Chapter 95 - Chapter 95: Truth Revealed!

Several weeks passed as we stayed at Jathr, waiting for the perfect chance to attack Father Glowworm and end his corruption in one fell swoop. During that time, we'd occasionally stealthily scout around the mountain where his base resides, searching for entry points and deducing the number of spirits we'd be required to face, not to mention we'd been trying to form a solid plan.

However, if I'm being honest, those were obstacles we'd mainly dealt with by the second week; it was the seventh week now, and the actual reason we hadn't attacked yet was me. I was purposefully delaying the inevitable; after we defeat Father Glowworm, the source of the corruption, the corrupted spirits should return to normal. With Jathr, her small group of spirits, and the now non-corrupted spirits, they should be more than capable of reverting the realm to how it was before.

But that would mean the four of us, Kyoshi, Roku, Korra, and I, would all return to our world. Never to meet again. Ever.

I know what we should be doing to protect reality, but I couldn't just let go of Korra. She wasn't just some casual fling or a girlfriend; she was my lover. She was basically my wife. I loved her too deeply to just let her go. If I'm being honest. "... I'd be content just staying here."

"Ahh, you say something, Aang?" Rolling on her side, Korra wrapped an arm around my chest and glanced at me with curiosity, causing me to shake my head. "No… Anyway, want to go for a seventh round?" Faintly smirking, I mounted Korra, the blankets sliding off my upper body as I leaned down, planting soft kisses on her neck. "Again? Let me rest, it hasn't even been five minutes." "Blame yourself for being so lovely." "Complimenting me isn't always going to work, you know."

Despite her words, Korra still spread her legs, causing me to smile as I entered her, causing her to sharply inhale before wrapping her arms around my neck. "Mhm, reaching my deepest parts in one thrust, you really fit me so well, Aang." Whispering seductively into my ear, she followed up with a kiss, causing me to roll my eyes as I began moving.

"Complimenting me isn't always going to work, you know." Smiling, I reciprocated the kiss with one of my own while reaching underneath her, grabbing her bump as I flipped onto my back while she sat atop me. Our lips refused to separate while I continued thrusting, the noise echoing within my room; after a few minutes, I reached my limit and released deep within her, while we finally split.

"Hey, I haven't climaxed yet. Who said you can do it without me?" Huffing in annoyance, Korra grabbed my cheek, pulling it, causing me to wryly smile. "Sorry, I apologize, I forgot to pace myself… I might still have energy for an 8th round. If you could just do that dance, I'm sure I'll get lively once more." My cheeky grin was met with a raised eyebrow as she folded her arms.

"You, insufferable." After muttering under her breath, Korra heaved a sigh of defeat and raised her hand, brushing her dark brown hair behind her, as she began to dance. As I watched Korra perform belly dancing, I was put into a hypnosis by the movement of her stomach, the way her hands slide across her body, the bounce of her perky breasts, the seductive glint in her eyes, her tanned skin, and the way she licked her lips. It was simply too much for my feeble brain to comprehend.

My body, which should've been beyond spent after the seventh round, was now roaring back to life, and given how she faintly smirked, she knew as well. "Seems someone is lively again." "Who wouldn't after seeing you dance? It's akin to the cure of impotence." Chuckling, Korra continued for another minute before finally stopping, causing me to frown as I sighed in disappointment.

"Now, return your end of the deal." "With pleasure." Sitting upright, preparing to send Korra to cloud nine for the phenomenal dance, we were stopped as someone banged on the door. "Aang. It's Roku and me. We need to talk." Hearing her firm voice, I frowned slightly and glanced at the door. "In a moment."

Shifting my focus back to Korra, I grabbed her butt, my fingers sinking slightly into her flesh, but I was once again interrupted, though this time it wasn't by simple knocking. Busting the door down, Kyoshi forcefully entered my room and glared at me, her voice offering no room for refusal. "We need to talk… Now." "Tch."

Awkwardly, under the watchful gaze of Roku and Kyoshi, Korra and I, in the middle of making love, stood up and got dressed; honestly, I was too irritated to feel embarrassed or awkward about getting caught.

Once we finished, Kyoshi gave me a once-over before turning around, leaving alongside Roku, prompting Korra and me to follow. Exiting Jathr, we walked across the branch before collectively leaping off; nearing the ground, I slowed our descent while Kyoshi continued to lead us further away from Jathr, causing my face to twitch.

However, after several minutes, I grew tired. "Enough, what do you want, Kyoshi?" Folding my arms, I stared down Kyoshi, giving Roku no intention as I knew he wasn't one to think of something like this. This had Kyoshi's name written all over it.

"How do you think we should attack Father Glowworm?" Kyoshi's expression remained impassive as she met my stare, causing me to click my tongue. "That's it? That's why you led us here? To ask a single question." "Just answer it, then you and Korra can return to doing what you were doing before."

I couldn't help but scoff at her remark. "If that question was so easy to answer, wouldn't we've already attacked Father Glowworm?" "That's not the reason we haven't attacked yet, though." "Cryptic as always, it's really annoying, you know." As I shot Kyoshi a glare, Roku interrupted. "Please, just answer the question, Aang." Grunting, I aggressively tapped my foot, thinking for a few minutes.

"I don't know. We're stuck in a predicament where we don't have enough capable people; sorry, but you two aren't strong enough." Glancing between Korra and Roku, the latter standing beside me, I shifted my gaze back to Kyoshi. "If you want an answer, I think we should focus on helping Roku and Korra get stronger. Once they're strong enough, then we can think of a proper plan. You happy now?"

Seeing Kyoshi not respond, I snorted and turned around, walking away. I wasn't in the mood to further entertain her nonsense. "How long will that take, Aang? 1 year? 2? 3? 5? A decade? A century?" "Hmph, it'll take as long as it takes. I'm no prophet." I didn't even bother to look back at Kyoshi as I walked away, but a stone wall suddenly blocked my path.

"You're really testing my limits right now, Kyoshi." Turning around, I glared at Kyoshi, who remained like a statue. "You're lying." "I'm not, besides, even if I was, how'd you find out? Seismic sense? I hope you don't think it's invincible." Again, I tried to walk away, but another stone wall blocked my path. This caused me to stomp on the ground, creating a powerful gust of wind that shattered both stone walls.

"You already know the answer. You're refusing to go through with it because you don't want to be separated from Korra." If it weren't for the teachings from Monk Gyatso, I was confident a vein of mine would've burst. "C'mon, Kyoshi, that's not a funny joke." "Haa, Korra, don't do that. You're reckless, but you're by no means a fool. You of all people should've known what he was doing, even if he didn't tell you anything."

Korra quickly quieted down at Roku's words, causing me to take a deep breath, cooling myself down as I glanced at Kysohi. "Composure can defeat my capability to discern truth. You'd lost your composure, Aang." Hearing her, I bit my lip, stopping myself from lying, as she was right; it was only brief, but I'd been consumed with anger. "Haa, okay, you've got me. You're right, I do know the answer."

No one seemed surprised at my admission. Roku and Kyoshi's expressions remained the same, and Korra lightly flinched but otherwise remained silent; I don't doubt she was suspicious, but opted to just ignore it. "However, so what if I know? Just because the truth is out doesn't mean anything has changed."

"Aang, you can't do that. Reality, our world is in jeopardy. If we don't stop Father Glowworm, chaos will descend." "No, it won't. Time here is frozen; it doesn't matter how long we stay, decades, centuries, millennia. We won't age, and a minute wouldn't have passed in our world. So, does it matter?" Folding my arms, I raised an eyebrow while looking between Roku and Kyoshi.
