Chapter 502 - Chapter 502: Ninth Tier

After that, Noah simply sat beside Charles and watched the rough cut of X-Men: The Last Stand with him.

Honestly, Noah thought it was very good.

The actors were different from what he remembered-aside from the protagonist, almost everything felt unfamiliar.

But the story itself was still the original one.

And the most interesting thing about this movie-really, about the entire X-Men series-was that the actors themselves were mutants.

Even the director and cinematographer were mutants.

The sheer luxury of it was honestly a bit terrifying.

"A very good movie," Noah said after it ended. "Honestly, although I'm not sure, something like this might really happen one day."

"Indeed. Who can say?" Charles smiled and sighed. "If it weren't for your appearance."

"But Erik isn't always the villain."

"But most of the time he is," Charles replied. "And most of the time, he fails."

That was just how it worked.

To increase the difficulty for the protagonists, to fill the story with twists and setbacks, someone had to take on that role.

That way, when the protagonists finally succeeded, it felt more impressive. More resonant.

Unfortunately, Erik often ended up playing that part.

He played it personally.

It felt real. Too real.

And it made him understandably annoyed. Anyone would be, if they kept trying new things and failing every time.

"Speaking of Erik, I just remembered something," Charles said suddenly. "Didn't you say he has two children as well?"

"Yes." Noah nodded. "If nothing unexpected happens, we should meet them next year."

More precisely, in a few months-if Noah decided to take them.

He had actually been planning to bring them out for some activity. Take his Ark people with him.

Events like Age of Ultron probably wouldn't happen anymore.

Ultron had appeared because Tony believed Earth needed protection, and the Avengers needed oversight.

But now, Tony could hardly be considered an ordinary human. Sorcerers were also protecting Earth. Government regulation was basically impossible.

If that idea never appeared, then Ultron wouldn't either.

Without Ultron, civil war might not even happen.

There might still be issues between Tony and Steve.

To this day, Noah hadn't heard of Steve taking Bucky to apologize.

Even if someone was mind-controlled, they still killed someone's parents. An apology was still necessary.

Whether Tony would accept it was another matter.

That was all future business. Noah didn't care to manage it.

What he cared about now was resurrection magic.

Cassandra had described the Underworld to him in detail. Noah had also confirmed its existence through exploration.

Unfortunately, the Underworld seemed to have been ruled by the Isu. Their departure led to its collapse.

That troubled Noah.

Did he really have to go to Japan or something?

Contact the local Ministry of Magic? Ask if ninja villages existed? Look for parallel universes?

He shook his head.

That was a last resort. A truly desperate option.

Honestly, if a ninth-tier Noah went to a world full of ninjas...

Wouldn't he just become the biggest villain there?

"Next year?" Charles asked.

He had no idea what Noah had been thinking about. After a moment, he continued, "Then when the time comes, shall we go together? I'd like to see Erik's children as well."

"Of course." Noah smiled. "We'll go together. Those two little ones might need some serious discipline."

"Sounds like they're not very well-behaved," Charles laughed. "Erik and I will figure something out. If not, we can always turn to you, right?"

"It won't be very comfortable at my place," Noah spread his hands. "But it's an option. They're not very obedient, but their talent is excellent. Even though I haven't met them, I've seen their future achievements-and some not-so-good things."

The not-so-good thing was Quicksilver's death.

But that wouldn't happen anymore.

Vision wouldn't appear either.

The Mind Stone would never be given to a robot. Jarvis was best left as Jarvis.

There was no need for him to become Vision.

"Not-so-good things?" Charles frowned, then relaxed. "You'll have a solution, I assume?"

"Of course." Noah stood up with a smile. "I'm Noah Finnell. Keep it up. You're improving quickly, but you're still a bit short. And think carefully about the gem. I'm also looking forward to your next movie. It's very good."

"It is. It's all your script. I think it'll make a lot of money."

"Of course," Noah said. "Isn't that what making movies is for?"
