Chapter 94 - Chapter 94: What To Do Now?

After thoroughly enjoying each other in the bath, we eventually cleaned ourselves and returned to our rooms. Donning proper clothes, I lay on my bed, resting for an hour before leaving, heading to the heart of Jathr to discuss Father Glowworm, though when I arrived, Roku and Kyoshi were already present.

"Oh, Aang, you've finally arrived." Glancing my way, Roku sported a cheeky grin, causing me to roll my eyes as I folded my arms and stood beside him. "I'd assume you two would take a rest break; it seems I was the only one." Side-eyeing him, he faintly chuckled while the two of us shifted our focus to Jathr.

"Fan has already told me everything." Jathr furrowed her brows in deep thought, clearly pondering what the next best course of action would be. "Attacking him is clearly the best response, but I assume you four hadn't returned to simply rest, right?" The three of us nodded at Jathr's words while Kyoshi spoke on our behalf.

"Ending his reign is our mission, but while attacking his base, if he sends corrupted spirits to Jathr, even if we win, it will mean nothing without Jathr." Kyoshi's words were the reason we'd returned home; we hadn't verbally spoken about it, but it was a clear possibility that worried us all.

Even if we defeated Father Glowworm, if Jathr falls and ends up being corrupted, not only would we likely be stuck here, but the many different worlds, including my own, will slowly fall onto the path of destruction.

After a few moments, Jathr nodded, agreeing with Kyoshi's statement before softly sighing. "Jathr isn't weak enough that it would fall quickly; it is the anchor keeping our reality in check after all. If it were just Jathr, it could resist a horde for some time, but without your protection, I, along with every other spirit, would fall."

Unfortunately, Jathr was pretty much defenseless without us, though what really mattered was Jathr herself; if she were killed, then things would stumble out of control as she controls Jathr. However, worst of all, if a corrupted spirit were to take her place, it would accelerate the corruption process.

"So two of us must stay behind to protect Jathr?" Roku raised an eyebrow while frowning as he slowly stroked his chin, only to glance between Kyoshi and me. "If you two attack Father Glowworm while Korra and I stay behind…" Kyoshi and I were the strongest, the heavy hitters among our four-man group, so while it might be smart for both of us to attack Father Glowworm together, we weren't invincible. Who knew what kind of spirits were waiting for us in that mountain?

"We have no idea what's inside the mountain; what happens if we get stuck in a fight with several strong spirits? Do you think Father Glowworm will just send a usual horde? He'll attack with all his available corrupted spirits." Glancing at Roku, I shook my head, not even needing to further elaborate, as it was clear as day what would occur.

"Korra and I, we wouldn't be able to hold out for that long if we got trapped… What if we swap?" Kyoshi quickly shut down Roku's idea. "A similar problem arises." As Roku frowned at our conundrum, Kyoshi and I looked back at Jathr, who shook her head, causing us to furrow our brows.

"We'll find a solution. Father Glowworm has no idea we're at his doorstep; we can just take our time." None here particularly liked my words, since everyone wanted the problem fixed as soon as possible, but at the same time, it wasn't arguable. We wouldn't age no matter how much time passed, and Father Glowworm didn't know how close we were.

We could take a decade to think of a plan if we really needed to. 'A decade… That doesn't sound bad.' Ten more years with Korra, I couldn't say no to such a thing; once we defeated Father Glowworm, we'd all return to our separate worlds, never to see each other again.

Shaking my head, I rid myself of such terrible thoughts and clasped my hands, lightly bowing to everyone before leaving. Just as I exited the door, I saw Korra approaching. "Yo, that's where you were. I was looking for you." Faintly smiling, Korra gently knocked my chest before grabbing my arm, hugging it while leaning into my embrace.

"Did you need something?" "Why do you sound like that?" "Hmm, like what?" "Like you're not happy to see me. Like you nearly got caught having an affair." I could feel Korra strengthen her grip around my arm as she spoke, causing me to suppress a wince of pain. "And who would I be having this 'affair' with? Kyoshi? Jathr?" Eyeing Korra, she flashed a smirk while loosening her grip.

