Alessa was still wiping her eyes when the door opened. Not hurriedly. Not gently. Just that kind of click that was a little too firm to be innocent.
Salin walked in. Light clothes, slightly messy hair, a half-eaten cookie in one hand, and the most "I saw everything from the door" expression a human could wear.
Eyes narrowed. Arms crossed.
— So... you really thought I don't keep an eye on my man? — he said, raising an eyebrow.
Alessa froze. Eyes wide.
— N-no, it wasn't—
— Relax, babe. — Salin gave a crooked smirk as he stepped closer. — I've tried to manipulate people with a sad little face too. You just aimed too high.
She flushed, completely caught off guard.
— But it's fine. You've got guts. I like that. — Salin winked. — Just remember I'm more dangerous than you.
Jun-ho coughed, trying to hide a laugh.
— Salin... — he said in that half-reproachful, half-amused tone of someone who knew damn well his husband was enjoying this.
Alessa bit her lip, embarrassed.
