Chapter 533 - Chapter 533: The Last Time My Hair Disappeared

"You want to fight me?"

Noah looked at the "fat" Thor with a baffled expression.

He genuinely couldn't understand what was going on in this guy's head. Was it filled with cheese sauce too?

Why would Thor want to fight him?

This battle felt completely unnecessary.

First, Noah wasn't Thanos. He didn't think he'd trigger Thor's battle instincts.

Second, there was no conflict between them. No hostility. No grudges.

And most importantly-

Thor wasn't even at his peak right now.

To be honest, Noah didn't think a Thor who hadn't fully recovered stood much of a chance against him.

What kind of opponents had Noah been facing lately?

All of them were monsters who wielded complete domains.

Just thinking about those fights still made Noah feel uneasy.

However, when he looked up and saw Thor's eyes burning with fighting spirit-

And the Avengers and sorcerers around them already stepping back, clearly ready to watch-

Noah felt that fighting wouldn't hurt.

It was a good opportunity.

A chance to experience this universe's power system.

And to verify exactly why tenth-tier Thanos had lost to them.

After a moment of thought, Noah asked curiously, "Since you already have the Infinity Stones, why don't you snap your fingers and revive everyone who needs to be revived?"

"Because the gauntlet isn't ready yet," Tony replied helplessly.

"We got Thanos's severed arm, but the gauntlet itself was completely destroyed. We need to make a new one that can actually hold those powers."

"I see." Noah nodded.

In the original story, this part had been glossed over.

Now it made sense.

All of this took time.

Nebula also needed time to locate the coordinates of her own timeline.

Even transmitting information wasn't instant.

After all, it had taken Noah a long time to arrive in this universe too-he just hadn't felt it.

Even shortcuts through the Quantum Realm weren't truly fast.

Noah sighed.

"Looks like this fight can't be avoided."

"You sound eager," Fat Thor said excitedly.

"I'm really curious about your magic."

Noah glanced around.

The Avengers and sorcerers had already retreated to a safe distance.

Even Thor and Loki-his Thor and Loki-were standing off to the side, smiling.

This was happening.

Noah wasn't afraid of fighting.

He let his magic rise naturally.

"Alright," he said calmly.

"Come on."

"...Don't you need some distance? Or preparation?" Fat Thor hesitated.

"Why would I?" Noah tilted his head.

"I'm a sorcerer. Not an archer or a sniper."

"Oh." Thor nodded.

"Don't worry. I won't go too hard."

Won't go too hard.

Noah smiled.

For some reason, that line felt very familiar.

As divine power surged, Stormbreaker hummed.

Thor's familiar armor reformed around his body.

His messy beard and long hair braided themselves into a cleaner style.

For a moment, Noah felt like he'd returned to their first meeting four years ago.

"It's fine," Noah said politely-perhaps mockingly.

"Go all out."

The moment Tony saw that smile, his instincts screamed.

Something was wrong.

He turned to Thor.

"Is he mocking him?"

"Pretty much," Thor replied with a shrug.

"He really is the me of this world. When I first met Noah, I said the exact same thing."

"How did that fight go?" Tony asked.

"I lost." Thor paused.

"Didn't even get to fight properly."

They weren't speaking loudly, but everyone nearby heard them.

Wong raised an eyebrow.

He was genuinely curious about the combat strength of this Sorcerer Supreme from another universe.

Then-

Thor roared.

Lightning erupted.

His eyes turned silver, thunder raging around his body as he charged forward.

Seeing the power Fat Thor unleashed, Noah didn't underestimate him.

A faint golden glow wrapped around Noah.

Black, unfamiliar runes began revolving around his body.

With a simple raise of his hand, space itself became distorted.

Hazy.

Unstable.

Thor swung Stormbreaker and rushed forward-

And in the next instant, he was charging in the opposite direction.

"Huh?"

Thor froze, staring at the trees in front of him.

He turned around.

Noah was still standing where he'd been.

Thor charged again.

Another blur.

This time, he found himself facing a line of Avengers, all staring at him in shock.

Even Fat Thor realized immediately what was happening.

This was exactly like when he'd dealt with Strange on Earth years ago.

Noah's mastery of space left the Avengers stunned.

Even the Kamar-Taj sorcerers were visibly shaken.

But Thor didn't panic.

He had plenty of combat experience.

Without hesitation, he hurled Stormbreaker straight at Noah.

Both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir could be thrown.

They tracked their targets.

Even inside spatial mazes, they could find their way back.

They could guide Thor to the correct path.

Noah raised an eyebrow.

Interesting.

But not concerning.

In the blink of an eye, Noah's body turned phantom-like.

Stormbreaker passed straight through him.

No impact.

No resistance.

Noah vanished.

Then reappeared in his original spot.

This time, Stormbreaker itself looked... unreal.

Thor reached out.

Stormbreaker flew back toward him.

And Noah was standing directly between them.

To everyone's shock, the axe passed straight through Noah's body again-

As if he didn't exist-

Before landing in Thor's hand.

"...Huh?"

Thor's expression shifted.

Then it hardened completely.

He couldn't feel Stormbreaker at all.

It was in his hand-

But it was like holding nothing.

"What's happening?"

The Avengers were stunned.

They instinctively looked toward Thor and Loki.

But Wong spoke first.

"It seems this Sorcerer Supreme has reached an extremely high level of understanding of spatial power," Wong said calmly.

"He can replace, distort, reinforce, and rewrite space at will."

"What does that even mean?" someone asked.

Wong continued, explaining what they were seeing.

"The Mirror Dimension."

That name clicked immediately.

"You can see the axe," Wong said, "but you'll never be able to touch it. He's already transferred it into a parallel spatial layer."

Fear crept into the Avengers' expressions.

No matter how much you struggle-

No matter how strong you are-

You can't escape the cage he builds.

And this was just one application of spatial magic.

Who knew what else he could do?

"Damn it!" Thor roared, frustration boiling over.

"Is this all you can do?"

Noah tilted his head.

"Isn't that how sorcerers fight?"

He shrugged.

"These are the simplest methods. Honestly, you should be glad. When I deal with the Thor from our universe, I usually don't bother with this."

"Hey!" Thor shouted from the side.

"Are you looking down on him?"

"Not really," Noah replied calmly.

"It's just unnecessary."

He snapped his fingers.

Thor felt weight return to his hand.

"Here," Noah said lightly.

"Your weapon's back. Let's play something more interesting."

Golden light flared again.

Black runes spun faster around Noah.

This time, Noah wasn't planning to rely on spatial power.

Because if he did-

This Thor wouldn't stand a chance at all.

That was good information.

But not enough.

Noah needed more data.

He needed to understand why the Ancient One believed they had a chance against Thanos.

He had his suspicions.

But he needed confirmation.

Noah smiled at the still-recovering Fat Thor.

The next moment-

Flames surged.

A massive fire dragon began forming in the sky.

Its wings stretched wide.

Its eyes burned with ferocity.

The heat distorted the air itself.

The Avengers broke into a sweat instantly.

It was unbearably hot.

Even Thor felt the pressure.

His lightning flared more violently in response.

After a long silence, the Thor who'd come with Noah muttered quietly,

"I suddenly feel like that guy's hair won't survive."

"What?" Loki looked at him, confused.

"Last time I fought Noah," Thor said seriously,

"he did exactly this."

He glanced at the fire dragon.

"That's how my hair ended up like this."

"...Wow," Loki said after a pause.

"I'm suddenly really looking forward to it."