"Hehe, relax, I was just teasing." "Hmph, well, for the record, your assumption was very offensive." Although I wasn't upset, as I knew Korra didn't actually mean anything by it, her words were the same as questioning my, our trust. "Haa, you're right, I apologize, I just wanted to scare you a little." As we walked down the halls, Korra's voice lowered, causing me to glance at her; I softly sighed and kissed her cheek.

"Anyway, I found this cool spot a few months ago, and I think it would be cool to sleep there." Regaining her energetic personality, Korra led me out of the Jathr before walking off a branch, prompting me to slow our descent as we gently landed on the ground. "Where is it at?" Glancing at Korra, she pointed into the distance, at the tallest hill surrounding Jathr. "Over there, right on the edge."

Nodding, we walked side-by-side towards the hill, while Korra filled the air with her voice as she talked about random things from her world, or what happened during our numerous previous expeditions, causing me to nod as I listened, even occasionally chuckling. Of course, for a pair of lovers, we didn't just talk; we also teased each other.

While taking a breath, I'd poke Korra's chest, causing her to reciprocate the gesture, and as the teasing continued, it eventually evolved into something else as we started to feel each other's bodies while gently kissing. "Mhm, you're such a good kisser, Aang." Placing a hand against my cheek, Korra separated her lips from my own, licking them with a faint glint in her eyes.

"Well, I get two times the practice, considering I've got two mouths to kiss." Flashing Korra a smirk, she raised an eyebrow in confusion, only for a faint blush to grace her cheeks a few moments later while she gently slapped my chest. "Muu, that's embarrassing, don't just say that you pervert." "You're the one who always asks for my kiss on that mouth." "I-It feels good." As Korra embarrassingly averted her gaze, I laughed while kissing her once more.

After a few more minutes of walking, we arrived at the hill, where we began our trek up to the top, taking nearly twenty minutes. As we ascended, the sun, which was already in its lowering phase, floated just above the horizon. While at the top of the hill, we turned around to observe Jathr and the lively valley; compared to the area beyond the valley, this place seemed like heaven.

"Beautiful, right? I don't know about you, but whenever we return from our expedition, looking at Jathr helps ease me." Korra's eyes seemed to softly glow as she stared down at the valley and Jathr, causing me to nod. "It is beautiful, though I'd rather stare at you." Chuckling with a smile, Korra pushed me onto the ground before lying perpendicular beside me, her head resting atop my stomach.

"Korra." "Yeah?" "Who is better looking? Me or your crush Mako?" Playing around with Korra's hair, I saw her look up at me, gazing at my smirking face with a blank expression. "Really? That's what you wanted to ask me?" "I'm curious." "Well, I'll have you know, Mako is a bit better looking than you." "Hmm, I see." "Don't tell me you're jealous now? I've been telling you to just grow bread."

I could feel my eye twitch at her words; I would just grow a beard if I could. My facial hair doesn't grow consistently; if I wanted a beard, I'd need to go through a two-week phase where the left side of my facial hair was longer than my right side. "I'll do it some other time." "You say that, but you never will." Rolling her eyes, Korra climbed onto my lap, prompting me to raise an eyebrow as I looked at her, only for her to lift and remove her shirt, revealing her chest underneath.

"They're always so beautiful." Reaching out, I grabbed her left breast, kneading it while Korra softly shook her head, muttering something under her breath, but I was more concerned with her chest than paying attention. Following her shirt were her pants, then she peeled my pants off, freeing my manhood.

"Making love under the gaze of the sun, pretty romantic, right?" Smirking, Korra lowered herself onto me, completely taking my manhood with practiced ease while I moved my hands to her butt. "So long as we don't get caught by Kyoshi." Korra leaned down, her hair serving as a curtain that separated us from the outside world.

"Oh, we should be fine, Kyoshi rarely leaves Jathr at night." Kissing me, Korra begins rocking her hips, causing me to nod as I match her movements, our pleasure slowly building while the faint slapping of chest resounded atop the hill.
