Evelyn dashed from her position, and in the blink of an eye, she reappeared in front of Rael, her sword in hand.
She slashed the sword down, as if trying to cut his hand off. However, before she could even finish her swing, Rael brought down the bottle on the very tip of her sword, causing her to halt in place as all her momentum just died then and there.
For a moment, Rael expected her to just stop and back off. But to his surprise, in less than a fraction of a second, all of her momentum returned as she suddenly dug her sword straight into his arm.
He wasn't sure whether to be more surprised by the fact that the sword could pierce him, or the fact that even after piercing him, Rael didn't feel any pain or damage.
It was stranger, in a way.
After all, he was technically immortal right now.
So how could she even cut him?
Instead of answering the question he hadn't even posed, Evelyn went ahead and cut off his arms completely, then aimed for his head.
