In the grand hall sat Grace and a few council elders. She had gathered them to speak on matters concerning the tea house, though she hadn't intended for its destruction to be the focus.
"Go get me Mathew Sterrn," she ordered a guard.
The room stayed quiet as the elders exchanged stiff glances. Soon, Mathew Sterrn walked in briskly behind the guard. His crisp white shirt and blue pants stood out among the muted tones of the council.
"Good day, King Quicke," he said, bowing his head slightly. "You sent for me."
Grace nodded. "Yes, I did." Her eyes moved across the hall. "When was the last time you visited the tea house?"
Mathew hesitated. "It's been a while."
Grace stared at him. "You need to go visit your old friends."
His brows twitched. "If I may, Your Highness why do you say that?"
"There's been some development." She paused. "And I'm torn between keeping the house or tearing it down."
