Thinking takes time, especially for someone like Charles.
Charles was not alone. He was still regarded as the spiritual leader of mutants, and every decision he made carried immense weight-especially now, when mutants truly could not do without him.
His strength and prestige among mutants were simply too high. Erik could not compare.
Because of that, Charles had to carefully consider what kind of variables his decision would bring to mutantkind. He was not like Thor.
Thor had Odin behind him. Thor himself was confident, and he had many places to guard. Power was something he genuinely needed.
Those responsibilities were inherent. Thor had only hesitated because of something his father once said. He was never truly opposed to that kind of power.
So he did not need much time before accepting it.
Charles was different.
Noah gave Charles time to think. Noah himself still had things he needed to handle.
For example, he needed to further develop the power of the domain-how to use it, how to maximize it, rather than simply relying on it for spellcasting.
He also needed to understand how far ninth-tier power could truly be pushed. Every time Noah advanced, he needed to properly adapt to his strength within the system space.
That usually meant finding a suitable opponent and having a proper sparring session.
Power needed adaptation. Noah understood this well and never slackened in that regard.
Even so, one thing continued to vex him.
His light power.
This was probably the most frustrating concern Noah had faced so far.
"If I had known this, why was I so eager to create 'Dragonborn' magic back then?"
At times, Noah would complain that he had indeed been too hasty.
Haste was not a good thing.
But after thinking it through, he did not regret it.
Without Dragonborn magic as a trump card, Noah would not have dared to roam around recklessly.
Dragonborn magic had created a terrifying dragon for him, giving him room to act in dangerous situations.
This time, his dragon form had directly reached the tenth tier.
That alone made the entire project worth researching.
The tenth tier was a wondrous stage. Noah was genuinely interested in this level of strength.
Especially in the feeling of standing on the boundary between "god and mortal."
And just how far the "god" stage could elevate life.
Shaking his head, Noah decisively abandoned the thought.
His own tenth-tier power was still in an "unexplored" state, let alone the true "transcendent" stage beyond it.
After returning to the Sanctuary, Noah met everyone inside. Once he confirmed everything was fine, he announced that he would be meditating for a period of time.
"I gained unimaginable rewards from this long journey," he said. "I need time to thoroughly familiarize myself with and adapt to my power."
"In simple terms," Wong said, "you found another excuse to be lazy?"
The only one who could speak like that was obviously Wong.
There were not many people in the London Sanctuary.
Including Noah, there were just over twenty people-Madam Heffy, Wong, and Dennis served as the main administrators.
Then there was Jason. He did not stay in the Sanctuary often, but he unquestionably belonged to it.
There were also Cassandra, Lily Snape, and a large group of apprentices.
Noah's Sanctuary did not have many people, but everyone inside was highly capable.
The weakest were the younger apprentices. Those children, selected from Madam Heffy's orphanage years ago, were now all at least fourth-tier.
Among the administrators, Madam Heffy was already sixth-tier-the same level Dumbledore had been at when he defeated Voldemort.
Dennis was also sixth-tier, but he had reached the peak and could step into the seventh tier at any time.
Few in number.
High in quality.
Wong, the strongest among them, was at seventh tier, eighth level. As Noah's fellow student who had grown up alongside him, he naturally dared to speak so casually.
Besides, based on past experience, he was not wrong.
"It's really not laziness," Noah said, spreading his hands. "I unexpectedly crossed into the ninth tier."
The room went silent.
"What?" Wong froze.
Everyone present was shocked.
The ninth tier was no joke. This level surpassed ninety-nine percent of sorcerers.
The remaining one percent were either at Noah's level or at the Ancient One's stage.
In other words, if Noah chose to go independent right now and establish his own magical organization, he would instantly become a top-tier force.
Even seventh-tier Noah would have been formidable.
But ninth tier?
That deterrence was terrifying.
Aside from the Sorcerer Supreme, Noah had no real opponents left.
His growth rate was simply too fast.
"How is that possible..." Wong muttered. "You only reached the eighth tier not long ago..."
"That's exactly why I need to meditate," Noah replied. "Growing too fast can cause problems."
"Can I take that as you showing off?"
"No," Noah said calmly. "I just got lucky and gained something. That's all."
It was the truth.
Before this, Noah had not expected to gain so much from Ego.
Unfortunately, no one seemed inclined to believe him.
To be fair, if someone said that to Noah, he would probably think the same.
Realizing this, Noah did not explain further. After making the necessary arrangements, he returned to his room.
It was as clean as ever.
Madam Heffy and Lily had clearly been cleaning it regularly.
The familiarity made Noah feel at ease.
Breathing in the faint fragrance lingering in the room, Noah slowly fell into thought.
He needed to decide what to do first.
Fully adapting to his strength was important.
Experiencing tenth-tier power was equally important.
As for maximizing the domain, that could be done alongside adaptation.
Noah rubbed his chin.
In the end, he decided to ask the system.
Compared to someone fumbling in the dark, the system-personally created by a great being-was clearly more experienced.
Calming his mind, Noah entered the system space.
It remained dim. Aside from the constantly jumping elements, everything looked unchanged.
"System," Noah said, "what's the approximate upper limit of this domain?"
He did not waste words.
The system disliked small talk, and Noah was the same.
To truly unleash the domain's full power, he needed a clear answer.
"You will need to test it yourself," the system replied. "Even I cannot determine its exact upper limit. This is the first domain I have encountered."
After a brief pause, it continued.
"However, it has the potential to evolve into something far greater. Perhaps a universe. Perhaps a world."
Its voice remained mechanical and calm.
Noah was used to it.
The system's high evaluation did not surprise him. He had long considered this possibility.
And as the true integrator of the domain, the system's assessment carried weight.
"Can combat help me understand the domain better?" Noah asked. "Familiarize myself with my strength. Push it as far as possible."
"Of course."
Noah nodded.
The system agreed.
The benefits of actual combat were obvious.
Noah had understood this since childhood. He had never been averse to fighting.
On the contrary, he welcomed it.
Without hesitation, he decided to master his abilities through real combat and further develop his domain that way.
As for experiencing the tenth tier?
That was not an issue.
First, Noah did not believe his human form could not reach the tenth tier.
His physique was constantly improving. Even if it was slow, he would get there eventually.
Just look at Carol.
She could match Thanos wielding six Infinity Stones through sheer physicality.
Noah did not believe he could not reach that step.
Second, the energy from the Cosmic Cube was still continuously enhancing his body and level.
It would take time.
But not too much time.
Combined with his rapidly increasing magic power and terrifying learning speed, the ninefold external time advantage allowed Noah to do almost anything.
He had always been disciplined in using that time-studying, honing his skills.
He had no bottlenecks.
His physique did not either.
With sufficient knowledge, magic power, physical strength, and a massive reserve of energy waiting to be digested, how could he fail to reach the tenth tier?
And in Noah's mind, the tenth tier was never the end.
As a transmigrator, he had ambitions of his own.
Especially now.
He looked forward to truly experiencing the difference between "god and mortal."
Even self-eternity.
