When she reached her 4 month mark, the belly was coming out showing the baby's development. Making it even harder to hide it whenever going to family events or dinners. And today they were invited to have lunch at Vlad's, this made Devina a bit nervous due to their history and secondly incase he figures out that they're pregnant.
Dan felt her hesitant and worry, coming over from behind gently placing a hand over the bump whilst resting his head on top of hers.
"Just stick with me, I'll keep you safe. We'll be in the library anyway, as I've brought you some craving snacks too for you and the baby" he softly spoke slowly caressing the bump and kisses the back of their head, feeling her ease up a bit.
"I'll wear that big sweater tonight. After all tonight will be chilly, so no one will suspect a thing" Devina stated gently patting the side of his head as he immediately leaned into it, like a cat almost loving the attention she gave him. "You like that, big guy?" She added in a flirtatious tone as he deeply chuckled, taking a little nibble at their neck. "We should go and meet them at the house, so we all can go together" Devina said seeing the time as well, he took the keys and headed outside with her in hand. Locking the door after making sure everything was turned off and secure.
They scooped her up bridal style after turning into his ghost form, and took off at a easy pace to not cause stress, but she didn't mind holding onto him as they quickly approached the town. Spotting the Fenton's house they landed before entering inside, seeing the others changed in warm attire being oddly cold for spring season nearing summer.
"We're here!" Devina announced cleaning shoes on the doormat along with Dan so silently walked up behind her. His softness quickly hardening around the others, expressing intimidating guard dog energy.
"Devina!" Jazz came over and hugged her and pulled back not noticing anything suspicious, making the jumper the perfect coverup as Dan stayed close or kept an eye on Devina just in case anything dared to happen. "Just in time too. We were just about to set off" she added linking an arm with Devina's waiting for everyone else to gather their things and head out.
They walked to the manor, Devina was a bit out of breath as they had to go up a hill to reach it. Dan gently put a hand on her lower back giving some support leaving them to walk behind the others, just the two of them.
"Want me to carry you?" He whispered his eyes narrowing a little, showing his concern tempting to do it without their permission.
"It's fine, I'll just take it slow. But I appreciate the concern, love" she replied giving him a little tired smile, Dan huffed gently at this, but understood despite his worries for her current limitations. Sighing with relief once they reached the door.
Vlad opened the door after their doorbell rang, looking at everyone who had arrived. But eyes narrowed a bit at Dan, showing their still in going hatred for each other.
However, he suppressed it when spotting Devina who had her hand held around his left arm. Whilst the other had a bag carrying it seeing him grip it when noticing Vlad'd gaze.
"Come in! Dinner is almost ready" Vlad cheerfully invited them in, putting on a facade to avoid a chance of a potential good evening.
"We'll be in the library.." Dan lowly spoke leading the way to the place he always went whenever coming here with the family. Devina always followed after him, slipping her hand down to hold his hand feeling them immediately tighten it slightly in response.
"You sure it's okay to come here tonight? We can always have dinner at home, even if you don't exactly need to eat like the others. And yet you always seem to like my cooking" Devina spoke as they went into the library, the double wooden doors clicked shut behind them. It was just as Dan last saw it.
"That's because your food is editable and one of the many things I like in this world" Dan tone changed again returning back to being gentle, knowing they're alone here leading her to the sofas that surrounded a little short legged wooden table.
"I'm glad you like it" Devina chuckled sitting down on the sofas padded cushions, clearly expensive with how comfy they were on the bottom.
"Imma go grab a book to read" Dan stated gently stroking a strand of her hair, stood before them with that same look in his eyes from earlier. Intense and holding pure lust, taking everything in their power to hold back.
"I'll sit here for a little bit, having some snacks" Devina said giving a teasing smirk in return sharing that same intensity, making him gulp as his throat hitched.
"Don't test me love.. I'd take you here and now if i wanted to, but these walls are far too fin to hide the beautiful noises you make for me" his voice grew huskier slamming his hand on the back of the sofa, breathing was a little rugged as he towered over them.

"Damn it, Devina.." he growled to himself as she glanced down, noticing something a growing bump within his pants. They smirk slowly and gently grabbed it with their hand, hearing him gasp in response.

"Within the bookshelves. NOW" he growled grabbing her wrist heavily breathing, before taking her within the deep parts of the library. One of the darkest parts until reaching the very end seeing the library's wallpaper. "Dan! Devina! Dinner is over, we can go now" she called out to them, but no one answered back until eventually going in closer walking over in front of the sofa. "Awe" Jazz adored how they snuggled together asleep, not wanting to disturb them, but they weren't allowed to sleep here.
Jazz began to gently shake them up, Dan groaned behind the first to stir. Sitting up as their arm went around Devina, preventing them from falling as they're still fast asleep.
"What?.." Dan was not happy about their nap being disturbed, spitting Jazz to his left realising that dinner must've been finished. "Is dinner finally done?" He asked as Jazz nodded confirming it hearing them sigh, slowly getting up scooping Devina up with one arm as she rested against his shoulder like a sleeping toddler. While the other hand held the bag.
"You don't need any help?" Jazz asked not wanting them to over do it, but got denied as she immediately stepped back understanding where they stood. And walked with him back to the others.
"I see the beauty is asleep" Vlad teasingly spoke spotting how Dan carried them, leaving past the others in silence not wishing to stay any longer than intended.
"Old bastard.." Dan growled to himself hating Vlad more than cats hated water. He took off and flew them back to Devina's place, but when landing near the walkway he froze when seeing one of the guys that were responsible for harming Devina a few months ago.
