Back at the Heroes Academy, in the Ladder of Fortitude. Dina-might and Damon are staring at each other on the 15th step. In reality they are not seeing each other because they are seeing the others as another person produced by their inner demons due to the effect of the Ladder of Fortitude Illusion.
"It's been a while since the two are stuck; the both of them are caught in the illusion, but no one knows who will be the first to wake up. All we do is wait and watch out for what will happen next," narrated the Fatty Cook.
But no matter how she explained, silly viewers were still complaining about it. What are they doing? Why aren't they fighting? What is going on between them?
On the brink of an eye-to-eye battle, Dina might make a move by knocking her own head. She is kind of trying to wake herself up.
"Look, Dina might make some movement; is she going to wake up first from this illusion?" narrated the Fatty Cook.
"I need to wake up; this is just an illusion," Dina thought. But the moment she opened up her eyes and saw the real Ruperth in front of her, she got tense and fell back into the illusion of her inner demon. After that, no one had seen them make a move again.
"What happened? Are they playing the game? The first who makes a move will lose?" asks the senior students. Because of this confusion, more and more people withdraw their bets and stop watching, and the Heroes Academy loses more money.
"Come on, fight! Beat him already!" Cried the students who were tired of waiting when the two candidates clashed.
"Go on, beat each other."
"Stop staring! Fight! Fight!"
Everyone was cheering them to fight.
Dina-might was trying to win herself back from her inner demon, but she was surprised from that moment she knew she had won; the Ruperth in her conspicuousness had become a reality. She becomes unsure if she had woken up or not, so she had fallen back into the illusion.
"I've dealt with you already; I'm sure of it," she said. Then she tried to open her eyes again and saw Ruperth still in front of her.
But then Damon attacked her, but she unconsciously activated the Supreme Shield of Faith that blocked the attack.
Meanwhile in the Heavens, God of Fate was watching the test conducted for the candidates of Heroes Academy. She was surprised to see her artifact appear all of a sudden.
"It can't be. How could he be a she? Did he become a transgender?" She muttered while making some guesses.
"What happened, sister?" said the god that appeared out of nowhere. She has a pair of white wings like those of a swan. She was holding an arrow and bow. The arrowheads are pinkish heart shapes. And the red quiver's belt that looks like a sash fits the white gown that she wears. She is none other than the God of emotions.
"How long have you been spying around me? Didn't you come along with that blind freak God?" asked God of Faith, doubting the God of Emotion. (She is referring to the God of the Blind.)
"Hehe, actually I'm not alone. Stop hiding, brother. I know you are here," said the God of Emotion.
Then a man dressed in a purple robe wearing a long pointed purple hat appeared. He is the God of Oblivion.
"You saw through it?" He asked.
"Why ask the obvious?" the god of emotions answered.
"What's the problem? You want to erase someone's memory? Asked the God of Oblivion to the God of Fate.
"You? You were also here?" Surprised, God of Fate.
"Sister, who are you looking at in your mirror of fate? Did you sponsor someone?" asks the God of Emotions.
"Just leave me and mind your own business," the God of Fate said.
"Oi, is it your Shield of Fate? You sponsored her?" asked the God of Emotion, who went close to her instead of leaving.
The God of Oblivion waved his hand and left the two of them. No, he didn't actually leave; he hid himself from them, though it was useless because the God of Emotions can sense his emotions.
"It's not her. Do you remember your matched couple 500 years ago that was ruined by God the Author by creating a villain in their story? That villain was the most powerful hero that time. He ended up killing himself, and you felt pity for that villain. I pity him too, so I gifted him my artifact, but the aftereffect is in her now. I don't know what happened," explained the God of Fate.
"That was actually a perfect match that the God the Author has ruined," cried the God of Emotions.
Back at the Heroes Academy, students are chanting merrily of the fight between two candidates. They knew soon others as well will fight each other unknowingly since they are in the illusion.
Damon was continuously attacking the barrier. He almost looks crazy as he attacks harder and harder but only to be repelled. In Damon's illusion, he was actually beating Geo, but the boy felt nothing, and he did not react at all, and that is what is making him more angry.
"Poor thing, you can't even hurt that kid named Geo?" A boy appeared with the same appearance as Ruppert.
"Who are you?" Damon asked.
"I am you," Ruperth answered.
"Are you kidding me? I am Ruperth. Why would you disguise yourself as me? Damon asked.
"I can help you deal with him; I can make him suffer,answered Ruperth.
"Oh, are you sure?" Damon asked if he could certainly do it.
The people get annoyed again since Damon stops attacking since he can't break the shield of Dinamite.
"Ladies and gentlemen, the match is undecided yet. As you see, the shield created by Dynamite is so mighty, so unyielding, and so durable. Damon gives up attacking it. Maybe, just maybe, he's looking for ways to find its weakness," narrated the Fatty Cook, avoiding to say information about the Divine Artifact so as not to endanger the life of the bearer outside the academy.
