After two days of practically living in the garage, I'm finally on top of my work. Wanda's new engine came in, which put me down nearly a grand, but at least now she doesn't have to worry about her car breaking down while she's taking her kids to school.
I sweep my gaze over my almost empty workspace. Just one more vehicle needs my attention, and then I can take a couple of days off. Maybe spend some time hiking in the forest or helping Cassia with her garden.
That's if she hasn't killed everything in it by now. With her black fingers, it wouldn't surprise me if she had.
And it'll give me a chance to speak to her—and Lucian—about Helena. I've only stopped by Lucian and Cassia's house once since I promised to see him, but we didn't talk about Helena. He didn't tell me whether Cassia went to heal Helena, and I didn't ask either.
