"But if I did, if that I did was enough … why did she die? Why did she leave me alone?"
"It's not your fault," I choke out, voice cracking. "Her death isn't because you failed her. You didn't fail her, you didn't fall short, and you are not alone. You are not alone, baby. She is still with you. Know this. You might not see her, but she is still with you."
