After travelling for some hours, Tsunade decided to rest for some time. She looked behind and saw Akane looking in a direction with a grin on his face.
"Did you find them?"
Akane nodded at Tsunade's words, and he said, "Yeah, I found a squad of Iwa ninjas, the regular One Jonin and three chunin Squad."
"That's not a regular one," Tsunade murmured with her eyes narrowed. A squad of Jonin and three chunin near the borders, she didn't think it would be a regular squad, but more like a squad on some mission.
"Reconnaissance squad?" Akane murmured, making Tsunade stare at him with a deadpan, but from the expression on his face, she understood he wasn't joking.
"Wait a minute,"
Some km away from their location, a white zetsu looked at the Iwa ninjas, and it was supposed to report everything to Akane.
"Should we rest for some time? We haven't met anyone."
"No, not here. This is a dangerous place. We will continue the journey and move to the camp."
"Okay, Captain."
Nodding at their captain, the three chunin followed the Jonin, who was leading them to their camp. This information was sent to Akane by the zetsu, and Akane told Tsunade everything he got to know.
"So they are a reconnaissance squad," Tsunade murmured with a thoughtful face. She understood that she had caught a big fish this time, and Tsunade started to think of various scenarios.
"What do you think we should do?"
Akane looked at Tsunade, who asked the question. In his mind, he had just one thing, and it was to complete the mission, but if he could ambush everyone in the camp, it would become a big achievement.
'But, how will we explain this? Two people destroying a camp, not to mention we don't even know how many people are there.'
'It's not like we don't have many options, but we can't use everything here even if no one is there to see us. So, either we take care of them here or gamble that not more than two squads are there.'
After thinking of various scenarios, Akane told Tsunade her thoughts. His thoughts were similar to the thoughts she had, and a moment later, she said, "Let's capture them first. We can find their camp in the dreams,"
"Hmm, that is something we can do." Akane nodded at Tsunade's words, and he continued, "Then, let's ambush them."
Making the plan, Akane rushed ahead because he knew their location from Zetsu, and Tsunade followed him. Even though she knew that Zetsu was good at looking around and reconnaissance, only now did she understand how useful they were and why Akane preferred to use them.
"How far are they?"
"With our current speed, it would take 30 minutes to reach them."
"Then let's speed up," Tsunade said, and Akane agreed with her words. They both used chakra to increase their speed and rushed in the direction of Iwa Ninja's squad.
As time passed, the distance between them decreased. For some reason, the Iwa Jonin had a bad feeling as he rushed towards the camp.
'This bad feeling, are we on tail?' The Jonin thought, but he couldn't sense anyone in his range. He looked behind, and looking at the somewhat tired look on the chunin's face, he wondered if he should have just taken some rest before.
After thinking for a moment, he decided to take a two-minute break and let the chunins rest while making some preparations. In case someone is trailing him, it would be better to have something prepared.
But what Jonin didn't know was that all of his actions were under the watch, and his bad feelings were true.
When Akane received information from the Zetsu, a surprised look appeared on his face. He turned around and told Tsunade about the information, but Tsunade didn't seem to be surprised by his words.
"That's the difference between experienced Jonin and regular ones. Even if you have strength, if you don't have any experience, the gut feeling he felt is something that can save lives in situations of life and death."
A thoughtful look appeared on Akane's face as he heard her words. He started to think of the situation, and he wondered if gut feeling is something that could be acquired by chakra, like feeling the changes in natural energy in the surroundings or something like that.
'Hmmm, I will look into that later.'
Akane thought, and he decided to put the task on his to-do list. Since the Jonin had stopped, the distance between them started to change faster. It didn't take long for them to reach the place from where Akane himself could sense their presence using Kagura's Mind Eye. A grin appeared on his face, and he stopped on a tree branch. Beside him, Tsunade appeared, and she looked in the direction where the Iwa ninjas were with a serious face.
"How should we do this?" Akane asked, and he saw Tsunade staring at him. A moment later, he understood what she was trying to say, and a chuckle escaped his lips.
"Alright, I will deal with them on my own," Akane said as he understood Tsunade's thoughts, and Tsunade nodded at him. She looked at him disappearing from the place, and Tsunade decided to choose a place to watch the fight happening from the start.
At the place where the Chunins were resting, the Jonin had already laid traps around. His body flinched when he noticed someone's presence, and turning around, he saw a masked man standing on a tree branch not far away from his place.
The Jonin turned to look at the chunins, and he saw that they hadn't even noticed him.
'This is bad. He is at least Jonin level if not a special Jonin specialising in hiding his presence.'
