Chapter 12 - Soul forged weapon

"Alex, get back here!"

Alex was already halfway to the exit with his weapon ready to explode from the amount of energy he was giving it.

"Try and stop me! My mom is in danger, and you think I am just going to stand around while you train Ray to defeat the bastard[1] that is doing this?

Rayleigh felt ashamed. How could he have let his mom get captured, but more importantly, he was furious at Migdranniun for taking pride in killing his dad; he had spent too many holidays with just his mom while his friends talked about having fun with their dads.

"Alex, please calm down. I never intended to try to train Rayleigh in one spot. If Migdranniun wasn't close to releasing his seal, then maybe, but we need to find Rayleigh's Soul forged weapon as soon as possible.

"Wait, what is a Soul forged weapon, and why do I need one? Can't I just destroy Migdranniun concept?"

"You see, Rayleigh, if it were that simple, we wouldn't have had to protect you. I could of just temporarily taken over your body and been done with it, but some concepts are so strong you can't destroy them unless you defeat them or sacrifice or core construct of yourself. "

Rayleigh felt hopeless. How was he supposed to defeat something he couldn't even destroy? Uldess sensing Rayleigh's despair continued.

"This is where your Soul forged weapon[2] comes in. Soul forged weapons are weapons created from someone's soul, hence the name. They can enhance one's power and help with more difficult techniques, or, in your case, lessen the burden of constructing such complex concepts."

Rayleigh realized what Uldess was saying. If he could get his hands on his weapon, he had a chance of defeating Migdranniun.

"Ok, so what are we doing? How do I create my weapon?"

"Well, you see, Rayliegh, I had to remove your weapon when you were still very young, around two, because your power was os immense that doemons could easily find you. I gave it to one of my summons to take it somewhere to keep it safe until you were strong enough to use it, but a demon subordinate of Migdranniun stole it, and I have not been able to locate it since."

Rayleigh felt despair slowly engulfing him. What was he supposed to do? Just then, I voice filled the entire sanction.

"Maybe I could be of assistance."

Rayleigh and Alex looked around, ready to fight. Uldess raised his hand, telling them to stop. Rayliegh noticed that he looked more tired all of a sudden.

"Calm down, you too, it's just a Void Scepter."

[1] Migdranniun is truly a bastard even if I haven't really shown it, though. Hoping to, though.

[2] I feel like digging a hole and staying in there, with some of these terms I come up with, but I can't come up with anything better.
