"If you say so," Rael replied plainly. "But just so you know, I'll always be there to protect you."
A shiver ran down her spine.
"That almost sounds like a marriage proposal. You're not thinking of...?"
Rael rolled his eyes.
"Please... I already have two wives. One potential wife, and maybe another one? Eh, I might be getting ahead of myself. I'm too young for all of this."
"Four wives...? Just how lecherous are you?" Evelyn said, staring at him in disgust.
Heh.
He just shrugged at her, not being able to refute her words.
After all, he was pretty simple to tame when it came down to women who genuinely cared about him.
Zafira and Lilith were the prime examples.
Vatyra would probably be the only marriage that wouldn't involve love, since in the end, Rael had only suggested it for Vatyra to loosen up and for Uriel to have a better future.
As for Gaia...? Rael wasn't sure.
