"Lord player, I sell clothes and shoes." The voluptuous beauty caught up with Skylar and continue walking beside him.
Ah I think I need a better mask. Skylar thought, touching his skin tight mask.
"From, luxury to trendy clothes... anything you want lord player." The voluptuous madame continued. She moved closer to Skylar.
"Do you sell masks?" Skylar said as he turned his face to look at her momentarily.
"I sell all clothing apparels lord player." She replied as a they waited for a man effortlessly guiding a levitating car-size contraption like a roofless box made of wood that contains sealed boxes, to pass in front of them.
Seeing Skylar deep in though as they resume their slow match, she continued, "Lord player, I have a better mask than the one your face. My shop is inside the next store tower, lord player... you can follow me and see for yourself."
"Okay, let's go. Lead the way." Skylar said as he paused, turning to her.
She smiled genuinely and doing as instructed, she starts walking in front of the two, leading them in a direction away from the sliding door entrance of the building that is right in front of them to another beside it.
Meanwhile, when she turned left and starts leading in front, Skylar and Starboy simultaneously flashed each other a horror-shocked look, and quickly returned their focus to the super massive swaying rear of the voluptuous madame which sight is the reason of their reaction.
["Big bro, this is crazy."] Starboy sent Skylar a voice transmission as he quickly move his messenger bag to cover the front of his pants, while his protruding eyes follow the rhythmic movement of the madame light-skinned, toned hypnotic rear.
["Yes, she is freaking illegal. The firmness and elasticity alone can kill a man, not to talk of that scary size."] Skylar responded with a voice transmission of his own. Then like escaping the pull of a super massive black hole, he quickly look away from the madame's rear and turned to look at the box-like building in front of them she is leading them to.
So this buildings are like shopping malls after all.
What the hell are they selling for it to be this big?
As they near the sliding door entrance to the building they are heading to, Skylar saw through the glass wall of the building and the sliding door entrance that their is a wide atrium space between its entrance after someone enter it and the store building inside it, just like the other shopping mall along its line. Then a moment later, he looked at Starboy beside him who is head deep in his glyph mobile.
This guy must have been here several times already... maybe not. If my guess is correct there should be more than one sky terminal in a sector... that will be at least eight sky terminals per block. Why do they even need that many? This one alone looks as empty as empty can be, I can bet there will be other ones that will be far emptier than this one...
"Lord player, this is one of the sky terminal store tower. Have you been to one before?" The madame questioned Skylar as all three of them side by side, with Skylar in the middle, simultaneously enter into the building that looks identical to a shopping mall through its entrance which is about seventy meter tall and a hundred meter wide.
What's with this woman—Is she interested in me or something?
And how did she even know I am somewhere here like this for the first time? As she been watching my subtle movements? So suspicious...
After a brief pause, both verbal and physical, Skylar turned to her and smile at her from behind his skin tight mask.
"You guess right. This is my first time on a sky terminal." Skylar replied her, then he turned from her.
A little far from them is a cylindrical transparent glass elevator like an MRL elevator fitted directly next to the back of the front entrance of the complex—the spot directly where the sliding door slide to. And this glass elevator glass colomun, like another one some distance next to it and parallel to the entrance of the complex as it is also fitted right behind the front entrance; appear to pierce through the sides of layers of perpendicular sky bridges above that correspondent to every floor of the store tower building above the ground floor, also leading to them.
This place is really huge. Its making us look like ants. I guess this is why some people are suffering from megalophobia...
Skylar raised his head to catch sight of the very top of the building. He already concluded it to be almost exactly ten kilometer tall, and now he also concluded there to be forty nine layers of sky bridges which correspond to forty nine floors, bringing the total floors in the complex to exactly fifty.
A moment later, his eyes looking up, settled on one of the many flying wooden contraption that is floating high above them—one just like the one that pass in front of them earlier. But the one he is looking at now, just like some others around, is way bigger, and in addition to the large wooden roofless box looking contraption, a square-shaped truck head looking contraption made of glass walls and wooden frame is seamlessly attached to it. In short, it looked like an articulated dump truck used in mining, but one without tires and visible engine units, but a flat base and seemless joint between its container and drive units.
"What is that thing?" Skylar asked the madame as he turned to face her.
"That is a sealed box car lord player, there are bigger ones called sealed box trains. And you see the smaller ones without a driver space lord player... that space where the glass screen are, that has two men inside..."
"I see it..." Skylar nodded. His eyes that has returned to look up reflect two men inside the drive space, which one could see through its transparent glass front screen and transparent glass screen at both sides. Then, it switched, looking at one of the flying contraption without a drive space, like the one that passed in front of them earlier.
