Chapter 40 - Inside the berry of the titan

Suddenly, an idea flashed through his mind as his gaze lingered on the spear. If he could somehow reach it, maybe, just maybe, he could pierce the titan from the inside and force it to spit him out.

But one look at the jagged walls of its stomach told him it wouldn't be easy. The uneven, slick surface offered no stable footholds; one wrong move and he'd slip straight back down into the crushing, rock-like intestines.

His eyes darted left, then right, searching. That's when he spotted something in a shadowed corner: a length of rope, coiled loosely, and beside it, a beat-up old sword whose blade had seen better days.

Hmm… that could work. The thought stirred a spark of determination across his face.

A second later, he stretched his right hand toward the rope, but it was just out of reach. His fingertips scraped at empty air.

Outside, the titan let out a low, grinding groan, the kind that made the walls vibrate. It sounded almost… eager, as if it had already found its next prey.
