I take a sip of my wine, laughing as Teri goes on with the story of how they were fighting, minutes before he fell on his knees.
"It's like, once he got in that position, he saw the light, I swear, he fell down, and then it hit him: I should marry Teri!"
Everyone laughs hard again, before Kai shakes his head, trying to defend his honour.
"I didn't fall, I just knew I wanted you for the rest of my life. We were in the middle of it, Teri shouting and asking me if I was stupid, if I was using my two brain cells at all. "
"What were we even fighting about?" Teri asks him, taking a sip of his wine, food long eaten and cleared by this point.
"Something about cleanliness, and how you won't be my mom anymore ... I don't know, it was a long week, and being on tour cooped in the same bus and seeing the same faces after waking up tired and barely enough sleep, yeah things get all wiry and blended together."
