The perfect resurrection description was intriguing: if the Death Slayer was killed, he could use this power to instantly revive, fully healed and restored—not Rhodes' system-fueled repair, but a true resurrection.
It was both a passive and active skill—usable on others, too. Anyone, no matter how long dead or what state, could be revived with this power, ignoring all prerequisites and directly invoking the power of death itself.
To Rhodes, it was like a one-time, premium service: first, max out a Death Slayer (costing 8-9 million coins), then spend another 10 million for the resurrection—a total of 20 million coins for a single perfect resurrection.
Of course, the resurrection had its limits—it could only revive mortal-level beings, not full gods.
Still, it was incredibly powerful—Rhodes considered reviving fallen Primarchs or Imperial heroes, like Ferrus Manus or Sigismund, or even Saint Sanguinius.
But Sanguinius' soul was now so powerful that even reviving his body wouldn't contain it—the body would collapse.
So, for now, reviving Ferrus Manus, the Iron Hands Primarch, seemed the best bet.
Shouldn't the Emperor pay for that? But lately, the Emperor seems willing to give Rhodes anything except the Golden Throne.
Rhodes didn't plan to inherit the title of Second Emperor just yet! Maybe he could use this to blackmail another faction!
Rhodes pondered how to maximize the benefit of this single resurrection.
For now, reviving Ferrus Manus seemed the best option.
Forget it! The perfect resurrection cost 20 million coins—equivalent to a top-tier store upgrade. Not urgent!
Aside from perfect resurrection, the Death Slayer possessed immense death attribute power—everything Yvraine could do, he could do even more easily.
The Death Slayer was fascinating—the Ace killer was highly evolvable.
But only system-exchanged versions had such power; regular ones had just basic abilities. Absorbing Death God power only added a new ray attack. Same for the Emperor's Avatar and Slaanesh Slayer.
At that moment, Yvraine looked at Rhodes' new Death Slayer in shock—she realized how the Emperor's Avatar had been made!
Who would've guessed that the mighty, righteous Emperor's Avatar started out as such an ugly thing!
"This Death Giant's body is perfect too! I think it suits me even better," said Ynnead, staring at the transformed Death Slayer in shock.
This wasn't just absorbing divine power—it was fusing with it, stealing his strength, yet the power was now unrelated to him.
Perfect—absolutely perfect!
"You want this giant's body? I could allow it, but I've already made you a super-beast form. Don't you want it? It's fused with your avatar," Rhodes said playfully.
Rhodes had never considered fusing the Death Slayer and Death God—the Ace Killer, unlike the super-beast shell, had its own consciousness.
All of Rhodes' Emperor Avatars and Death Slayers had independent personalities—they weren't just living weapons.
As soon as Rhodes finished speaking, the Death Slayer glared at Ynnead.
"Of course, the more perfect the body, the better! If I could get the giant's body, it'd make fighting Chaos much easier in the future," Ynnead said.
The super-beast shell Rhodes made, fused with the Death God's avatar and lordly flesh, was powerful—but compared to the Death Giant, it was lacking.
Both could grow huge, but godly instinct told Ynnead the Death Giant was more precious.
Rhodes laughed—this Aeldari Death God sure knew quality. Honestly, the Ace Killer, bought for 100,000 points, was the best deal of all the monsters.
If not for being a living weapon, Rhodes would put it in the million-point prize pool.
It could absorb any kind of power and be system-enhanced—truly perfect.
"You want the giant's body? Those things are expensive—you can't afford one," Rhodes said.
"I don't have the means now, but in the future, I will. Reserve me one! I want the most perfect version—a custom Death Giant body," Ynnead replied.
After seeing the Emperor's Avatar's power, he believed a perfect Death Giant body would let him unleash his full power in the material universe.
Then he'd rule the galaxy.
"Fine! If you're interested, we'll see what you offer in future. For now, make do with this!" Rhodes snapped his fingers, and the Death Slayer vanished as if it had never been there.
Ynnead smiled, entered the super-beast body, and began transforming it with death energy.
A gray-white energy wrapped the body, the healthy Aeldari skin turning corpse-pale, even the muscles a bit withered—serious deathly decay.
Rhodes frowned—what was going on? Why the severe deathly decay in the super-beast shell fused with the avatar?
But Ynnead's soul didn't leave, and the decay didn't worsen.
The body and Death God seemed to reach a balance—still corpse-faced, but stabilizing.
Ynnead opened his eyes—his first time with a real body. It didn't feel perfect; it was like controlling a puppet, and he could sense the ongoing decay.
His death power was no joke—arguably the most domineering force in the universe. Only Nurgle's power was comparable.
Nurgle's power brought mutation; his brought death—if you couldn't absorb it, you became a vessel of death.
Without the avatar's fusion, the body would've rotted instantly on possession.
"Mr. Rhodes, it seems your product isn't quite as perfect as you claimed," Ynnead said, voice chilling.
"I never said it would perfectly suit your soul, but it's usable! Just a little deathly corrosion. You know, not many things in this universe can bear your power," Rhodes replied.
The only thing he had that could hold Death God power perfectly was the Death Slayer.
But that was Rhodes' trump card—not to be given away lightly!
A weaker being could be controlled by fusing with a Death Slayer.
But Ynnead was not among them.
The Death Slayer had consciousness but a weak soul—even the Slaanesh Slayer was weaker than a Primarch.
Even if Rhodes maxed out a Death Slayer with the system, only its divine power and physical might increased—the soul remained fragile.
If Ynnead possessed a Death Slayer, he could easily swallow its soul.
For the future, Rhodes planned to have Yapool make a basic Ace Killer to hand over.
"I can use this body for now, but as I use my power, the death aura will only grow. Eventually, the death energy will reduce it to bones," Ynnead said.
His death power was unlike any other. If it were life power, it'd actually help normal beings. But death power only brought death.
"When this body reaches its limit, I'll prepare a new one for you—provided you pay me well," Rhodes said.
"Deal." Ynnead nodded and left, using his own death power to stabilize the body.
How he'd explain his grand seer's disappearance and his own return to the Death God army was not Rhodes' concern.
Before leaving, Ynnead waved at Yvraine, reclaiming all the death power he'd lent her.
But with Rhodes' cosmic beasts, Yvraine didn't lose much.
"So I'm free—from today, I'm no longer the Death God Emissary of the Ynnari."
Once sure Ynnead had left, Yvraine let out a long sigh of relief.
It had always been nerve-wracking acting as the Death God's Emissary!
"Don't worry. Stay by my side, and you'll never have to fear the Death God again," Rhodes said.
Luckily, Yvraine hadn't agreed to let the Death God possess her—the corrosion was no joke.
She could use some death power herself, but it was nothing like direct possession.
"Rhodes, I suspect the deathly decay was for your benefit—Ynnead wants your giant's body," Yvraine mused.
"Oh? Why do you say that?"
"Think, Rhodes. The Death God's power isn't just about controlling death—he can resurrect life. When you revived your Primarch, his power was key. The Death God governs both death and life," Yvraine said.
Her words hit Rhodes like a flash of insight—she was right. The Death God's power could revive!
That perfect resurrection wasn't just theory! Was it really impossible for the Death God to control his own energy's effect on a body?
"If he can pay, giving him an extradimensional body isn't out of the question," Rhodes said.
"By the way, there's something you need to prepare for," Yvraine said.
