Chapter 6 - POWER OF THE NECKLACE

CHAPTER 6

"At last, my precious dream comes true." The voice sounded again. Turning to look, she was all surprised to find same figure which had tried killing her back in her house. Precisely the demon himself.

"Beat it Franco. Be bold enough and show yourself. Stop hiding in the shadows like some losers. Show your face, I want to know who you are." Kiara snared.

"If you know me you know darkness and death. And if you are really that eager to die, first hand over to me the necklace and you are all in your free will." He responded.

"Keep bluffing in your dreams. Am never going to hand it over to you, not after know it's capabilities and possessions." Kiara barked fearless.

"I can see you are starting to become just like your mother. But you see, that didn't end well for her." He responded with a creepy smile which was visible to all. Kiara's eyes widened at his words.

"So save yourself the stress little girl. The power will be too much for you to handle." He added while Kiara contemplated.

"You killed her." Came out her shadowy voice as she raised back her gaze to his direction. Venom and dispute filled her eyes.

"You killed my mother!!" She yelled. It was all accompanied by a moment of silence as she gased in and out, hardly.

Taking few steps, he approached her.

"Her stubborness and ignorance lead to her death and you are also going down that lain. Your mother was unable to survive it so what gave you the assurance you would?" He spoke a little more like a mockery. "She would had still been alive if she had just handed it over to me when I had asked." He spoked more like whispers.

"Do not hand it over to him Kiara. If the necklace gets destroyed or into the wrong hands then you will surely be affected cause it's now under your care and protection." Jace's voice echoed as he tried to wiggle himself off the demon's grip.

"You have nothing to lose if you do. Just give it to me and it will all be better, I promise." The figure voiced.

"You're right. My mom might have still been alive if she had listened and handed it over to you. But the world would have been destroyed by now. She trusted me enough to had hand it over to me instead. But you are wrong at a part, If I do hand it over to you then I have everything to lose. So I won't." She spoke courageously with smiles.

"I am Kora. Whatever I want, I get." His voiced angered as it sounded like a multiple sound wavery.

A stretcher was brought and the person laying on it caught Kiara's eyes.

"DAD!!" She yelled almost in a tier full eyes. He was laying there unconscious and looked like in a drouth.

"His life now lies in my hands. So hand it over if you want him well and alive." Kora spoke more like warning with a silish grin.

Now upset. Kiara became unaware of what consumed her as she stretched forward her hand and lightning stroke from it towards his direction. He stumbled in surprise and fell to the ground which left his face unknowningly uncovered and visible to all. Everyone was in shock, including Kiara. She had never done that before.

Kora stood back on his feet with his eyes now flickering red and blue in a shade of colour. His aura spoke of darkness. He doesn't look old, neither does he look too young. As a demon, he always uses humans bloods as sacrifices to renew his youth.

"Fine then. If that's the way you want it, then so we will play." He spoke disputely in anger as he created a fire ball with his hands and threw it aiming at her continuously.

Rolling over side by side, she was able to miss it. Gaining an opportunity, she managed to aim a lightening at him only for him to shield it back with his powers and aimed it back at her. Not being able to control it, Kiara was blasted to the the wall with much force than expected. She fell to the ground, hitting her forehead and eventually caused a bleed.

She groaned as she gently stood back on her feet, facing him. Unexpectedly to kora, Kiara turned behind, stroking the other creatures which were holding the simbeos and they were eventually left free. Jace quickly rushed to her fast enough to catch her from falling to the ground. She seemed quite weak. The others joined as more demons approached.

Starting the battle, they tried fighting them off, give Kora a way to examine. His eyes crossed with Kiara's and a smile played on his lips before turning his back and leaving the scene. Kiara quickly took no time in going after him on seeing the others were quite busy and occupied.

She soon met herself in a dark room. Not being able to see anyone or anything but had a strong feeling someone was there. And for demons and devils, they could see through even the darkest of nights.

Turning to look around curiously, the lights went on and everywhere became bright.

The first thing which caught her eyes were the bubbling hot lava which filled most parts of the room. Only few places were without it and she was sure those few parts weren't save neither. Thank goodness she didn't missed her steps in the dark. If not?

"I knew you would be foolish enough to try chase after me without the others. I've been waiting." Footsteps approached from behind. She didn't need to look inorder to know who it was. She turned in annoyance to stair at him in the face.

"You have no idea how bent I am on destroying you. And Mark my words even if that's the last thing I do. I would surely average my mother's death and free the world from evil doers like yourself." She spat to his face and he only returned her a smile.

"Am looking forward to it." He hushered her with is hand and she vent at him in anger.

They began to fight but of course he was getting ahead of her. He was stronger even without trying too much, while she was already weak to the bones from earlier incidents. The marks and injuries on her body were hindering but she wasn't ready to back down. One last hit and she collapsed to the ground as the others rushed in. Kiara was groaning in pain, hardly able to get back on her feet this time around.

"Give the necklace to me. It's that simple and all these would be over." Kora once again repeated.

"And let you destroy the earth with innocent lifes? Over my dead body." She yelled but immediately groaned at the force pressure. She held her stomach and tried to remain steady.

"Why are you just so eager to die darling. Do you miss your mom so much?" He spoke sarcastically then hissed. "Don't push my anger to it's limits cause it's already been hanged at a thread line." He warned. His expression and aura now darkened than before.

"Don't be scared Kiara, we are all here with you." Pearl announced on trying to approach her. Kiara stopped her.

"Don't come any closer pearl. This battle is between me and him. So you should all stay away." Pearl immediately backed down. Kiara then faced Kora who had his sailish grin on as always.

"No matter what you do, it would never be yours cause I won't had it over to you." She grunt. Kora examined her for a minute before smiling.

"I love your courage. Well then, suit yourself." He shrugged.

She watched as he made his way towards Peter. He turned back to face Kiara who looked clueless, then smiled.

"Get up peter." He commanded and Peter did.

"Walk straight... And into that lava." He pointed and Peter obeyed, taking his steady steps relentlessly. Kiara shook her head in disbelief.

"No!" She muttered.

"No!!. Stop!"

"Dad please stop. Don't take any steps further." She pleaded in tiers but it was all to deaf ears as he kept on walking. Jace and the others tried approaching him but couldn't move their feets while Kiara couldn't stand on her own feet.

"Please stop. Don't go!" She cried out.

"He wouldn't, until I say so. And I will only stop him, if you give to me what I want. You made it hard for yourself." Kora respond.

"Okay fine I will give it to you. Just please stop, stop my Dad or else he's going to die. He is all I have Left in this world. Don't take him away from me also." She cried. Kora then smiled in ease.

"Peter, stop!" Kora commanded and immediately he did. Jace shook his head in disapproval.

"What are you doing Kiara? This would be considered as an act of selfishness. You are endangering the whole world by doing so. Putting millions of lives at risk." Jace reminded.
