Chapter 504 - Chapter 504: The System's True Value

Since he had made his decision, Noah planned to properly experience different opponents during this period.

He had fought light-attribute opponents for far too long. He was honestly sick of them. He didn't want to see those exquisitely beautiful or handsome faces again, nor deal with power that felt as warm as the morning sun yet was no less destructive than dark magic.

These winged bird-people were simply too annoying.

They had strong power and absurd recovery. Noah had been overturned more than once, even losing while his domain was active. He couldn't outlast them and ended up eliminated.

His domain only lasted five to ten minutes. But as long as angels weren't completely killed, they could resurrect from the ashes. Being dragged out and defeated was normal.

Noah couldn't stand it anymore.

He already knew how to deal with those damned bird-people. But thinking carefully, if a single one could give him so much trouble, what about other elemental beings or monsters?

So this time, Noah didn't plan to restrict his opponents.

He decided to let the system randomly generate them.

No matter what appeared, he would face it head-on.

As Noah made his decision, the system space began to change violently. Azure energy spread in all directions, and in the blink of an eye, the entire space transformed into an ancient gladiatorial arena.

This was Noah's request. He felt more comfortable with this appearance.

Taking a deep breath, Noah stepped directly into the arena.

He didn't know what kind of opponent would appear. A human. A high elf. A monster. A demon. A dragon.

Anything was possible.

That was exactly what he needed.

After all, who knew what he would face in the future?

Uncertainty was the most interesting part.

Watching the silver glow forming before him, Noah couldn't help but observe it carefully. He had always wanted to understand what this power truly was.

It could simulate almost any force.

Although its essence remained this strange silver energy, the characteristics it manifested were constantly changing.

Noah genuinely loved this power. He wanted to understand it.

Unfortunately, the system had never given him an answer. Or perhaps it didn't know either. It only knew that this power belonged to its creator, and that it could simulate all foreseeable forces.

Noah sighed and stopped thinking about it.

This was not something he could control right now.

It was too terrifying. Enough to make him uneasy.

He focused his mind.

The silver power began to condense.

Then it swelled even further.

Its shape grew increasingly familiar.

Roar!

A deafening dragon roar echoed through the arena as a massive figure materialized.

Noah's expression darkened slightly.

He hadn't expected his first opponent to be a dragon.

And not just any dragon.

As the silver power finished transforming, Noah's pupils contracted.

This dragon carried Tier 9 power fluctuations.

That meant it was exactly equivalent to Noah in human form. And since the system had fixed the opponent's level, it also meant Noah was restricted from using Dragonborn magic.

"What a pity."

"I was planning to try dragon-on-dragon combat."

Noah sighed lightly.

Golden light spread across his body. Black runes rotated endlessly around him.

The dragon before him was silver.

Its body wasn't particularly massive, but it looked agile from head to tail. Scales covered its entire form, gleaming like cold silver armor.

It didn't feel oppressive.

It felt sharp.

Like a blade drawn halfway from its sheath.

In Noah's memory, different dragon colors corresponded to different abilities. Silver dragons were usually associated with light, ice, or assassin-type spatial powers.

Just by looking at it, Noah had already judged its specialization.

Especially when it appeared before him in an instant.

Noah dodged effortlessly with space magic.

His judgment was confirmed.

Its speed was terrifying. Faster than any dragon Noah could become himself.

This was clearly an agile, flexible combatant.

"Hm?"

The moment Noah dodged, his expression turned grim.

He activated space magic again.

The dragon followed like a shadow.

After several exchanges, Noah finally broke free from its lock.

For the first time.

"Spatial power... truly unpredictable."

Noah frowned.

His first opponent was already this troublesome.

But that only made things more interesting.

Powerful. Fast. Skilled in space.

There was only one existence Noah associated with that combination.

His teacher.

The Ancient One.

"The combat style is different. The body shape too."

"But it's close enough."

"A powerful imaginary enemy."

Noah felt a flicker of excitement, but quickly suppressed it.

The silver dragon roared and attacked again.

Noah reacted instantly.

An ice wall thicker than a city wall erupted before him.

At the same time, his figure vanished behind it.

Silver lightning struck the wall.

There was no violent impact.

The dragon appeared behind the ice wall as thick mist burst outward.

As the mist dissipated, a massive hollow was revealed.

This was not ordinary ice.

It was ever-frozen ice, nearly as hard as diamond, cast by a Tier 9 mage. As long as Noah maintained output, its durability was terrifying.

He had only used this level of magic against angels.

This time, it was even stronger.

A full-power strike from an ordinary Tier 9 would struggle to penetrate it.

Yet the silver dragon didn't use spatial power.

It relied purely on its body and speed to carve through.

Noah's face grew solemn.

And at the same time-

More excited.

In this universe, Noah rarely fought without restraint.

Either the enemy was too weak, or he had to hold back to avoid destroying everything around him.

It was stifling.

On Earth, Tier 9 powerhouses existed, but who would fight him to the death? They could live for thousands of years. If bored, they could simply leave the planet.

Who would risk everything without a grudge?

Especially with a terrifying existence possibly standing behind Noah.

No one dared provoke him.

That was why this moment mattered.

An equal opponent.

A battle without restraint.

That alone was worth more than any amount of wealth.

The system was a treasure.

Noah almost laughed at himself.

Why had he always limited himself to a single opponent before?

Suppressing his excitement, his expression returned to calm.

He raised the Star of Time and Space slightly.

Golden light flickered.

Then he stepped forward.

The silver dragon, missing its first strike, unleashed its spatial power.

Its massive body moved freely through space, launching a relentless storm of attacks.

Spatial traversal.

Spatial imprisonment.

Spatial traps.

Strange and lethal techniques erupted around Noah.

Noah gave no ground.

His mastery of spatial magic wasn't high, but this dragon was another teacher.

A very good one.

He countered continuously, learning as he fought.

Space magic was eerie.

But Noah's learning ability was terrifying.

Knowledge was a mage's greatest weapon.

That statement had never been truer.

Even if the dragon was simulated, the space magic it used was real. That made it easier to observe, understand, and imitate.

The essence differed.

But unlike light magic, space magic could be grasped.

Noah understood its principles. He had the foundation.

He only needed to simulate and cast it.

In the dim system space, Noah and the silver dragon clashed like rival masters of space.

Or perhaps the original master was being challenged.

Spatial attacks vanished into black holes.

Deadly techniques pierced barriers and appeared beside Noah-only to reappear behind the dragon the next instant.

Mysterious.

Eerie.

Space itself bent and twisted as Noah and the silver dragon displayed its full terror.