Luckily he hadn't been spotted, gently laying Devina down in front of a nearby tree, head on top of the bag for comfort. He stood up and began to crack his joints before suddenly dashing at the dragon, immediately grabbing and pinning them against a tree with an aggressive thud.
"What are you doing here?!" Dan hissed suddenly transforming into his ghost form, Soreo the other hand was shocked and suddenly intimidated by their aggression.
"I just wanted to see her. I know she's alive" Soreo glanced over seeing the sleeping Devina, before Dan pulled and bashed them harder into the tree hearing it crack from the impact.
"I refuse to let you or that bastard anywhere near her again. Not whilst I'm still breathing!" Dan refused to believe if this guy was telling the truth, but they weren't struggling hearing the anger in their voice whenever he hears Dan talks about protecting her.
"I regret harming them that day, I mean it. She shared a familiar energy of something I use to know centuries ago before I lived beyond the mortals and immortals in my world. It made me see how cruel the royal family truly is, but I won't blame you if you killed me for what I did" Soreo seemed genuinely remorseful of what happened that night at the party, almost potentially killing Devina.
This made Dan momentarily hesitant before immediately collecting himself, glad that he had lost control compared to past events that didn't paint him as a good guy. Especially when fighting against the bad guys, the violent beats always tends to lose itself in rage whenever those they care about is hurt.
"As if I'll believe that. I went against enemies who said the same thing and never kept their promises.. most died because of it" Dan scoffed showing the lack of trust in them, glancing over at Devina ensuring she is still safe and they were. Soreo hadn't expected them to forgive him for what he was tricked to do, being hit or killed is probably worth the price for harming an innocent, defenceless soul.
"Died? You're truly the definition of a monster for sure, but being her personal boyfriend and bodyguard makes them quite the lucky lady" Soreo stated as the tree behind them collapsed, timbering backwards causing it to crash loudly jolting Devina awake.
"Who! Where!" She exclaimed panting before sighing with relief, looking around until they stopped when seeing Dan holding the man who tried to kill her months prior. "Why is he here!?" Fear was evident in their voice pointing at Soreo, who winced at this expecting much as he was suddenly thrown into a nearby tree. A now common thing he's use to whenever crossing paths with Dan.
"Don't worry, love. I made sure to tell him to stay away from you, and intact.. he actually came here to apologise personally for what he did, but to be fair I highly doubt it compared to the other guy who tried to kill you before" Dan stood their arms crossed glaring at Soreo who shook their head crawling out of another broken tree.
"I mean it. I was fed lies believing she was dangerous by Solar! And feeling that intense energy within her, I knew that I shouldn't have taken the offer at all" Soreo defended himself with rare emotion standing up, as most evil creatures would've attacked when denied fake forgiveness, but it seemed genuine.
"Solar? That sounds familiar" Devina thought swearing she remembered that name from somewhere, but when they stood up and headed towards them. Dan immediately stopped her.
"We don't know if he's telling the truth. I don't want anyone or anything taking you away from me" worry and overprotectiveness etched on his voice when she stopped, but really they wanted to go inside and sleep.
"I want to go to my bed.. I'll let you men sort things out" she was a little annoyed walking past them and went in her home, going straight for a well earned nap after today. Leaving Dan to interrogate Soreo who sat on the dirt showing no signs of aggression at all.
"Now that she's safely out of the way. What do you really want me to tell you?" Soreo asked becoming serious as he walked towards Dan, who huffed with a scowl at them.
"Everything. And why there are people after my woman! Also how to stop them from harming her too" he demanded with a growl clenching his clawed hands into fists, as even Soreo who was a bit bigger than him felt intimidated for some reason.
"Fine. But this is what I know" Soreo sighed preparing to tell the ghost what he knows about Solar, and the realm where they are all from. Including Devina, but that's something he has no clue about as she is just as mysterious since he has never met her before, until coming to this world. "Solar is the one who you previously saw before I was hired correct?" He asked only being given a single nod from Dan, who waited impatiently for more information. "He is the prince of King Lucius, the ruler of the kingdom within The Shattered Reality since our last ruler had fallen at his hand. Taken his wife and killed whatever offspring he had except from Solar, who was spared. But with the energy I'm sensing within your mate.. she shares the similarities of that of someone catastrophically dangerous, seen as a god for his strength, wisdom and grace. She needs to be kept safe or they'll kill her too" Soreo shared their knowledge with Dan who's eyes widened when hearing this, not sure if it was some kind of joke and yet it all made sense.
"So that bastard is trying to kill her because she's potentially related to a god?" Dan asked forcing Soreo to nod clearing any suspicion from his mind, but he still didn't want them near Devina. "Don't tell anyone that's she pregnant. We're keeping it low until the baby is born, as she can't cope with the stress of having their personal space constantly invaded" he added as if giving them a demand to stay quiet about finding out that she's pregnant, and yet Soreo surprisingly agreed. Zipping his mouth shut throwing away the key.
"My lips are sealed. And if you want I can patrol around the area for you, keep any unwanted attention away as the lady rests? It's the least I can do for what I did" Soreo offered to do something useful, Dan glanced around for a moment and back at Soreo.
"Fine. But one wrong move, and you're dead" Dan hissed transforming into his human form and stormed inside, locking the door before going upstairs to check on Devina. She laid on her side silently sleeping in a peaceful slumber in a change of pjs, as he put some on as well and climbed into bed. Brushing a strand of hair from her face, and kissed their forehead before laying down.
