As this boy stood up in front of her, the Energy Psycho remembered the moment that changed her mind, a year ago.
A man came up to her, claiming to be the perfect human.
At first, she didn't want to listen to him, but he made a compelling argument. He was persuasive, and had a counterpoint to every possible objection she could come up with.
Eventually, he gave her the blueprints. The blueprints to a machine that could change the world.
The machine was meant to harness fate! As long as one created the energy core, and swallowed it, they would gain immense power.
She debated it heavily, unsure of whether she wanted to create it or not, but she eventually made a choice.
She was a scientist!
"I have to save the world! I can't let evil go unpunished. They think that they can do anything just because they have powers! I won't let them treat us normal humans like garbage!"
She was filled with rage at the way the Chaotic Demons & Celestial Angels roamed the planet, acting as if they were unstoppable!
The only Celestial Angel she trusted was Vampire. He'd been her closest friend, and she didn't want to hate him.
A very intelligent woman, with every intellectual power she would ever need.
She & her best friend both started working on making this machine.
But, as they worked on it, she realized it.
The machine was making her crazy!
As she worked on the machine, more & more pieces of her humanity started tearing away.
She stopped caring for Vampire, despite the fact that she was once in love with him.
Instead, she became psychotic, psychopathic. Monsterous.
She lost sleep, became obsessed with the machine, and eventually lost her sanity.
The once bright mind who only wanted to create the machine to protect the world from Chaotic Demons had become one of them herself.
One day, when the Dimension God had hired Guerilla's from the other factions in secret, they watched as the Energy Psycho made the greatest mistake of her life!
She accidentally messed with the machine in a way she wasn't supposed to.
It sent a gigantic shockwave out, hitting her, her best friend, and even hitting all of the Guerilla's who were hiding in her castle!
At first, they didn't notice anything, but later, the Energy Psycho realized she had a gift. She was now one of the most powerful women in the world.
This only furthered her to fall into the depths of insanity!
She lost sleep, and time after time, eventually came to the conclusion that she didn't need sleep.
She couldn't control it.
Now, she was a God!
And all she could do currently was look at this person in front of her, someone who was inherently evil.
He had no remorse for anyone. He didn't care for others' lives, and would sacrifice anyone for his desires.
Someone like that, someone with no morals or emotions, that person was nothing but a sociopath.
What kind of damage could that person do with a power like that. She had to kill the Adrenaline Junkie right away.
She looked down on the citizens, fear residing in their gazes.
"Adrenaline Junkie! Save us!"
Rage creased through her entire body.
He's just like me!
She thought that she was a hero, instead, she was feared.
But that Adrenaline Junkie was just like her! Why was he to be celebrated, while she was being treated like a villain!
They were both the same. It wasn't fair!
I did this all for you.
And as a large blaze of energy waved across her, she realized the real truth.
In this battle, she'd have to fight for her life.
As the largest surges of energy subsided, Jesse could see her reeling from it, writhing in pain.
The Energy Psycho, desperate for victory, began to laugh sadistically.
"I see, they see you as a symbol of hope. They think that you can stop my reign. But you don't care about that, do you?"
Smiling, she continued rambling.
"You think you can save them? Save them from years of enslavement?
I OWN THESE PEOPLE! I can do whatever the hell I want to them!"
All of a sudden, from the crowd, a boy, no older than 10, shouted out to the Adrenaline Junkie.
"Please, save us!"
The child sat down, and put his head down.
"The truth is, I've lived in this nation for my entire life. My best friend, he was like a brother to me. He... died..."
As the kid continued to speak, it struck a bit of a chord within the Adrenaline Junkie.
"All he wanted to do... was explore outside of the country! He wanted to be free!"
That one sentence entertained the Adrenaline Junkie.
He thought to himself, 'For you, kid! You only get this once!"
If he were to defeat the Energy Psycho & save the country, it would definitely be fun.
In the end, he was still only thinking of himself.
As the kid continued, more & more citizens started shouting out his name, but they began calling him something different.
A woman, a mother, began speaking as well.
"Please, Adrenaline Junkie! I lost my son to this monster. She killed millions! She needs to die!"
At this point, none of these people cared that he'd killed plenty of people. They were sick & tired of living in war. They wanted to leave this country for good, and be free, even if a demon were to help them.
"Adrenaline Junkie! Save us!"
Now, with their hearts pounding as one, they all shouted through the skies, begging to me.
Regardless, he was planning on defeating this woman right now!
He didn't care what they had to say!
He was going to win!!!
As he teleported all over the nation, the Energy Psycho couldn't keep up with him.
"Heh. It seems like the energy also makes your reflexes faster." He arrogantly snorted.
As the great battle began, all of the observers cried out in unison.
"Adrenaline Junkie! Free us!"
The Energy Psycho used every last bit of power to kill him, but now, it was nearly impossible. He leapt out of the way, throwing giant sparks of energy, speeding up and attacking her.
