao's overly proud smile, Lin Feng also smiled, "What, just because you've mastered 'Star as Soldiers,' you want to start showing off?"
