Chapter 532 - Chapter 532: Thor's Thoughts

The Wong of this universe was momentarily speechless after Noah's words.

The fact that Noah could casually mention Mordo already showed how familiar they were.

Add to that Noah's calm, benevolent demeanor, plus the presence of the Avengers-and especially the "fat" Thor-and Wong had basically confirmed that Noah wasn't lying.

There was no doubt anymore.

With a muscular, well-built Thor standing beside Noah, sharing the same power signature as the obese one, if Wong still couldn't tell the difference, he might as well resign.

With a casual wave of his hand, Wong signaled the Kamar-Taj sorcerers to lower their guard.

That single action made it clear how much authority he held.

Wong looked at the approaching Avengers, then at the "fat" Thor, and sighed helplessly.

"Honestly," he said, "you don't look like the God of Thunder at all."

"How could anyone be more worthy of the title 'God of Thunder' than me?" the "fat" Thor snapped, clearly irritated. "Do you know what flows through my veins?"

"Cheese sauce?" Wong asked flatly. "Or beer?"

He sniffed Thor with open disdain.

"Besides, you're the same person across parallel universes. The blood in your veins is the same. But others still carry the bloodline of the God of Thunder. You've clearly... changed."

Noah looked at Wong in surprise.

He hadn't expected this version of Wong to be so sharp-tongued.

The Avengers burst out laughing.

It was obvious they knew each other well. They had probably crossed paths more than once over the past five years.

Thinking about it, that made sense.

As for why they hadn't been called in to gather the Infinity Stones, Noah figured they simply weren't that close.

After all, Strange himself wasn't close to the Avengers either. Their first meeting had been a direct confrontation with Ebony Maw.

"Alright, that's enough," Wong said quickly, seeing Thor about to retort. He turned to Noah instead. "So you're the successor to the Sorcerer Supreme? What about Strange?"

"In my timeline, Strange just broke his hands," Noah shrugged. "He's probably still running around desperately seeking treatment."

"Oh?" Wong's eyes lit up. "Then the Ancient One is still alive? And Kaecilius-what's that guy up to?"

Seeing Wong's expression, Noah understood immediately.

The Ancient One's death had clearly left a deep mark on him.

What couldn't be changed in his own universe, he hoped wouldn't repeat elsewhere.

Noah chuckled softly.

"Don't worry. The Ancient One is fine. Even in your universe, she's perfectly fine. I won't explain why-you'll know when the time comes. As for Kaecilius..."

Noah sneered.

"I noticed him early on. The only reason I didn't deal with him immediately was because of the bond between fellow disciples, and because the Ancient One had her own arrangements."

In Noah's universe, the Ancient One normally wouldn't reveal much about herself.

But with Noah's involvement, things had shifted slightly.

Those changes had little to do with this universe.

As for Kaecilius, both Mordo and Victor were watching him closely.

If he dared pull anything, he wouldn't even last until Noah returned.

Noah had left far too many safeguards for that.

Wong studied Noah, struck by his confidence.

This version of the world felt very different from the one he knew.

Then, suddenly, Wong's expression changed.

"Where's your Eye of Agamotto?"

"Oh. The Time Stone?" Noah replied casually. "I gave it to them. That was one of my missions here."

He said "one of" very softly.

So softly that even Thor and Loki barely caught it.

Wong didn't notice the muttering.

He looked to Tony and the others for confirmation.

They nodded.

That was enough.

Wong's last trace of doubt vanished, and his attitude toward Noah shifted entirely.

Being able to obtain the Time Stone meant only one thing.

Noah was a sorcerer recognized by the Ancient One.

Even across universes, some rules didn't change.

Wong stepped back and bowed slightly.

The Kamar-Taj sorcerers followed suit.

The sudden formality caught Noah off guard.

But he adjusted quickly.

He was used to this kind of treatment. In his own universe, nearly every magical realm reacted the same way.

Thor and Loki didn't find it strange at all.

To them, it was expected.

"What a lucky guy," the "fat" Thor muttered, pouting. "Getting recognized here too."

He knew how arrogant these sorcerers could be.

When he and Loki had come to Earth searching for their father, Strange had intercepted them directly.

That arrogance had been burned into his memory.

And now, Strange was gone. Only Thor remained.

"He's not lucky," Thor said, glancing sideways at his alternate self. "What he's earned matches the effort he's put in. Don't talk like that if you don't understand him."

"Huh?"

The "fat" Thor looked at his fit counterpart, confused.

Then he turned to Loki.

Loki, to his surprise, clearly agreed with Thor.

That left the "fat" Thor genuinely baffled.

He was starting to get curious.

What kind of sorcerer was Noah, exactly, to earn this kind of loyalty?

"You fought him?" the "fat" Thor asked.

"Of course."

"Oh? Then you must've beaten him plenty of times, right?"

"Beaten him?" Thor snorted. "Are you kidding? I haven't won against him once."

He shot his alternate self an annoyed look, then turned his gaze-burning with battle intent-toward Noah, who was still speaking with Wong.

Now the "fat" Thor was truly interested.

His alternate self had never defeated Noah.

Not even once.

That didn't make sense to him.

This Thor had awakened the Thor Force early.

He had Stormbreaker early.

With both, how could he lose to a seemingly thin sorcerer?

The curiosity grew.

And with it, a new idea.

The Infinity Stones had been gathered.

Natasha's matter was resolved-at least in his mind. He firmly believed she could simply be resurrected with the Stones, unaware that souls erased by them couldn't be restored.

But that didn't matter now.

What mattered was that forging a new gauntlet would take time.

So why not use that time?

Why not see for himself what kind of sorcerer Noah really was?

The one his alternate self admired.

The one he had never beaten.

The excitement bubbled up.

The "fat" Thor had suffered countless losses.

Friends. Family.

But now, with things finally moving toward resolution, he felt lighter.

Even his long-dormant battle spirit began to stir.

He raised his hand.

In an instant, two Stormbreakers flew toward him.

Along with a hammer.

The "fat" Thor froze, stunned.

Then he looked awkwardly at the furious Thor beside him.

"Uh... sorry about that."

"You'd better explain yourself," Thor growled.

"I didn't expect your axe to come too," the "fat" Thor said sheepishly. "But yours seems heavier."

"Nonsense," Thor snapped. "Didn't you notice our grips are different?"

Thor was getting dizzy dealing with this version of himself.

Luckily, this idiot hadn't mastered the Power Stone.

Otherwise, would he be able to summon that too?

Thor raised his hand sharply.

Stormbreaker flew back to him.

If the "fat" Thor hadn't grabbed on tightly, not just his own Stormbreaker, but also the axe and hammer would have been pulled away.

Different universes.

Same person.

Same bloodline.

Same power.

Weapon recognition didn't care about universes.

Thor already knew what this obese version of himself was thinking.

And honestly, he was curious too.

This "fat" Thor had once reached the peak.

Tenth tier.

Even if he had regressed badly, the gap between them might not be as wide as it looked.

Thor accepted Earth sorcerers' ranking standards.

He knew both Noah and this Thor were at the ninth tier.

That was exactly why he was curious.

If they were at the same rank...

Who was stronger?

Thor didn't warn Noah.

Not at all.

"Maybe this fat guy can avenge me," Thor thought. "That would still count as Thor beating Noah... wouldn't it?"