As they clashed with all their might, the Energy Psycho was becoming more livid.
She just couldn't beat him down!
He was just a useless bum! How was he able to equal her in power!
As Ice, General Krieg, Road & everyone else watched in silence, seeing the amazing display of flashing lights & sparks of energy, they all came to a single conclusion.
This wasn't their battle!
They couldn't do anything, and they definitely couldn't get in the way.
Ice mumbled. "Unbelievable. He's more like some kind of Junkie for Freedom, rather than Adrenaline..."
As the people of the War-Torn Nation heard her, they began chanting a new name!
FREEDOM JUNKIE!
He was a man who was fighting for freedom in a single nation.
As they struck each other, the barrier started coming apart. Cracks started forming through the bright red wall surrounding the nation.
Nobody knew how, but their battle was slowly disintegrating the barrier.
As the Energy Psycho looked on in rage, she cried out.
"Fine! You wanna die so bad, eat this!"
She began to turn into a giant gargling bubbling mass of red energy again, absorbing all of the shockwaves back into her this time.
As she shot out, the Freedom Junkie used the giant mass of swirling light surrounding him to boost his speed & power to abnormal levels - And he ran right into the mass!
A ghastly explosion destroyed everyones ability to see what was going on.
"Who won? Whose behind that dust cloud?" The Dimension God muttered.
The Perfect Human smiled. "It's him, obviously." He seemed to have utmost faith in the newly christened Freedom Junkie.
From the ginormous dust cloud, both of them were seen!
But something was different! It seemed like the Freedom Junkie had the upper hand!
He was going to win!
And who was he? He was me of course.
I was going to defeat her, once and for all!
At that instance, I looked up to the Energy Psycho.
"I know the truth. You could destroy the Red Thread of Fate all this time, couldn't you?"
Reaching out, I grabbed the Red Thread of Fate.
She stumbled, barely conscious, and gasped.
"Don't you fucking dare!"
Smiling, giggling, laughing. My facial expression changed.
And then my tear ducts grew into overdrive - I laughed so hard that I began to cry!
"It's so obvious now. You truly were an excellent enemy. But now, I've won."
She desperately attempted to convince me not to destroy the Red Thread of Fate, begging as if it were an extension of her own life.
"Stop! You could control fate, too! You have all this power! If you destroy the Red Thread of Fate, you won't be able to control Red Energy anymore! Why the fuck would you even want that!?"
Nothing she could do could convince me.
"Adrenaline Junkie! You have all this power! You're probably the strongest Chaotic Demon in the world right now. Would you really give it all up, for what purpose!?"
Smiling from ear to ear, I retorted childishly.
"Who cares! In the end, I'll sacrifice all the power in world just to achieve my goal!"
Exhilaration rushed through me!
"My nearly unattainable goal! My goal of achieving a perfect world for myself! A world in which there's endless excitement! One with endless freedom, the ability to travel freely all across every dimension!!!"
At that moment, the energy psycho quickly gave up. She realized it was a pointless endeavor!
I was never going to listen.
The idea of fate was in direct contrast with what I was trying to obtain!
I was fated to be a pawn, a puppet of Libertas! Why would I continue to let fate exist?
In order to achieve my perfect world, I was willing to remove every moticom of power I had. I'd even get rid of my teleportation if it meant being able to be on an endless adventure throughout time & space.
A world with nonstop thrill, a world where I am in constant danger, a world in which all dimensions can be travelled throughout!
That was the kind of thing I was fighting for!
I wasn't going to give it up just for the power to control the red energy, now matter how strong it'd make me.
"You... BASTARD!!!" She cried out as she flew towards me!
As she did, I grabbed the Red Thread of Fate & pulled.
"He... did it..."
The now conscious GoldenWing stood in awe.
At this moment, the entire world was watching me. They didn't understand what I'd just done, because most of them didn't even know that the Red Thread of Fate even existed.
But the select few who did, they understood exactly what I did.
I destroyed it!
Annihilated it!
Eliminated it!
The entire world was now free!
In anger, the Energy Psycho rushed towards me, but in a final flash of energy, we both clashed!
Our final clash completely shattered the barrier into a million tiny pieces!
The War-Torn Nation was free!
At that moment, the Energy Psycho died instantly - Ripped to shreds by the final shockwave that left her body.
She'd lost her power as a Chaotic Demon! She was just a normal human, now!
And right before she died, she said a final sentence.
"Freedom... Go fuck yourse-"
At that moment, she completely dissipated into a red mist, entirely gone, like sand flying in the wind!
My damaged, brutally beaten body instantly took the blowback. I was unable to use the red energy anymore, no matter how much I tried.
As I suffered a massive headache, I also stated my final words before losing consciousness.
"The second I lose consciousness, my enemies will swarm me, like a giant mass of hornets! War-Torn Nation! Don't forget my sacrifice...
YOU ARE FREE!!!!!!!!!!"
