Chapter 216: Multiple Champions?

Becoming Lady Death's champion again? Domeric honestly didn't know what to say to this offer, but he would make his decision after Lady Death finished what she had to say.
"Frankly, the blessing I bestowed upon you was on the level of Death Prince, if we were to consider the power level alone. Considering the empowered versions of the White Walkers, I would have thought you would need at least that level of power to confront them comfortably." Lady Death said.
"Wow, that's quite generous of you, Death. If I recall correctly, you were waiting for someone to successfully solve the problems of at least five worlds before bestowing the title of Death Prince upon them." Lady Terra said, joining the conversation.
"Normally, that's true, but I send them to lower-level worlds first, and only after they've earned the title of Death Prince do I send them to worlds that match their power. This isn't the case with Harry, and I needed to grant him that level of power for the enemy he would face." Lady Death said.
But before he could continue, Domeric interrupted with his own question. "I don't mean to sound ungrateful. After all, this power you bestowed upon me, the Deathly Hallows tattoo, and the gifts it gave have served me well since I came to this world. But I don't think this power is strong enough to stand up to the White Walkers. At least not in its current form. Am I missing something?"
"Ah, I was actually just coming there before Terra interrupted me." Lady Deah said, and Lady Terra snorted at her.
"Harry, you can see the difference between your behavior when you first came into this world and your behavior now, right? When you came to this world, you were quick-tempered, more ruthless, and more pragmatic, weren't you? Have you ever thought about why you are like that?" Lady Death suddenly asked Domeric.
Domeric was surprised by Lady Death's sudden and off-topic question, but he nodded and said. "Yes. It was exactly as you described. Frankly, I didn't become aware of the problem until years after my arrival in this world. I thought it was a manifestation of traumatic events from my past world. Was I wrong?"
"Actually, yes, you were wrong, Harry. The main reason you behaved that way when you first arrived in this world was due to the erosion that occurred within your soul. The symptoms you have shown in the past are among the most common characteristics of minor soul injuries. But you need not worry now. Souls slowly regenerate after finding a suitable host body. Your soul is now fully healed," Lady Death said.
Domeric breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this. His past behavior had occasionally troubled him, causing him to question his character.
The fact that these actions stemmed not from his character but from a wounded soul eased the burden on his shoulders, if only slightly.
A thought occurred to him at that moment, and just as he was about to ask, Lady Death intervened.
"Yes. One of the biggest reasons why Tom Riddle became such a dark person was that he repeatedly damaged his soul by splitting it into pieces in order to create Horcruxes. However, in his case, the damage to his soul was permanent and could not be repaired over time." Lady Death answered the question on Domeric's mind.
"I see. So, he really couldn't be saved." Domeric said in a soft voice.
"No. But let's not get off topic. The reason I mentioned your soul wound was because, although I had originally granted you Death Prince-level power, your soul wasn't capable of supporting it at that time. So, I only placed a portion of the power into your soul. And I had to send the rest to you in another way." Lady Deah said.
Domeric didn't quite understand what Lady Death was talking about, and just as he was about to ask her to explain…
Lady Terra interrupted and said. "Those interventions you made later... Don't you dare... Death, don't you dare tell me you did what I think you did. You know it's against the rules. Eons ago, we lost universes because of it."
"Well, it depends on what you think," said Lady Death.
"Can someone explain to me what you're talking about?" Domeric asked, growing increasingly off topic.
"Death added the power she couldn't send with you to the souls of others and sent it to this world, with other champions. But this was forbidden eons ago. We've even witnessed the destruction of universes as a result of many champions fighting each other. That's why only one champion or blessed person can be sent to a world. For eons, no one has broken the rule. Death, what have you done?"
Lady Terra quickly explained the situation to Domeric, and Domeric turned his attention to Lady Death with lightning speed. If there truly were people in his world with the same power as him and if they turned against him, Domeric's situation in this world would be much more difficult.
"Hah, do you think I'm stupid or something, Terra? Of course, I didn't break the rule. Harry is the only person in this world who has my blessing. I didn't send any other champions or recipients of my blessing. Please don't slander me, okay?" Lady Death said. Apparently, she was a little offended by Lady Terra's accusation.
"But... but... Then how did you send the power that you couldn't send with Harry to this world? You can only send your power down to this world without it scattering by binding it with a soul. And from what I've sensed before, you've connected two more souls to this world after Harry, right?" Lady Terra asked.
"Well... The part about me later bringing two more souls into this world is true. But only one has descended into this world. The other one is still waiting. But neither of them is my champion or those I have blessed," Lady Death said, but Domeric intervened before she could say more, saying, "Could you explain it more clearly?"
"Since I couldn't send my full blessing with you because your soul was wounded, I divided the power into three and only integrated one-third with your soul. Did you notice anything unusual about the color of your tattoo when you first came into this world?" Lady Death asked.
