Chapter 547 - Chapter 547 – The Game of Gate of Opening

The streets of Konoha were alive with a festive atmosphere.

The weather was perfect today—warm sunlight bathing the village in gold as a beautifully decorated wedding carriage, pulled by a snow-white horse, made its way slowly toward the hotel where Tsunade was staying.

Along the street, villagers gathered on both sides, smiling brightly, eyes full of joy and excitement.

Jiraiya sat on horseback at the front of the carriage, visibly thrilled.

He wore a formal ceremonial outfit, holding a bouquet of vibrant flowers, his entire face glowing with a happiness nobody had ever seen on him before.

As the carriage passed, Jiraiya waved to the cheering villagers.

He could feel the love, the warmth, the blessing from every face around him, and his heart surged with gratitude.

He knew today's wedding wasn't just his and Tsunade's.

It felt like the entire village was celebrating.

Only now did Jiraiya finally understand what Naruto must have felt back then—this overwhelming joy, the sensation of being young again, like a teenager stepping into a dream.

The carriage moved steadily along until it reached the hotel.

Jiraiya stepped down, and Minato immediately approached to support him.

Holding the bouquet tightly, Jiraiya smirked and nodded at the hotel entrance.

His four groomsmen lined up behind him.

"Alright, let's go. Follow me up!" he said confidently.

Konohamaru rushed ahead with his camera, determined not to miss a single moment.

Ever since the time he filmed Naruto's wedding—and mistakenly leaked parts of it—everyone had begged him for copies.

Because Naruto was the hero of the world, the footage became a collector's treasure.

A publishing company even approached Konohamaru asking for rights to distribute it.

Konohamaru, being responsible, asked Naruto first.

Naruto simply laughed and said he didn't mind—his image practically belonged to the world already.

Konohamaru was relieved.

The publisher didn't take too much profit, especially since Konohamaru insisted on a higher share so he could give Naruto half.

Hearing Naruto would get the money, the publisher agreed to a 70–30 split—Konohamaru 70, publisher 30.

After all, without Konohamaru, nobody had the right to sell anything involving Naruto.

Thanks to that arrangement, sales exploded.

Konohamaru earned a small fortune and gave Naruto half.

He also realized he had found a new business opportunity.

So today, Konohamaru was determined:

If Naruto's wedding made money, Jiraiya's wedding would too.

Udon and Moegi followed him closely—both now officially hired employees of Konohamaru's little "wedding documentary team."

Jiraiya strode boldly to the hotel entrance.

The hotel owner immediately ran out to greet him.

"Jiraiya-sama, this way! Lady Tsunade is waiting inside!"

The moment the owner learned Jiraiya and Tsunade planned to hold their wedding here, he cleared out rooms, gave Tsunade the best suite, and even spent money decorating the hotel to look festive.

Jiraiya walked up to Tsunade's door, knocked loudly, and declared:

"Tsunade! Gate of Opening — I'm here to pick you up!"

Inside, Tsunade sat upright on the bed in her elegant wedding dress, smiling softly toward the door.

Four bridesmaids—Sakura, Ino, Tenten, and Shizune—stood firmly guarding the entrance.

Hinata waited off to the side, giggling. She wasn't a bridesmaid; she was here purely to help.

Sakura shouted back playfully, "Who are you?!"

Jiraiya immediately recognized her voice and laughed.

"It's me! Jiraiya!"

Ino chimed in boldly, "And what do you think you're doing here?!"

Jiraiya grinned. "I'm here to take my wife, Tsunade, home! Open the door!"

Shizune, cheerful and mischievous today, called out,

"Jiraiya-sama, this door isn't that easy to open! Any other day, sure—but today, you need to give us a little blood."

Jiraiya instantly understood—money.

That he had. Plenty of it.

Shikamaru stepped forward, handing him the red envelopes they prepared.

Jiraiya stuffed several through the crack under the door, but the door didn't budge.

He shoved more.

Still closed.

"No way," Jiraiya complained, knocking again.

"I've stuffed so many! You can't keep it shut like this!"

Tenten counted the money from the other side and said, "Nope! Not enough! With this little? No chance!"

Iruka stepped up.

"How about a compromise? You pass one envelope, they open a small gap. You pass another, they open it a little more. Step by step."

Neji crossed his arms and scolded,

"Tenten, don't be too greedy. It's Jiraiya-sama's wedding."

Tenten puffed her cheeks angrily.

Shizune immediately stepped in protectively.

"Neji, don't guilt-trip Tenten. We're sticking to Iruka's suggestion. Jiraiya-sama, you give the amount we ask, we'll open the Gate of Opening! The bigger the amount, the bigger the gap!"

Jiraiya roared with laughter.

"No problem! Money's not an issue today!"

Shikamaru leaned closer and whispered,

"Jiraiya-sama… you might run out of cash. Want me to use Shadow Imitation to force them?"

Neji's eyes lit up. "Good idea. I'll pinpoint their positions!"

"Byakugan!"

He immediately saw through the door, locating all four bridesmaids.

But Jiraiya stopped him.

"Hey! That ruins the fun. What kind of wedding uses ninjutsu? If we start that, I'll just kick the door down!"

He glanced around—and noticed something missing.

Naruto.

That idiot.

Where was he at the most important moment?

Sasuke stepped forward, expression serious.

"Jiraiya-sama, you need money, right?"

Jiraiya clapped Sasuke on the shoulder.

"That's right."

Sasuke nodded once, then looked at Minato.

"Fourth Hokage, please take me to Naruto."

Minato didn't hesitate.

He placed a hand on Sasuke's shoulder—

With a sharp flash, both vanished.

They teleported straight to the banquet hall.

Naruto was still helping Sai organize seating arrangements.

Konan, Yahiko, and Nagato were helping seat the children of Amegakure.

Naruto jumped when Minato and Sasuke appeared.

"Why are you here?!"

Sasuke gave him the deeply annoyed look only he could deliver.

He had been standing around at the hotel doing nothing because Shikamaru hadn't assigned him a task.

Finally, he found something he could help with.

"Jiraiya-sama ran out of money. I know you've got plenty. I'm here to get some."

Naruto blinked. "At this hour? They still need money?"

Minato chuckled.

"It's for the Gate of Opening."

Naruto instantly understood.

"Give me one minute. I'll be right back."

He vanished in a blur.

Minato stared at the empty space Naruto left behind.

That line—

Wait here, I'll be right back.

It reminded him of himself.

Exactly one minute later, Naruto reappeared carrying a stuffed bag.

"Let's go."

Sasuke raised a hand.

"Nope. I'll stay here. It's embarrassing over there."

And he walked away.

Naruto sighed with a knowing smile.

Sasuke could never be forced.

"Dad, let's go."

Minato nodded.

Another brilliant flash—and father and son materialized right beside Jiraiya.

Only five minutes had passed.
