Chapter 527 - Chapter 527: Different Universes, Different Stories

"So, you're from a parallel universe? And you're here to help us?"

Sitting beside the time machine, Tony pressed an ice pack to his head while studying the three people in front of him.

Behind him stood the Avengers. Even Nebula was standing quietly, without making any unusual movements.

"More or less," Noah shrugged. "That said, you really do look old, Tony."

The Tony in front of him did look old.

Grey hair. A tired, worn-down expression. He looked more than twenty years older than the Tony from Noah's world.

But thinking about it, it wasn't strange.

This Tony wasn't a sorcerer, and the experiences of this universe had been far too brutal.

"Getting old isn't that strange," Tony sighed, then asked, "Are you from 2012?"

"No," Noah answered directly. "We're from 2016. We all had our own matters to handle, so we delayed our departure by four years."

2016.

2017.

The moment that year was mentioned, the Avengers froze.

That was the year of the Civil War.

The year Peter Parker appeared.

After that year, Asgard fell.

And the year after that, Thanos arrived.

It was the last calm before the storm.

After that came endless tragedy.

The room fell silent.

Even Fat Thor tried to speak a few times, but the words stuck in his throat.

"You don't need to look like that," Noah said, glancing at their expressions. He immediately understood what they were thinking.

They wanted to warn him about the future, but were afraid of disrupting the fate of an entire universe.

So they hesitated.

It was a little amusing.

Noah even wondered if the time calibration had been slightly off. Maybe he should've arrived ten minutes later.

Shaking his head, he looked directly at Banner.

"Our universe is different from yours. I think Dr. Banner understands that better than anyone."

"Yes," Banner nodded, then sighed. "It's astonishing. And... enviable."

"What did you see over there?" Tony immediately asked.

To be honest, he hadn't expected such a massive flaw in his machine.

Banner had been separated from them and thrown into a completely unknown universe.

How could Tony not be unhappy about that?

By his standards, this was a failed experiment.

"Let me explain," Noah said, smiling faintly as he looked at the curious Avengers. "Our universe is different from yours. For one thing, we have a large number of powerful sorcerers."

"That's it?" Tony looked at him strangely. "We have sorcerers too. Strange-wait. Is Strange your Sorcerer Supreme?"

"No," Noah spread his hands. "He just broke his hands and is still seeking treatment. The Sorcerer Supreme in our universe isn't him. If nothing unexpected happens, it should be me."

As he spoke, Noah raised his right hand slightly.

In the next instant, a green gem floated into view.

The Time Stone.

After Infinity War and everything that followed, everyone present knew exactly what it was.

The appearance of the gem made their hearts stir.

Because it meant something crucial.

All six Infinity Stones were now present.

With them, they could snap their fingers and restore the universe to the moment before Thanos destroyed it.

"It seems... you really are the Sorcerer Supreme," Tony said. He was clearly excited, though he tried to suppress it.

"Not yet," Noah smiled.

He didn't return the Time Stone to his Star of Space-Time, leaving it floating as he spoke calmly. "I haven't officially taken the position, but it shouldn't be far off."

"Alright. Congratulations, Sorcerer Supreme," Tony nodded. "Then let me ask-since Banner met you and was deeply impressed, did you participate in the Battle of New York in your universe?"

"Yes," Noah nodded. "Not just me. All the Ministries of Magic participated."

Seeing the Time Stone seemed to relax Tony significantly.

He was also becoming curious about Noah's universe.

And Noah didn't mind explaining.

That universe really was very different.

Talking about it also helped shift the mood.

After all, the moment Noah arrived, he had noticed someone was missing.

He could feel the grief in the room.

They simply didn't want to show it in front of outsiders.

"Ministry of Magic?" Steve frowned. "What's that?"

"Every country has its own magical world," Noah explained. "That's where sorcerers live. And when there are that many sorcerers, management becomes necessary. That's why the Ministry of Magic exists."

"Wow," Scott tilted his head. "So... functional departments?"

"Yes," Noah nodded. "We also have law enforcement. Sorcerers exist to protect Earth, so organized deployment is normal."

With that explanation, the Avengers began to understand just how different Noah's universe was.

The number of sorcerers.

Their quality.

And Banner's firsthand account.

All of it painted a terrifying picture.

Terrifying.

That was the only word echoing in their minds.

Terrifying power.

Terrifying numbers.

And the most terrifying part-

The calm young man standing in front of them.

From Banner's description, they already knew that this man had single-handedly wiped out the entire Chitauri army.

It was hard to imagine.

That army had nearly overwhelmed them back then.

But Noah had led sorcerer troops to intercept the invasion directly.

Not a single civilian casualty.

Even if Manhattan had nearly sunk-

So what?

How could economic loss compare to human lives?

At this moment, the Avengers couldn't help but feel envious.

Their universes were similar.

Yet completely different.

"Loki, can you stop circling that fat ball?"

As Noah continued speaking with the stunned Avengers, Loki kept walking around Fat Thor in circles.

A wicked grin was plastered on his face.

He was clearly enjoying himself.

Not because of some bad habit-

But because he was taking pictures.

This was too good to miss.

Seeing Thor like this made Loki absurdly happy.

Even though he was here to deal with Thanos and temper himself, how could he pass up something this entertaining?

"It's fine, it's fine," Fat Thor said, not showing any displeasure.

He knew Loki was probably doing something questionable.

But his eyes were already starting to redden.

Six years ago, Loki had died for him.

He had lost his brother forever.

When he went to retrieve the Reality Stone earlier, he hadn't even dared to see Loki.

And now-

A living Loki stood right in front of him.

How could he not feel emotional?

Even if this Loki wasn't from his universe.

Even if he wasn't the one who died for him.

He was still Loki.

"See? Even this Thor doesn't object," Loki said smugly, still mocking him. "That said, you're really fat. Is your body made of cream?"

"No," Fat Thor chuckled. "It's full of divine power."

He had endured too much.

Ordinary provocation barely moved him anymore.

He was genuinely happy.

So happy that he even grabbed the flesh on his stomach and shook it twice.

"Damn it! How could I become like this?" Thor blurted out, suddenly feeling the urge to rush over and strangle him.

"No. You shouldn't," Fat Thor replied calmly. "Just remember this-if you ever get the chance to kill Thanos, don't hesitate. Don't try to torture him slowly."

"I know your story," Thor interrupted. After a brief pause, he said firmly, "If I meet him, I'll cut off his head with my axe."

"Very good-wait. Axe?" Fat Thor blinked. "Stormbreaker?"

"Yes. Why?"

"Damn it. It's only 2016 in your universe. How do you already have Stormbreaker? And what about Hela?"

"Our worlds are different," Thor replied. "With Noah's help, I already have Stormbreaker. As for Hela-she should still be sealed."
