"Thanks for the report, Mythmalos. Also, if it's not too much of a hassle, could you please get me some..."
Trailing near the end, Duncan saw that the Elf's expression was not looking too well. He knew that if he finished his sentence, he'd be in for an ass-whooping and a half. "No need for the trouble, just go back, and finish... whatever the fuck you were doing. Thanks pal, cheerio!"
Slam!
Slamming the door shut, Duncan wiped the sweat off his brows. Turning back, he waved the papers in front of him. "Guys, Mytho brought us our financial report for this month. Let's see, how good is– oh, oh no..."
Face darkening, Duncan frowned at the dire situation written in the report.
Goblina, twirling a brush on top of her lips, saw the change in Duncan. "Hey brother, what happened?"
Glancing at the naive Goblin, Duncan gravely reported what was written. "We may have managed to increase production to around 500,000 packs per day, but we're starting to run into a deficit. Hell, if nothing's done soon, we're gonna go bankrupt!"
Now having grabbed their attention, Duncan sat back down, slumped over his chair. "In order to know where we fucked up, we must know where we are at on our respective fields. Since I've already begun talking, I'll go first."
Taking a stack of papers from his bag, he tapped them on the table, before reading through them. "Mhmm, first online agenda: The Jaffa cake factory has managed to increase production exponentially, increasing from a measly 10,000 packs per day to 500,000 packs, no thanks to our generous donor, Crimson Craft Ltd. They have generously donated the facilities needed to quickly expand our production range to an exponential degree, yet our costs are still bloody high!"
With a giant slam, Duncan nearly shattered the expensive Mahoucany table in half. Seeing their frightened faces (Minus Titus, he's always stoic whatever the situation), Duncan got the inkling that maybe, maybe, he had gone too far. Taking deep breaths, he continued on.
"Now, thanks to the fact that we've managed to tweak the Union Treaty on our end safely, we've managed to decrease the cost for hiring those bloody Spirits by 90%. This has allowed me to realise the concept of vertical farming, growing the Kako trees, wheat, and other raw materials freely without wasting too much space or labour. The Earth Gnomes help us to keep the soil nutrition level adequate, leaving us with lower costs for fertiliser. But still, how on Earadun do we still have a large bloody receipt!?"
"Hey Duncan, did you, perchance, build the farms using steel...?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Huh, just curious... Anyways, shall I go next?"
"Be my guest."
Pushing back his chair, Lewis stood up, coughing his throat. "I have managed to..."
