Chapter 19 - Chapter 6 Arrival

Eta arrives at the edge of the universe, the entirety of the barrier covered in lost ones. They sit on the barrier itself, blocking the view of that which is behind them.

"Why now of all times? It seemed that the stars were deterrents but I guess they were annoyances." Eta continues to pace about the barrier, checking for even a sliver of sight. "What is happening beyond them that they must hide it? Could it be some kind of weapon that can pierce this?" Eta knocks on the barrier, the lost ones not even reacting to the force.

It truly must be trillions of lost ones that litter about just outside. Their frames ever so slightly moving towards one direction. All of them moving to one point on the outside.

"A congregation of drones is strange to say the least. I think I will assume they have a way of entering." Eta finds the point of interest of the lost ones. It lies towards a point where few galaxies exist. A dead zone in the universe, one which has just a few forgotten star cores and dust.

Eta pulls out the scroll of laws. "Could I not just put every scenario I can think of when it comes to the Void in this?" She decides to start writing law after law to hopefully stop each and every loophole.

One such which Eta writes with a large smile being, 'Any being whom has the essence of the Void, whether that be in power or energy, may not enter this universe.'

"It should be full proof, assuming Chi's scroll does not update upon myself writing new laws." She places a hand on her head. "Should I assume such? Am I just letting my imagination run too much now?"

Eta paces around, grasping at a nearby star core. It's soul still alive, calmly watching the far away cosmos.

"What do you think, olden star, one who has seen much of the universe?"

The soul looks to Eta as she grasps its physical form. "Maybe? I'm not too sure what you've even been saying while out here. I guess what I can say is if you imagine the worst, you will live in fear and anxiety though when it doesn't go bad, you'll be pleasantly surprised. If you imagine only the best, you'll be happy until something goes wrong. I guess you can pick your poison or abide by both."

She looks to the core and gently pushes it back to its place. "Then in the interest of being ready, I shall test more."

Eta moves back to the point where all of the lost ones are gathering and creates a star much like she had before. It passes through the barrier and expands to its true size as a star. The lost ones vanish into dust, the star vaporizing all those that existed beyond the veil. She retracts the star back into the universe, placing it in a nearby galaxy for a moment.

Without the light of the star, the void should be black as usual. But, there was a strange red hue to the blackness now. One that felt like a fire on a dark night. Something that should be comforting against the unknown.

"A fire out there? Maybe something other than the void is passing by. Omega had said that there is most likely other universes, maybe some extra-universal being is passing by." She looks closer at the red hue.

Something about it makes her hair stand on end. As if the color is a warning. Something that shouldn't exist outside of existence is currently in the realm of nonexistence. But what could it be? It is no star of Eta's creation that may have wandered afar. It can't be the Void as they dislike light and all that comes from it.

Slowly, a small twinkle of light shines against the back drop of nothingness. One that the color of orange and yellow. It is that of a flame, or maybe a star.

"Something is out there. Is it good or bad?" Eta's hands move to bring out her rainbow glass brush. She paints out three more stars, these with souls placed within.

One passes through the barrier and journeys far into the abyss. It relaying what is out there. It goes thousands of light years, looking to the light in the dark. Then it goes tens of thousands of light years out, finding that it is a flame. It sees a figure made entirely of flame in the form of a human. In it's hands is that of a sword that barely is made out as it is pitch black.

"What is that? A being with a pitch black sword in the hands of a living flame? Ahh, will I say it is good or bad? Let's not take the chance."

Eta pulls out the scroll of laws and writes one more law. 'Those that come in the name of evil may not enter this universe.'

Satisfied, Eta moves back to the wider universe, heading back to her home. The star still outside in the abyss follows the living flames movements as it grows closer and closer to the barrier. Finally, the star sees it's face, that of Chi's face.

Upon seeing such, Eta hastily returns to the dead zone to hopefully see Chi rejected by the barrier upon contact. The flame is blinding as it comes into view. That of a giant made of flames, that which is Chi. He settles just outside the barrier, the sword in his hand radiating an energy of vileness.

"Hello again Eta." His voice resonates through the barrier.

"Hello Chi, I'm sure I know the answer, but why are you here?"

"To turn your universe over to the Void of course, though I expect you figured such out." He reaches out to the barrier

Eta moves back and watches as he reaches further. He touches the barrier, then his fiery hand enters.
