Chapter 175 - Chapter 174: The Lich King Can’t Get Angry Anymore

Yang Tao led his golems and Pokémon straight into the Scourge's main stronghold.

Seeing this, both the Horde and Alliance realized what was happening and immediately sent their forces to join the fight against the undead.

Meanwhile, the Dragonflight continued to guard Naxxramas, eliminating any undead creatures that tried to fly in—gargoyles, frost wyrms, and more.

Before long, they arrived at the imposing Icecrown Citadel, the heart of the Scourge.

Standing atop Naxxramas, Yang Tao looked down and saw the Lich King, Arthas, seated upon the Frozen Throne.

As if sensing his presence, Arthas lifted his gaze to meet his.

"The final battle begins!"

Yang Tao flew straight toward the Lich King, summoning two Arceus along the way.

Within moments, he and the two Arceus arrived before Arthas.

Arthas stared at him. "A stranger? I never expected someone who isn't a slave of the Light to stand before me."

Yang Tao smirked. "Brother, I didn't expect to be standing in front of you either. Guess your reach was just a little too long!"

At that moment, music suddenly blared from Naxxramas, echoing across the entire Icecrown Citadel.

It was the sound system Yang Tao had asked Tony to modify—blasting music loud enough to shake the battlefield.

The music playing in the background was *The Dawn of the Undead*!

Hearing it, Yang Tao smirked.

"Let you die to your own theme song! Go, Arceus!"

The Lich King was indeed powerful, but facing two Arceus—the god-like Pokémon—he stood no chance.

Two massive energy beams shot straight toward Arthas.

He raised Frostmourne to block the attack, but he overestimated the sword forged in the Shadowlands and underestimated the power of Arceus.

After just a few seconds, cracks spread all over the cursed blade. With a loud *snap*, the sword that had doomed Arthas to his tragic fate shattered completely.

The overwhelming energy blast struck Arthas, tearing his body apart.

At the same time, countless souls burst out from the broken remains of Frostmourne—all the spirits that had been trapped within the blade.

Seeing this, Yang Tao motioned for Arceus to stop attacking and watched the scene unfold.

Arthas, heavily wounded, was finally freed from the darkness that had controlled him. He looked at the souls floating before him.

"Father… is it… over?"

King Terenas: "In the end, no king rules forever, my son."

Arthas: "I see… only darkness before me."

With those final words, the Lich King's story came to an end.

King Terenas turned to Yang Tao.

"Hero, someone must take the Lich King's place. Without a leader, the undead will spiral out of control, causing an even greater disaster!"

Yang Tao chuckled.

"No need. I'll wipe out every last Scourge myself!"

The freed souls rose into the sky, returning to the Shadowlands.

Yang Tao picked up Frostmourne's remains and removed the Helm of Domination, tossing it into his bag.

"I'll take this back as a souvenir!"

At that moment, the long-awaited airships of the Alliance and Horde finally arrived. Seeing the fallen Lich King at Yang Tao's feet, they were stunned.

"Holy crap! This guy!"

"The Scourge… is over?"

"Who is this human? I've never seen him before!"

The onlookers whispered among themselves. Then, a paladin from the Alliance stepped forward.

"Honorable hero, I am Tirion Fordring. Thank you for everything you've done for Azeroth."

Yang Tao looked at the tragic yet noble figure before him and replied,

"No need to thank me, Highlord Tirion Fordring. I'm heading back now."

Without lingering to chat with the Horde or Alliance, Yang Tao returned to Naxxramas, where the Bronze Dragonflight's leader and the Red Dragon Queen were waiting.

"The Scourge threat has been dealt with," he said. "I'll have my puppets clean up the remaining undead. I should be going now, but if the Burning Legion ever returns, I'll be back."

The Bronze Dragonflight leader nodded.

"You have earned the title of hero. As a token of gratitude, let Chronormu accompany you. If anything happens, you can send me a message through him."

Yang Tao agreed—after all, getting a free dragon was always a good deal.

At that moment, a large bronze dragon flew in—it was the same one that had delivered the earlier message.

Yang Tao piloted Naxxramas back to the portal. After bidding farewell to the two dragon leaders, he returned to his own world.

He then shut down the large portal, leaving only a small one open.

Looking at the giant bronze dragon beside him, Yang Tao asked,

"Can you turn into a human?"

Chronormu tried but then shook his head.

"No, for some reason, I can't control my energy properly here."

With no choice, Yang Tao took Chronormu back to Azeroth. The moment they arrived, the dragon successfully transformed—into a gnome!

Seeing the small figure before him, Yang Tao was shocked.

"Chromie?!"

Chromie's real name is Chronormu. As the bronze dragon NPC who interacts with players the most, Yang Tao recognized her instantly.

Well, maybe not instantly—among all the dragons, only Chromie liked to take the form of a gnome! He never expected the Bronze Dragon King to be this generous, actually sending his most capable subordinate!

Yang Tao looked at Chromie and asked, "Can you transform into a human or a blood elf?"

Chromie nodded and then changed into a human woman.

Yang Tao took Chromie back to *Minecraft*.

At that moment, his mind was filled with thoughts of a novel he had read before.