"They are called box carts." The madame concluded, and met Skylar's eyes that just turned to look at her.
"You are saying those things the size of a car are called box carts? Aren't they too big?"
"No lord player, there are even bigger ones." The madame replied Skylar, and as she looked at him, she let slip a genuine smile that quickly receded.
"There is also another one we call box wagon, lord player." The madame added.
"Oh..."
"They are different from the rest in that they have the ability to travel longer distances, and can also fly way higher—All of them in general are called cargo floaters."
The madame after her explanation flashed Skylar a professional smile as always.
Then Skylar after a moment returned to look at the box car that has sealed boxes loaded on its container space. And for the next half a minute, he watched as the box car move closer to the balcony of a higher floor where it stopped. Then he turned away, turning to the madame.
"Where to." He asked her.
"My store unit is on the fifth floor... follow me lord player." She replied, then she starts leading the way through the atrium—the wide open space between the entrance and the store building at the other side—the place where she is leading them.
This place is kind of uselessly grand.
While they walk, Skylar looked to the side at a circular pool fitted with an incredible fountain structure and at the tall colorful trees skirting its boundary with enough space between one tree and the other, offering passersby the view of the grand fountain.
...
Soon after, they reached an elevator column that its circumference half way pierce through the sides of the skybridge of the next floor and thetefore sides of the skybridge of the other floors, right to the last at the top.
As the madame starts to walk past it, and simultaneously towards another in front that also pass through the side of the sky bridge half circumference just like its counterpart, but at the other side of the sky bridge, thereby forming a couple with the first one; Skylar turned his focus to the madame in front of him.
"Are we not using this one?" He asked her.
Then the madame after stopping, turned to him and flashed him a professional smile.
"No, lord player. That one is for descending, the one in front is for ascending." The madame clarified. She continued. "They use rover technology just like most landing cribs... "
She paused like she realized something, then a moment later, she resumed.
"Lord player, do you know what a landing crib is?"
"...To some extent... are they like cargo floaters? They carry people instead of cargo." Skylar responded, looking at the madame.
"Yes, lord player. But thier movement radius is limited unlike a sky vehicle—they can't travel long distances... but they can fly very high and even reach a vessel in the upper sky."
The madame concluded her explanation, then she turned around and resumed leading their march towards the ascending elevator column in front.
"Lord player, what about propulsion engines? Do you know the difference between a rover and a hover?" She asked.
Meanwhile Skylar whom she directed her question to, has at one point continue to watch attentively, her hypnotic swaying large rear that is jiggling madly like a pendulum as she switches her hips. But anyways he responded.
"Is a rover related to the earth field?"
"Yes lord player. A rover utilize the earth field for both levitation and navigation. And a hover uses a thruster engine for propulsion, and a suspension engine for levitation..." The madame replied.
"I see..." Skylar responded. Then following this, silence ensued between them until they reach the transparent glass elevator column they were going to, and it was broken by the beep of the elevator after the madame placed her palm on it, making it opened for them.
As the madame enter into the elevator, Skylar who has been quiet and Starboy who has been head deep in his glyph mobile, both following her absentmindedly, also entered the transparent glass elevator that is identical to the others within the store tower. Then it closed and starts rising up steadily towards its set destination above.
So their are five of this things that leads to each floor, and each of them is about two hundred meters wide...
While the elevator continue its ascent, Skylar with his super sight, took in the entire view of the structures in front of him. He noticed each floor has five evenly spaced two hundred meter wide bridges that are connected to the entrance wall of the entire store tower, leading to their respective floors of the store building that is separated from it by the atrium. He also noticed every vertical line of skybridge has four pairs of elevator column, one on each side, fitted into a semicircular groove on their sides, as they go from the ground floor to the top floor above, just like the one they are currently inside.
That's about one fifty meters, right.
Skylar also noticed the first pair at the entrance, directly next to the door. And he concluded there is a hundred and fifty meters distance between it and the second pair, just like the third pair and fourth pair, with the fourth pair adjoining the store tower building they are going to.
Those ones are narrower. They are about fifty meter less...
As they near the second floor skybridge which is the third one—middle one—among the others in its layers; he noticed a different one hundred and fifty meter wide skybridge that pass through at an angle ninety degree, the middle of every skybridges in a layer—that is the five skybridge on each floor that leads to the store building from the entrance. And also, he noticed this bridges parallel to both the front entrance and the store building provide passage between the five skybridges on each floor layer.
This woman has been looking at the back of my ear for some time now. What's she doing?
After the elevator go past the first layer of skybridge and after Skylar was done with the analysis of the skybridge architecture, he noticed in an almost discernible reflection in the elevator glass, the madame standing behind him that has been staring at the back of his ear intently.
