The boy who lost everything in the disaster began a long journey with Yu'er
He walked through forests, trudged through wind and snow, from youthful black hair to the white of age, through countless winters and summers, with no end in sight
Until one day, the boy could walk no more, so he handed Yu'er to another.
He knew that even if he didn't find this person, Yu'er would find the next, but he didn't want Yu'er to spend too much time waiting.
"Let's go find the light."
Yu'er said to the newcomer.
Whenever and wherever, it could always find a being to lead it forward.
Each being had its own thoughts.
As Yu'er traveled, it communicated with various others.
After that disaster, it saw several more of the same kind.
Each glowing city, ultimately destroyed by the same fiery rain.
But people kept searching for those glowing stones, gathering them over and over, building cities with them again and again.
Life cycles endlessly, they, like Yu'er, long for understanding the truth.
