Chapter 1 - Prologue

Time is a constant until you move

That is something he always tough about, one can perceive time differently depending on what one sees to make of it.

Life lost meaning to him long ago, even his closes confidences saw things the same as him, they all agreed to follow him to the abyss that was the future.

Now it was over.

All of them had perished following a plan so unimaginably complicated that no mind would understand.

As it was necessary.

Now he was the only one left.

He was not sad nor angry.

He was simply being.

As he always was.

So he simply waited for the final piece in a plan, more than a century in the making.

Until finally.

*THUD

The door to his office fell to the ground with a dry sound.

In its place a man stood, wearing an armor encompassing his whole body it's appearance was a mixture of colors and words, a colorful display of ideology that was as much of a show of confidence as it was a way of sending a message.

So as the figure came into the office he started to have his last conversation in his life,

and as he did he started to walk toward the window panel of his office, one designed from the moment the building was being planned.

So as he approached the window panel, his whole body relaxed and he simply put a hand over it and with a simple push it fell, and him alongside it.

Ah

I never actually publish that book.

....

Mankind despite being separated by uncountable circumstances, distances and languages has had similarities in their cultures, namely religion.

Religion being the aspect of trying to explain the world through the divine and the whims of those beyond our realm. So religion being the fundamental pilar of civilization and culture as it was, always had one thing in common despite the difference in origin, culture, basis or intelligence.

The soul

The metaphysical representation of one self that gives life to the body that we live in. All signaled a the answer as to how we are alive, moving, thinking, feeling and many more that one may forget what they had done.

The difference that steam from there were a little more tiring to see, one says that it goes to eternal paradise if they were good, at the same time it says that being bad will lead to eternal torment, with maybe something in between.

Other talks of how all roads take to the same place of eternal slumber, another of how one can reach beyond the mortal plane, but most importantly in this case was the idea of the cycle of reincarnation.

He knew what will happen to himself after his dead. Not through any religion or belief, but simply because he found something that was not meant to be. He chose the incompressible over the unknown.

A deal made, a rest lost and a future made path.

After falling of a 120 floor building he expected anything but open his eyes.

So staring at the woman looking at him with a sweet smile on her face he had only a single emotional charge thought.

Why am I not dead?
