Wearing the large hard hat, Titus surveyed the land where the refugees, correction, the 'workers', were now digging the foundation for the space center. Despite it being nearly 3 km deep, they needed to dig deeper, for underneath it would be the large laboratories where they'd house all the dangerous experiments they'd conduct to build a successful rocket.
As he looked back at the blueprints, he could not help but frown to himself. This is all fine and dandy, but what shall I do about the foundation rods!? Due to the heavy load they'll bear, if they're not strong enough, they'll collapse immediately, taking everything around a 15 km radius along with them to the underworld. Damn it, I told that little brat to put more priority on the creation of a strong and durable material, but now I get told we don't have enough funds!? I thought we had the Jaffa Cake factory for this very purpose itself!? Whatever shall I do...
Sighing, he headed towards one of the portable offices that had been laid out, wondering what today's update would be like. Oh goodie, can't wait to hear them say what new problems they have today...
Taking a deep breath, Titus lifted the cotton cover, and entered the tent. Amidst the pungent fumes emanating from their unwashed bodies, the Wulfins chattered among themselves happily, grateful for the chance to make an honest living that paid decently.
"Hey Borun, how much d'you think I'll make if I worked an extra 3 hours?"
"Dunno, never learned, watcha call it, maths. Yes, maths, fer the sake of my life. The only thing I learnt was how to make better Moonswipe and leather shoes from my old pa. But even if I make only a few extra copper coins per hour, if I save enough, I'll finally be able to send my kids to 'shkewl'. I don't want my kids to work in a place like this, they must have a better life than me..."
At this final sentence, all those who were there, whether they be Catnis or Sheeple, all agreed to his statement, whether they liked him or not. They knew that the world revolved around those who had money, and the fastest way to earn lots of money was being smart and knowledgeable. Just as they were about to continue their conversation, a loud, gruff cough broke the atmosphere.
"Mhmm. Now, can everyone please tell me what on Terra have you lot done? I have the reports about last week, but, as I've said, last week is last week. I want to know how much progress has been made regarding the excavation of the main hole. I need this to be done as quickly as possible so that we can progress onto the next step of building our foundations. So, anyone cares to update me on what they've done so far?"
They all looked at each other, before one nodded his head. Standing up, the dust-laden Wulfin scratched his head, replying to Titus's question. "Well boss, here's the thing, we're nearly done with the digging of the giant hole. But the issue here is that we've heard of some...disturbing...news through our grapevine, and we're kinda concerned on what the response from you, boss, would be like. I mean, we're earning a lot of money from all this digging, and it'd be a shame is something-"
"Quit dawdling and say what it is!"
"Well, sir, we may have found a new Dungeon..."
"Say whut now..."