Null and Fox Slayer were on the 49th step now. Time after time, Fox Slayer would beg Null to let go of her, but Null wouldn't listen.
Damon makes his move and attacks with all his might on the shield of Dinamite.
BOOM!
The impact produces an explosion, and Dina falls down. Her shield was destroyed and committed blood due to its drawback.
"Dina, you can't even save your cousin; how can a weakling like you become fit as a hero? Just go home or leave everything, and I'll beat that ass of Ruperth." An image with the same face of Dynna appeared and said this.
"You sure you can beat him.?" asked Dina, looking at the girl with the same face as Dynna.
"Let me take over your body, and let me beat his ass!" ordered Dynna.
Then, another unexpected turn of events has occurred: two candidates who were controlled by their inner demons are fighting. They don't have an insanity issue, but their minds are still collected.
Most of the candidates who were overwhelmed by their inner demon would lose control over their body. They don't care if they are going up or down the steps. They are moving around and attacking everyone around them. They would not choose an opponent, yet the two candidates choose to challenge each other. They are so calm.
"As you see, the two candidates are possessed by their own inner demons, yet they are fine and only choose to challenge others. They did not go berserk at all, and this does not happen before. Yeah, even the gods can tell you that," narrated the Fatty Cook of Medicine.
"Surely these candidates are unexpected," reacted the Dean.
'See that boy over there? He's been fighting his inner demons for a long time. Once he recovers and makes a move, he will be unstoppable, and it will be another unexpected turn of events," the Academy Superintendent said while pointing at Lucky Zero.
The battle between two candidates possessed by their inner demons continues. Damon made a series of combination punches on Dina's left and right sides, which she eventually blocked. She countered a slash kick but got blocked by Damon, and Damon countered it with a low kick. Dina was able to dodge by flipping her body through the air. On her way down, Damon is preparing an uppercut for her, putting all his strength into his fist.
"I'll get you this time!" He yelled.
Dina might activate her shield as she was falling down and is going to fall on Damon's incoming fist with all his strength put into it.
The two collide with each other, and an explosion occurs. Dust was flying down and some debris.
"It's amazing, isn't it? This is the fight that you have been waiting for. But wait, there is more. As more and more candidates entered the 10th step, there will be a lot of fights that will surely drive you crazy. Who do you think would win in this fight right now at the 15th step?" said the new emcee, Fatty Cook of Medicine.
As the dust cleared, Dina-might was seen standing, and she was alright. On the other side, Damon was still fine.
"Yeahhh!" The students shouted.
"Fight! Fight! Fight!" They cheered.
"Come on, beat that Damon!" Some students show support for Dina-might.
Then, they got stunned when they saw Dina-might transforming her body. Her muscles grow bigger, and her body as well. Even her legs.
"Is she a monster?" asked the Dean.
"It might be a giantification skill," said the superintendent.
"She is a giant!" shouted the students.
"Dina-might used a giantification skill to transform herself into a giant. Let's watch what Damon will do," said the Fatty Cook.
Damon summons his sword. "Since you are bigger, you make yourself an easy target," he said, then attacked Dina-might's legs. Cutting and slashing through them as fast as he could.
Damon moved and attacked Dina's legs again from behind, but when he passed between those legs, Dina might have looked down at him, and her right palm slammed him to the floor, like slamming a little mosquito.
With that, Damon's inner demon was defeated, and it left him. But it would not be over for him until he defeated it all by himself.
It's the same for Dina, but she already defeated her own inner demon since the original face of her inner demon was Ruperth.
Now her giantification is over, and she is going back to her own size. People, especially males, are drooling to watch her body, and because of this, the Fatty Cook is in a dilemma. She wants to have a break until Dina might change dresses, but for how long will that be since they can't intervene? Now she doesn't know what to do. She really doesn't want that girl, Dina, to suffer shame because of this test.
But just as Dina-might transformed back to her normal size a golden light apeared from above and her body was shielded and no one can see anything inside of it.
"It's the Gods!" cried the students.
"The Gods, a contract has been made. I want that Dina as my student," said the superintendent, which surprised the dean.
"Eh, I thought you were angry at her. Why did you suddenly make a contract with her?" cried the God of Emotions at the God of Fate.
"She has a pure heart after all," said the God of Fate.
"She is sponsored by that one-eyed giant, right?" asks the God of Emotion.
"How would I know that?" answered the God of Fate. "If that is the case, well maybe, she added.
"A massive strength and giantification; it could be no other than God Poly the Cyclops."
She then explained.
"Is the girl alright now?" asked the God of Emotions.
"She would still sleep for four hours, and when she wakes up, she won't be bothered by those inner demons again,answered the God of Fate.
