The battle between Noah and the silver dragon was strange and difficult to read, yet Noah could clearly feel himself being pushed into a disadvantage. The combat wisdom this silver dragon displayed was unsettling. It was far more terrifying than any opponent Noah had faced before.
Still, Noah had no intention of stopping or retreating.
An enemy like this made him feel unusually excited.
Even as he was forced into a passive position, the combat experience Noah had accumulated through countless battles was not meaningless. The Star of Time and Space shimmered faintly on his finger as Noah stopped relying on space magic alone.
He possessed four elements, the power of space and time, and even high-dimensional dark power.
There was no reason to restrain himself.
From the very beginning, Noah had never planned to limit his power.
The faint golden glow around him intensified.
Spell after spell was cast without pause as Noah launched a fierce counterattack, showing no sign of weakness. A clash between two Tier 9 existences was truly earth-shattering. Deafening roars echoed endlessly through the arena.
Terrifying spatial fissures tore open amid the collisions.
If this battle had taken place in the outside world, the surrounding space would have collapsed long ago-especially with two spatial mages involved. The residual energy alone would have been enough to render Earth completely uninhabitable.
The intensity of the fight caused Noah to subconsciously deepen his understanding and control of his Tier 9 power.
This method was unusual.
But it was extremely effective.
Backed by his immense magical reserves, Noah cast spells almost continuously. Yet this was not a mindless flood of magic. His opponent was an existence on par with him, even slightly stronger in certain aspects.
Overwhelming it with sheer quantity was impossible.
Rather than forming a massive magical storm, Noah released spell after spell in rapid succession. Each one was cast with full intent, and each carried terrifying power.
This approach consumed far more energy.
But it allowed him to adapt to his strength faster.
Even so, Noah knew he couldn't afford to exhaust himself this way.
Every spell was calculated.
Every spell had a purpose.
Violent winds and shattered stone filled the air. Extreme cold intertwined with blazing flames. Elemental laws were manipulated and combined, releasing astonishing effects under Noah's control.
Yet the silver dragon clearly did not take his magic seriously.
Its speed was absurd.
Its mastery over spatial magic was even worse.
Noah found it almost impossible to lock onto its position. Even when he used spatial power to deliver magic directly nearby, the dragon showed no fear.
In its eyes, Noah's spells were either too slow-or simply unnecessary to dodge under spatial interference.
With no better option left, Noah made a decision.
He would use his last resort.
A Domain.
Within the system space, there was no need for verbal commands. In truth, it wasn't much different outside either. Noah only needed a single thought.
Instantly, strange ripples spread outward.
A terrifying yet subtle power bloomed across the system space.
At the same moment, Noah locked onto the silver dragon.
A longsword formed from the convergence of four elements sliced through space.
The silver dragon immediately sensed the fluctuation-and the lethal danger.
As it attempted to use spatial transfer to evade, it discovered something horrifying.
The space around it had been sealed.
The silver dragon roared and poured all its strength into escaping its position, only to realize something was terribly wrong.
It wasn't slowing down.
Everything else was speeding up.
Or perhaps it had been forcibly slowed.
Elements surged inward as the longsword pierced space and drove straight into the dragon's body. A clear wound appeared across its smooth, silver scales.
The erosion of the four elements forced a painful wail from its throat.
Even so, the dragon was far from helpless.
Despite its injuries, it swung its massive tail toward Noah with brutal force. Protected by his domain, Noah wasn't harmed-but the distraction was enough.
Even a momentary lapse could affect magic.
Time magic was still unfamiliar territory for Noah, even with the Time Stone assisting him.
In the blink of an eye, the silver dragon broke free and retreated at maximum speed, escaping Noah's domain.
"Its vitality is ridiculous... only a minor injury?" Noah frowned.
That strike hadn't been his strongest spell, but it was far from weak. The four-element fusion, amplified through the domain, carried terrifying destructive power.
Even with Noah's domain fusion still incomplete, that attack could have nearly cleaved the moon in half.
Yet the dragon merely cried out and endured it.
That alone surprised him.
What followed stunned him completely.
Power fluctuations identical to Noah's suddenly erupted from the silver dragon's body. A refined spatial rhythm spread outward-and right before Noah's eyes, the dragon unfolded a complete spatial domain.
"...What the hell is this?" Noah froze.
A domain?
This thing had a domain?
And judging by its scope and completeness, it was terrifying enough to make Noah's scalp tingle.
How was this possible?
His own domain was still half-formed, yet this dragon's was fully complete.
Had the system been lying to him?
"Stop overthinking. Focus on the battle."
The entire system space froze as the mechanical voice sounded in Noah's mind.
"Possessing a domain is not rare. You need opponents like this for testing."
"But this thing's domain is actually complete," Noah cursed inwardly.
What kind of nonsense was this?
"If you had chosen a single element as your domain, yours would also be complete," the system replied calmly. "However, you chose elemental fusion. Greater potential requires time."
"As for the effort, that is not your concern. You provide ideas and combat data. I handle the fusion."
Haven't I been putting in effort? Noah grumbled internally.
Still, it was just a complaint.
His mindset quickly adjusted.
An opponent like this was even more interesting.
With both sides possessing domains, Noah could directly observe how a complete domain maximized combat power-and apply those lessons to his own.
Taking a steady breath, Noah prepared himself.
The frozen space resumed its motion.
Instantly, overwhelming spatial pressure crashed down on him. Noah didn't hesitate and activated the Space Stone within the Star of Time and Space.
If the opponent wielded space, then space would answer it.
The next moment, Noah realized the silver dragon's domain resembled a pure white field. It looked seamless, yet Noah could feel it could be shattered into countless fragments at any moment-even down to microscopic levels.
A black hole suddenly formed behind him.
A dragon's roar followed.
Noah compressed his domain around himself, golden light surging outward. A silver wall materialized within his domain.
The Wall of Space.
Invisible and intangible, yet forcibly given form through the domain.
It was pierced instantly.
The wall shattered like glass.
Space was truly absurd.
Noah's expression darkened, though he remained calm.
Activating the Space Stone again, Noah entered something similar to a mirror dimension-but the silver dragon followed relentlessly.
Like a shadow.
Noah narrowed his eyes.
He felt it.
He was locked inside the dragon's spatial domain.
That blank white space wasn't an area-it was a particle.
No matter how many layers of space he crossed, he remained trapped within that cubic boundary.
"This is troublesome..." Noah frowned.
If the dragon caught him, defeat would be inevitable. Even though death here would only be an illusion, Noah didn't like the feeling.
Under his control, the Space Stone's power surged wildly. High-dimensional space. Low-dimensional space. Mirror space. Flat space.
Noah leapt through space repeatedly, desperately avoiding pursuit.
Time power was layered in, slowing everything he could.
And all the while, Noah was thinking.
Thinking about this domain.
This complete spatial domain created by the dragon-or rather, by the system.
It was complete, yet unmodified.
A pure spatial domain.
And within it, Noah found inspiration.
Ideas.
Ideas for how to reshape his own domain.
