After discussing the Ōtsutsuki from the starry sky with Naruto, Toneri agreed to accompany him on a tour of Konoha Village. Orochimaru and Kabuto, eager to study Hamura Ōtsutsuki's ancient records and witness the moon firsthand, requested Toneri's assistance to return with them later. Seeing their strong desire for knowledge, Toneri consented.
As they walked through Konoha, villagers greeted Naruto warmly. Smiles, bows, and waves followed him wherever he went. After all, this was the hero who had ended the Fourth Great Ninja War.
Toneri looked around in awe. "It seems you are quite popular in this village," he remarked.
Naruto grinned. "Of course! The villagers trust me. That's why they welcome me everywhere I go."
Toneri glanced around, marveling at the lively streets. "Have you always lived in such a vibrant village?" he asked.
"Yes," Naruto replied proudly. "Konoha has always been bustling with life."
Toneri's eyes shone with admiration. "It must be wonderful to live somewhere so full of energy and people."
Naruto smiled and patted his shoulder. "If you like, Toneri, you can live in Konoha for a while. The village is huge—you won't feel out of place."
Toneri nodded slowly. "I'll keep that in mind. Thank you, Naruto."
Laughing, Naruto said, "Don't worry. I'll be the next Hokage, and I always keep my word."
Their walk soon brought them to Ichiraku Ramen. Naruto pointed enthusiastically. "Toneri, this is my favorite ramen shop. Come on, I'll treat you!"
As they entered, Naruto called out, "Hey! Uncle Ichiraku! Two bowls of your classic ramen, please!"
Even before turning around, Uncle Ichiraku knew it was Naruto. "Alright, Naruto! Wait a moment, I'll get them ready!"
Naruto led Toneri to a table and began explaining. "Toneri, I've been eating here since I was a kid. The ramen is incredible. I've brought all my friends here over the years!"
Toneri, curious, leaned in. "Oh? Then I definitely want to try it!"
Moments later, Uncle Ichiraku served two steaming bowls of tonkotsu ramen. He gave Toneri a special smile. "Naruto, meet my new friend!"
Naruto nodded. "Yes, Uncle Ichiraku. This is Toneri. I wouldn't bring him here if he weren't a friend."
Uncle Ichiraku chuckled warmly, wiping his hands with his apron. "Of course! Enjoy your meal."
Naruto immediately dug in, savoring every bite. "Ah! This is amazing! The taste… it's perfect!"
Toneri imitated Naruto's movements carefully, but he ended up choking slightly. "Cough… cough…"
Naruto laughed, patting his back. "Slow down, Toneri. Take smaller bites and sip the broth slowly. Unlike me, you don't need to eat like a maniac."
After a few minutes, Toneri adjusted his technique, tasting the ramen carefully. With each bite, the flavor became more apparent, and soon he was enjoying it fully.
"This… isn't bad at all!" Toneri admitted, wiping his mouth.
Uncle Ichiraku smiled proudly. "I've been serving ramen here for many years. If it wasn't good, Naruto wouldn't bring anyone here!"
Naruto reached for the payment. "Uncle, keep it. We're leaving."
But Uncle Ichiraku waved him off, refusing the money. "Naruto, I heard you're getting married next week, right?"
Naruto nodded. "Yes, Uncle Ichiraku."
Scratching his head, Ichiraku said, "I'll definitely support you. Don't worry—I'll come to your wedding."
Naruto chuckled inwardly. He knew Ichiraku was probably already thinking of a gift. After consideration, Naruto decided he'd get a lifetime pass for free ramen—an unforgettable and fitting gift.
Once Naruto and Toneri stepped outside, Ichiraku's daughter approached. "Father, Naruto is getting married next week!"
"Yes, yes," Ichiraku said. "What should we give him?"
His daughter rolled her eyes. "Ramen! Why not give him free ramen for life? Once he's married, he won't have much money to spend, and this way, he can enjoy his favorite ramen anytime!"
Ichiraku's eyes lit up. "Of course! A lifetime ramen pass for Naruto it is!"
Toneri looked at Naruto curiously. "You're really getting married next week?"
Naruto nodded. "Yes."
"With Hinata?" Toneri asked.
Naruto rolled his eyes. "Of course. Why would I marry anyone else?"
Toneri spread his hands. "I was just asking casually. Why are you so sensitive?"
Naruto snorted. "Because you've been thinking about my wife! How can I not be protective?"
Toneri smiled sheepishly. "Then why did you restore my eyes? Aren't you worried I might try to take Hinata away?"
Naruto shook his head. "No. You have no reason to do so."
Toneri tilted his head, skeptical. "Why not?"
Naruto sighed. "You're seeking the Pure Eye. Now that you have the Byakugan, you have other ways to open the Pure Eye. Taking Hinata would only anger me—and if you anger me, the moon might be in danger. Do you really want to risk that?"
Naruto fixed him with a piercing gaze. Toneri flustered and raised his hands in surrender. "I surrender. You're right."
Naruto laughed, relieved, and continued walking with him through the village.
Suddenly, Hinata ran up from behind. "Naruto!" she called, grabbing his arm unconsciously. "My father was looking for you. I couldn't find you at home, so I followed your chakra."
Naruto smiled warmly. "Alright, let's go back home."
Toneri, seeing Hinata for the second time, greeted her politely. "Hello, Princess Byakugan, Hinata."
Hinata instinctively hid slightly behind Naruto, remembering their previous encounter through Toneri's reincarnation eye.
"Hello, Toneri," she said cautiously.
Toneri bowed slightly. "I mean no harm. What happened before was a misunderstanding. Please forgive me."
Hinata nodded. "It's alright."
Naruto smiled. "The misunderstanding is cleared. Toneri, you can explore the village on your own, or return home if you like. I have something to do, so Hinata and I will head back."
Toneri nodded respectfully. "Very well. You should go first."
And with that, Naruto and Hinata walked off toward the Hyuga residence, leaving Toneri to enjoy his first full day in Konoha Village.
