"Brandon?"
Calling his name, Eira looked around at the courtyard, searching for him.
When she finally spotted him, her steps slowed for a moment.
There, on the far end of the courtyard, Brandon and Florence sat together on a bench beneath the shade of an old willow with some space between them.
Seeing him, she smiled and quickly walked to him "You are here; I was searching for you everywhere."
With a smile, he asked "What happened, Eira?"
She gently sat on his lap and leaned in, resting her elbows against his shoulders "Let's go and eat dinner."
Nodding his head, he turned to Florence "Come on, Florence. You haven't eaten either, have you?"
With a composed smile, she gave a nod "Mhm, let's go."
Eira hummed happily as Brandon helped her stand, intertwining her fingers with his, before glancing back at Florence "Come on, Mother."
