Viewing a domain as a nation, a universe, or even a world-this had been Noah's initial idea.
But for various reasons, he had never acted on it.
Or rather, he had never known how.
This time was different.
The silver dragon that displayed a complete spatial domain gave Noah too many ideas.
He darted through space, constantly dodging and shifting, like a fly buzzing chaotically through an empty room.
There was no elegance to it.
Only necessity.
Time was running out.
Still, Noah wasn't too worried.
He still had the Time Stone.
"Space... space..." Noah muttered, staring at everything that had seemingly materialized around him.
Something clicked.
Space was originally a relative concept-an abstract construct that defined existence itself. Objects only existed because space existed first. Without a reference frame, existence could not be confirmed.
That kind of existence transcended perception.
It transcended everything.
But Noah wasn't an ordinary person.
Even sorcerers weren't ordinary.
Ordinary humans needed time to understand space. Sorcerers didn't. Space was just space.
And space itself was power.
Space separated from time was fixed.
The power born from that was the purest form of a spatial domain.
At least, that was Noah's understanding.
Space contained infinite rules. Noah understood them. He remembered them.
But right now, he didn't need rules.
He needed purity.
Pure space was the foundation of everything.
Temporarily abandoning those rules wasn't optional.
He was already doing it.
"Space is necessary for the existence of all matter," Noah thought calmly. "Without space, everything disappears. So I need a space."
The instant the thought settled-
The silver dragon appeared beside him.
Noah snapped back to reality.
The dragon's massive jaws filled his vision. There was no room to evade, no room to resist.
Just before the bite landed, a faint green glow erupted from Noah's body.
"Ah!"
He was crushed.
Pulverized in a single bite.
Time froze.
The entire space was sealed, an eerie force circulating through the void.
Then-
Time resumed.
Noah reappeared some distance away, completely intact.
If not for the faint green glow still lingering on his finger, no one would believe what had just happened.
The Time Stone.
Noah rarely used it.
But that didn't mean he couldn't.
What Strange could do, Noah could do as well. Years ago, he had already mastered its use. That was why he could wield it so easily.
The silver dragon noticed.
Yet it showed no surprise.
Perhaps it lacked emotion. Perhaps it already knew.
Without hesitation, it attacked again.
The entire space roiled violently.
Countless invisible blades pierced in from every direction.
"What a bully," Noah muttered.
He fled again.
Honestly, Noah didn't know how long the dragon's domain could last.
But he knew one thing.
He couldn't last much longer.
Reversing time consumed energy-magic power or mental power.
In combat, Noah naturally chose mental power to fuel the Time Stone. His magic power couldn't be disrupted.
Fully restoring oneself with the Time Stone was inherently difficult.
The stronger the individual, the worse it became.
With a quiet sigh, Noah continued feeding mental power into the process.
The chase went on.
But something changed.
Noah's domain began to stabilize.
Originally chaotic and disordered, it slowly gained structure-layers, depth, dimension.
No.
More than that.
A multidimensional, multilayered universe.
Noah began using space itself to sculpt his understanding of existence.
Each element gained its own arc.
Each arc contained chaos, but that chaos was bounded.
"These elements are already fused," Noah murmured. "They can't be fully separated."
At that moment, the silver dragon opened a black hole directly from Noah's body.
He shattered.
Fragments scattered-
Then reassembled.
Noah reappeared before the dragon once more.
"It needs partitioning," he thought. "But also fusion."
While dodging, he restructured the domain.
Four intertwined spheres emerged within it, linked yet distinct.
Outside them, green and blue energies wrapped together, forming a larger sphere that enclosed everything.
A materialized domain world.
All six elements, once chaotic, were now clearly divided.
Order emerged.
Like a newly born universe, every layer was distinct. Every structure precise.
Noah felt it instantly.
The domain became denser.
More solid.
The flow between elements smoothed out, almost instinctive.
Even time and space-previously resistant-responded more readily.
He could control them.
Roar!
Another dragon's roar echoed.
Noah didn't need to look.
The silver dragon had intruded again.
His domain was still wrapped inside the dragon's space, constantly being eroded.
This time, the pressure was heavier.
Colder.
The dragon was angry.
Noah's domain cracked inch by inch. Black holes blossomed everywhere.
Then-
Green light flared again.
"Is this bastard actually pissed?" Noah muttered, rubbing his head.
His mental power was dangerously low.
But he smiled.
Despite everything, he finally felt it.
This domain was far stronger than before.
The increase was enormous.
Elemental flow, magic circulation-everything moved almost at will.
Roar!
The domain shook violently, space itself becoming lethal.
Noah didn't care.
This time, he didn't hide.
He didn't hate the silver dragon.
He was grateful.
Without it, this transformation would never have happened.
The best answer to an opponent was overwhelming strength.
Noah wasn't sure he could win.
But he wouldn't use the Time Stone again.
His goal was already achieved.
More importantly, his mental power was nearly exhausted.
He couldn't continue anyway.
Ice and fire collided once more.
Wind and sand tangled again.
But this time, time and space bound them together.
A new power formed.
A faint golden longsword slowly condensed.
Supported by the domain, it became terrifying.
Roar!
The silver dragon roared again-but didn't enter his domain.
Space shattered.
Massive blocks split apart. Spatial cracks spread everywhere, exuding destruction.
At the dragon's maw, world-ending energy gathered.
"Again?" Noah raised an eyebrow.
He poured all his magic power into the sword.
The next instant-
Golden and silver forces collided.
Blinding brilliance erupted throughout the system space.
Space collapsed.
Domains shattered.
Cracks spread across both domains as catastrophic energy surged.
Noah's vision faded.
His senses dissolved.
But before everything vanished-
He saw it.
The light sword pierced through space and entered the dragon's maw.
The silver dragon froze.
Its massive body turned transparent.
Then vanished completely.
"Damn it!"
Noah jolted awake.
The familiar library surrounded him.
He knew immediately.
He had died.
Whether it was mutual destruction or defeat didn't matter.
The result was the same.
"That hurts," he muttered, rubbing his head as he stood.
He stared at the silver energy sphere floating before him, his mind replaying the battle at high speed.
Every exchange.
Every mistake.
Every insight.
This kind of evenly matched battle was priceless.
Especially the gains related to his domain.
The improvement was massive.
But before even a minute passed-
The silver sphere shifted again.
Noah's expression darkened.
"What the hell," he said flatly.
"Again?"
