"I'm sorry," I look at my fingers on my lap. "I know this isn't something anyone wants to hear."
"That you can never love them?" he asks jokingly, even though it's tense. "That's why I asked you if liking you is enough for you. Because you liking me isn't enough to not be with Blaine. It seems selfish of me to even say that out loud, but we said we are being honest."
"Yeah," I whisper.
"I need more than a simple liking. I indulge in what I do because I need something outside of what's considered normal. It grounds me, it's a holistic practice for me, and I know you have toyed with the idea that we fuck with Blaine. And it's none of your business, but for now, I will tell you that our arrangement is purely platonic.
