Chapter 44 - Leaving For Academy

In the Fire Domain, Lau meticulously cultivated different Transparent Flames tailored for specific individuals within the Dark Shadow Alliance, including 9-grade alchemists, adept blacksmiths, esteemed members of the Dark Council, and seasoned Military Commanders.

Each member had their unique requirements and preferences for their Transparent Flames, showcasing Lau's dedication to enhancing their skills.

Thanks to the presence of the deduction system, Lau was able to refine these flames to perfection.

However, the process came with its challenges; the cultivation required vast amounts of valuable and rare resources, and sourcing these materials was often a daunting task for the Alliance.

Recognizing the current state of the Transparent Flames and the need for further expansion, Lau decided to return to Wu Tian City to establish his academy.

The next morning, the selected children from the city were gathered around the designated test area, buzzing with anticipation.

As Lau observed the scene, he noticed that only Xun Er stood among the candidates, devoid of Xiao Yan's presence. Once all the selected students were assembled, the academy instructors unveiled their flying beasts, allowing the students to ride them in groups, soaring through the skies.

On the back of one of these majestic creatures, Lau contemplated the primary motivations for his involvement in the academy, beyond the simple desire to find a girlfriend.

His true aim was to identify unpolished diamonds among the students — individuals with potential who could join the ranks of the Dark Shadow Alliance. While the Alliance boasted numerous loyal members, most were orphans dedicated to the cause.

Lau's strategy was to recruit talent directly from the academy, marking the first step in creating an external branch of the Dark Shadow Alliance, disguised under a different name and origin.

This branch would serve as a hub for expanding their influence and gathering more gifted individuals from the world, all eventually working towards the goals of the Dark Shadow Alliance. Having devised this plan the night before, Lau envisioned an organization filled with unrecognized talent from the academy.

Many of these students were low-profile, preferring to avoid the spotlight and any potential troubles associated with it.

The external branch would undertake tasks that the Dark Shadow Alliance couldn't handle without attracting unwanted attention, operating in the shadows while remaining loyal to Lau's vision.

He also considered engaging wandering cultivators, mercenary groups, and other talented individuals often overlooked by society.

The thought of establishing a powerful group as an extension of the Dark Shadow Alliance filled Lau with excitement. He knew that by tapping into this potential, he could create a network that would strengthen their faction and lead them to greater heights.
