"Did you really swear an oath Carlos?"
Anna was stunned, staring deep into his dark grey eyes and Carlos exhaled softly. "I do not care about this oath Anna."
Anna's brows furrowed. "But we all know that there's always a penalty for not keeping sworn promises."
Carlos immediately grabbed her on the shoulder and shouted angrily. "The gods are dead Annabel. Why do you take it so seriously?"
He grabbed her on the wrist and pulled her towards the car. Opening the door, he pushed her into it, and when he was sure that she was seated fully, he slammed the door locked and walked back towards Ezekiel, Oscar and Edward.
"I do not know what games you're playing with me Ezekiel but, let it never repeat or else you wouldn't be standing again with those feet of yours. Trust me, I could easily break them."
He quickly hurried to the car, entered and drove off.
Ezekiel only stared at the empty space before him, his mind, replaying the threat that he had just received from Carlos.
